How to Win at Checkers (Every Time} was a great coming of age movie about two brothers just trying to get by. Oat is a young boy who looks up to his older brother Ek. In the movie we see how Ek deals with his relationship with his boyfriend, his struggle to financially support his brother and himself through the perspective of Oat.
I really had no prior knowledge about the draft lottery in Thailand so it was very interesting to see how the two brothers dealt with that. We get to see how Oat develops into more mature person throughout the movie. The relationship between the brothers is heartwarming. The scenes when they're together make you feel so sentimental.
