Finally Chris Wu in a leading role! The premise of Blowfish and the fact that Ive been wanting to see Chris Wu in a leading role ever since Autumn’s Concerto made this movie a must watch for me… The plot is bare with most of the film centered on the 2 main characters. I’d say 75% of the movie is just silence. You are basically watching them live their daily lives eating, sleeping, working etc. I know I know it doesn’t sound quite fascinating, but really what makes this movie worth watching is the interactions between the main characters. There is not a lot of dialogue but the way the actors showed their developing feelings for each other through their facial expressions really was quite impressive. The chemistry between the 2 actors was amazing. I really liked watching the characters come out of their depression from their former lives and enjoyed watching them make their own new life together. I’ll warn you the way they come together so quickly is quite strange and their developing relationship is also very very strange. Also be warned there are quite a few love scenes but they end quickly. Overall this movie was different than what I usually watch but I still ended up liking it. Overall, It’s a very strange tale of finding new love.
