“Hide and seek” is the Chinese remake of the Korean movie from 2013 with the same title. For those who enjoyed the original movie, I can recommend this one! This version is not as good as the Korean one, but it’s still a good movie with a creepy atmosphere that makes you feel engaged from the very beginning. It’s very intense from start, but unfortunately loses it towards the end. My biggest complaints about the movie is the lack of depth and feelings in the characters. They feel very flat and emotionless, which makes you indifferent to what happens to them. The story itself gives good reason for strong emotions, especially in the main character played by Wallace Huo, so it’s such a shame that they didn’t manage to do that. All in all, it’s an enjoyable movie, especially for those of you that like thrillers.
