The relationship between two brothers
Even though I will watch another two movies tomorrow, today is officially my last full day at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival also known as KVIFF.It was awesome, I'm definitely going again next year!
I can say Pierce could be one of the best movies I watched here (if not The best). I witnessed the red carpet presentation of the staff and the main protagonists of the movie (omg the applause was so weak, I felt very sorry for them 😭) and then went to the actual screening.
Ms. Low's speech was awesome, she even cried during it. Almost every seat in the hall was occupied, that was crazy! And then they received so many long and loud applauses I was happy ^^ I hope they will win the main contest, it blew me away how good it was, they deserve it 🙏🥺 I even cried which is very rare for me. The movie is beautiful. I knew it would be good when I saw the big poster at the festival. This is Nelicia Low's debut feature if I'm not mistaken which is even more breathtaking. She is very talented. It left such strong emotions on me that I was trembling after the end and couldn't get to calm myself. If I could I would make another reservation or buy a ticket to watch this masterpiece again!
A big Thank You to Ms. Low, the staff, and the actors, you all did an amazing job 💖🤧Pierce is the best movie of 2024 for me and I think nothing will beat it now. And I'm excited to see what awesome project Nelicia Low will prepare for us in the future :)
Today is one of the happiest days in my life 💖

Two childhood friends reunite after 20 years
I remember one day in May this year when I was browsing through Letterboxd and suddenly, one poster caught my attention. It said Past Lives and after I watched the trailer, I knew I needed to watch it. Unfortunately, one thing interrupted my excitement and it was the fact that it would be released in July, which was two long (boring?) months away :(Today was finally The Day I was waiting for. I couldn't sleep, didn't have hunger, had no motivation to do anything, only wanted to watch Past Lives. So I went with Mom to the second local cinema in my city, which isn't exactly the classic big cinema with multiple screening rooms and a bar with popcorn and other stuff (this has only two screening rooms, a little bar with (mostly alcoholic) drinks). The tickets are like the small pieces of paper in old cinemas. When you sit there it feels like you are sitting in a movie club with movie fans and not with random people, after the end of a movie when you see that everyone still sits in their seats and watch the credits is something so nice that it always warms my heart (in my opinion I think the credits are part of a movie which should be watched as well because by doing so you honor the film and the people who worked on it). I personally like this cinema more than the bigger one that we have here, they do movie marathons, they screen movies that are not in the big cinemas (old or not well-known titles by not well-known directors) and many other nice things ♥
I know I should not say this because it's quite a lazy sentence that won't tell you anything, but everything in this movie was perfect! The ost – it was a big part of the movie, it would be weird without it. The story – it's just a simple story about love which is nice to see after the films I watched. The characters sometimes just stare at each other and it is worth hundreds of words. The cinematography – aesthetic and pleasant to watch like wow every shot was amazing. You feel like you are there with the characters - that is such a great feeling when movies can do this magic ^^ (I was in NY in person and even on the same street eeeee, sorry I needed to flex a little haha) And the Actors – Greta Lee and Teo Yoo were awesome I was already familiar with both of them.
It got me at the end, I couldn't hold the feelings anymore ㅜ-ㅜ
My new comfort movie.
Watched twice already, thinking to watch it for the third time :D
Can't wait to see Song's second movie Materialists (current name) ^^

The adventure of five friends
It's the end of my spring vacation, almost the end of the week, and also the end of the beautiful k-drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One.I will be honest - I cried about 6 or 7 times through the final episode xd
2521 brought me some of my memories with my classmates, fun, happiness, and sadness, it healed my 40°C fever xd, gave me a good time, a lot of life lessons, and many more things - it's still so many that if I could write it here it would be probably like a minimal 500 pages of word document with text size 12 xddd
Also, I'm glad I had the best childhood I ever could have, all thanks to my loving parents ^^♥

As I mentioned in the post of episode 3 on my feed before, it has a superpower, can transfer me to "another dimension", and it's definitely something I would (will? • ᵕ •) watch after a crappy or tiring day. And now I'm going to the main point I said there - If it ends well it will be in my favs.....
..... AND IT WILL!
It didn't end How I thought it will end but that's good I think. Well my ending is still there a few episodes back haha xd
But let's get back to the real ending - I really like how it ended, it's probably better than the one I thought about so here's a big thanks to Kwon Do Eun, Jung Ji Hyun, Kim Seung Ho, and the rest of the staff for creating this beautiful story ^^
And of course, I need to write something about the actors - without them, it wouldn't even be possible xd
I really liked the main gang - Kim Tae Ri, Nam Joo Hyuk, Bona, Choi Hyun Wook, and Lee Joo Myung ♥
I liked all of them and I also discovered them thanks to this drama.
It will be a little tough I think but I'm already planning to watch every drama or movie they were in xdd
I think I will suffer a little but why not set a little challenge right?
Oh I almost forget about the OST xdd
The OST doesn't have as many songs as others but I think it's still enough. I don't know if it's possible to add a link or something to this post, so I will do it in the next one.
That's probably also the end of my little review/thoughts ^^
And because I don't want to end it, here are some final sentences:
• If you will ever write a message, warning or something don't forget to reread it once again - you never know if there isn't a misspelling like do not distrub xdd
• Treasure the moments you experience with your friends and colleagues.
• If you will have a hard time, be tired, bored, or overworked take a pause for a few minutes or an hour, or even a few days off if it's possible, to heal, chill or have a fun time with friends or family ^^
• Even if sometimes it doesn't look like it, your family still loves you no matter what
• If you have a dream go for it, you never know, it might come true
OK, that's it for real now xd
If someone is still reading this then I thank you a lot for reading this ^^
I had a really good time with this :)
Well I know I said this is THE END but let me write a few quotes please :)
• “In some moments, we’re doing our best but all of that is just a practice.”
• “Doing your best is a given. Don’t just do your best. You have to do well.”
• “Your skills don’t improve consistently but in steps.”
• “Improve your perspective. That will help you to see yourself objectively.”
• “Back then, I believed I could have everything. There were so many things I wanted to have. I had thought love and friendship were mine to have for a brief moment.”
• “Feeling pressure is also an experience.”
• “Life is long and fireworks are short.”
• “The summer belongs to us!”
• “Running away isn’t the solution.”
• “You have no idea how much your love has brightened up my life.”
• “Let’s suffer together when we’re in pain. It’s 100 times better than being lonely alone.”
• “You always lead me to do what is right and to a good place.”
• “It’s not a rainbow. It’s love.”

A well-made horror movie
I will never go on late-night walks ever again. The chances of encountering a possessed Ji Hyun are too high after watching this movie 😭😭😭But still, it was fun and scary, I enjoyed it a lot. I thought it would be like the classic ghost-hunting videos on yt but I was kindly surprised. I need to find more of these horrors that aren't just some cheap jump-scare only garbage where you aren't scared even a little bit.

The characters were great, I like the class and the teacher - they remind me of my school ♥
My hopes for season 2 are low because even though I want more, I don't think there will be more.
Still, I enjoyed this drama a lot. One of the main reasons is that I watched it with my parents and they liked it (like my dad said that if I want to watch something he will watch it with me so I was a little worried at first because he never watched any Asian drama, only a few Pinku-eiga movies I watched and I saw the romance and love triangle tags so I thought it might not be for him, but it went well and my mom joined too so I think it was a win-win situation), so I guess their journey to dramaland is beginning and I will be more than happy to guide them hehe ^^
