Buckle up to watch her worst enemy become her one and only love!

First of all, I’m thankful to a good friend of mine who recommended this to me during the holidays because hands down, this for me was the best Thai lakorn of 2020. It had all the elements that I love in a drama, a perfectly executed storyline, BGM/OSTs, production, even the actors and actresses did a fantastic job portraying their characters. Mainly, it’s one of the storylines that makes you binge watch, guessing all the possibilities and see the mysteries unfold slowly without having to go through boring or fast forwarding moments.

This drama is a perfect combination of romance, comedy, action, and of course, mystery/suspense. The storyline revolves around a hitman who gets assigned to kill the elder sister of his ex-girlfriend (You’ll know the reason why), but instead of killing her, he becomes the person who protects her from all the evil encounters. Even though both leads are met with many misunderstandings, their hate-to-love relationship grow into something special as they both unfold the mysteries behind the FL's younger sister’s death, illegal drug smuggling case within the FL’s company, their own misunderstandings, etc. I would strongly recommend you to watch this because I really do not want to spoil you with anything else. Mainly because this lakorn has 19 episodes and the storyline is the main thing that keeps you in suspense until the very end.

When it comes to the actors and actresses, I will be honest and say I was not a huge fan of both the leads. I have watched Mik in some of his previous lakorns, so to me, he was pretty average. After this lakorn, my thoughts have completely changed because ladies and gentlemen! Mik can act! His role here as the bad-ass, kind, caring, protective, smart, and mainly, ROMANTIC bodyguard will make you fall for him! When it comes to the FL, instantly I felt annoyed with her voice because it is my first time watching her. However, trust me on this, everything else about this drama will make you forget about the negative aspects of the FL! Especially the romantic, funny moments between the leads! Their chemistry is on fire guys! Other than that, you will also come across lovable side characters and of course, the evil ones with many secrets! By the way, this lakorn does not focus on a secondary couple (although there are few cute/funny moments between a potential couple), but mainly, you will adore the bromance between our ML and his cute, ride-or-die best friend, Pong. Pong will be one of your favorite characters for sure!

Last but not least, the production of this lakorn was amazing! The OSTs and BGM adds so much flavor and intensity to this lakorn. For example, some of the action scenes reminded me of k-dramas like The K2 due to the intensity factor.

With that being said, I would highly recommend this lakorn to anyone! This will be a memorable one in my list because I laughed A LOT, shed some tears, and let’s just say I fell hard for this lakorn (Let’s not forget Mik hehe). Hope to see more storylines like these in the future.

Lacked Romance, Still a Decent Action Lakorn

If you’re into mafia, crimes, investigation, action genres, this lakorn is highly recommended. I would have given this a higher rating, because the cast, production, plot, OSTs were incredible. However, this lakorn lacked romance as it mainly focused on the missions of Irawan (the police unit) to capture the villains and end the illegal activities/crimes.

For a person like me who watches dramas for romance and chemistry between the leads, the romance part of the plot was lacking in so many ways. Regardless, I still enjoyed this drama from the beginning. Here are some pros and cons if you are planning to give this a go!

Pros:
• POP THAGOON (Get ready to fan girl over our handsome Wasan! His character is the star of this show. He is one of the reasons why I continued to watch each and every episode. I don’t know about others, but for me, he is the male lead in my heart)
• Great production (Especially the action scenes! These were intense)
• Storyline is pretty solid with plot twists, so if you’re going to watch it, get ready for the guessing game to find whose good and whose bad!

Cons:
• Lack of romance
• The ending (If you’re TeamWasan like me, you will hate the ending)

Honestly, I feel that this lakorn would have higher ratings if it focused a bit more on Wasan and Ika’s love story aside from the main plot. Even with the slightest amount of scenes we’ve got from them, I still felt their chemistry so much more than the “main leads,” Nat and Lan.

Anyways, I hope you all give this one a try because it is a great watch. At the least, you will definitely enjoy watching Pop Thagoon!

Last but not least, thanks NekoMeowMeow for the English subtitles!

What a battle that was! #TeamWork

If you’re looking for a cute, romance as the main storyline, then this drama is not for you. However, the main plot of the drama is very good and anticipating because it’s a battle between Venus, a cunning, evil woman who is an angel to the whole world, but inside, a devil vs. her victims, Ai, Pornparn, and Kwan #GirlPowerBaby!! who tries everything possible to unmask the real side of the villain.

Venus as a life coach does a great job manipulating the world for her own benefits. With her cunning games and mind, she was even able to manipulate, betray and use the ones closest to her (actually cares and loves her). Therefore, I found the whole teamwork of those 3 ladies who are her victims, just trying to find evidence to expose and take down Venus to be so satisfying! Every single episode, I was just waiting and waiting, but honestly, it did take a whole 12 episodes to finally bring this evil woman down, but it was so worth it! (Except for the last scene, ugh I don’t know why it was there) For some characters like Fin and Non, I wish they had a better ending, but everyone has to pay their karma right!

Ley Luang did lack my typical cup of tea genre “romance.” Although there is a cute romance plot of our main couple, Ai and Chawin AKA the most perfect boyfriend/husband in the world, I still did not find good chemistry between them. I mean the story was cute or whatever, but the chemistry felt bland and boring. I mean, the main plot was not about them or their love story, so I guess it’s understandable.

Overall it’s a great watch, solid plot. Did not feel so draggy or boring (although it’s 12 episodes, 1.5 hour long). Music and OST were decent. I liked everyone’s acting. Especially Cheer! Like I hated her character in the entire show and could not wait to see her go down! Lol that’s how you know an actor or actress did their job perfectly.

One of the Most Frustrating Plots

I have not written a review for a lakorn so long. Here goes my rants!

I’m not digging this lakorn, I saw many positive reviews, but I’m on the other side of the road, so frustrated with the plot and characters. Bad Romeo started off pretty decent, but to me this lakorn is a rocky ride. Compared to Game Rai Game Ruk (Yaya/Nadech) lakorn that had the similar concept, Bad Romeo was a huge disappointment.

Let’s talk about romance. I liked the way Kim and Kla met, how their story started and had their short sweet moments together, but did I feel a true love between those two? Heck No. Everything just felt forced and not real. Right after the one night stand, Kla likes Kim, like how or why? The baby comes into the picture, and that forces them to get together for the short period of time. Again, Kla leaves this pregnant woman who is new to his village, family or whatever all by herself when she needs close attention and care. He did not have to travel far to work, like I’m sure he could’ve done something to be by her side. I’m sorry, but this whole plot is a mess!

Next comes the lack of trust. Misunderstandings happen because of evil set ups by Kim’s father and other annoying characters. In the beginning, Kim doubts Kla, and does not believe him. Do I blame her here? Not really, she’s still learning about him, and the first times, she had her reasons. However, love means trust, which both of them lacked for each other even after years later. That’s what frustrates me. Even after 7 years, the truths are revealed, both of them trying to reconcile with each other, going back and forth, even after I feel like “oh my god, they finally understood each other” at Episode 15, there goes Kim believing her father instead of Kla. We are again back to point A, where this whole mess started. I just did not feel their love was genuine. When love does not feel genuine, chemistry is also not there for me. Don’t come at me, but I just found some of Mario’s scenes with Yaya so cringy. Like some kisses for example looks so fake and forced ugh!

Like when Kim went back to Kla’s village to reconcile with him, home girl was still wearing the engagement ring with Tan… like make up your damn mind… Both of them were just going back and forth, back and fourth (especially signing the divorce application like how many times did they go back and forth while the other person is playing hard to get type of shit), like I did not feel true love at all. Not only that, being unfaithful to their partners and using them as tools too. Mind you, at the end of Episode 15, I actually hoped for a shitty ending for them because they deserve to have bad ending for being just annoying, dumb characters.

I felt extremely sorry for Tan and Claire’s characters here. I wish those two got together in the end (least annoying characters for me along with Kla’s dad). I liked Tan, but it’s super hard to ship him with Kim’s back stabbing friend who cares about herself more than anyone else.

Last but not least, the whole situation with the Asia, the step mom is disgusting... I saw people in the comment section indicating Kla and Asia had a sexual relationship (God, just watched the finale and she's actually Kla's mother!!!). Just seeing those seductive scenes made me uncomfortable as hell! So I don’t even want to think about an actual relationship. Yes, Kla maybe a victim but that’s still disgusting!! Like you are into someone who looks like your own son!

Ugh anyways, I don’t know what this writer was thinking. This to me was a frustrating lakorn overall. I could go on more with things that frustrates me about this lakorn for pages.

Which team are you? Jinny and Tej or Kul and Wat?

What a phenomenal drama this was! Definitely one of my favorites of 2021! This was so refreshing to watch and I can say this Thai lakorn had all the elements I usually look for in a drama, a birth mystery, illegal drug trafficking case, and most of all, romance and comedic moments with the cutest, not your typical, couples !

What I loved about this drama:

- Tej (Of course in Alek’s body) and Jinny! I loved this pair so much because their characters matched so well together. Chemistry between these two were on flames! I love, love, love my sassy, fierce, cute, seductive Jinny! She’s not your typical Nang’ek you see in typical Thai lakorns, but she was so selfless, and loved who she loved more than the words can describe. With her being paired with the preserved, kind, smart Tej was just magic. These two are definitely one of my favorite on-screen couples and I really want to see them in another lakorn, SOON!

- Bua and Krating! Another couple I enjoyed, but unfortunately, didn’t win my heart as Jinny and Tej lol, perhaps because I’m too biased towards Alek and Pichukkana. Also, Wat in Krating’s body was just not a guy you would root for. He was just an asshole throughout half of the drama. Also, their love story just was not buyable to me. Can you imagine Kul falling for a messed up jerk like Wat? Like that fast? Especially when she rejected Tej. That man is every girls dream!

- Aside from these cute romance plots, the storyline was well written, directed from beginning to end and was not predictable at all. Most of the episodes had a surprise, jaw dropping moment that kept you binge watch to find how everything unravels. I liked how the plot revolved around multiple elements, the drug case, switching bodies, the whole dilemma with Tej’s parents love life. I think that’s why I was never bored of this drama.

- The ending! Like I said, it was not predictable. In a supernatural genre drama like this, you picture several ways how it could have ended, and I’m so glad they chose the ending they did. Every mystery was solved, every question was answered, the evil minded people faced their own karma, and forgiven. Most of all, we got a happy ending for both couples! If you watched the drama, you know who ends up with who and in whose body haha, so with how things ended, I’m fully satisfied! #Teamyouknowwho

I genuinely do not have any dislikes for this drama. One thing I do think they could have included in the drama is to show how the couples lives can go on after how things ended, like especially career wise. I still don’t know how it could have worked out, unless they start all over again lol.

Overall, this was such an incredible drama. I loved the cast and their acting (on point), loved the music, loved everything about this drama.

So thank you Switch of Fate Team for creating such a beautiful, heart warming drama for us viewers. Last but not least, thank you NekoMeowMeow and the other official subbers for providing the English subtitles.

Beautiful Hidden Gem

I know I am like almost five years late, but can I just say wow? What a beautiful, heart-warning lakorn this was. I’m so thankful I came across this one even after many years.

This is one of the lakorns that I have a very hard time moving on. The reason for that is the lovely leads. Khun Ton and Vana really won my heart and these two will remain as one of my favorite and memorable couples of all time. Although there weren’t many lovey, dovey scenes between these two leads, I still felt their love and chemistry through their dialogues and just with them staring each other’s eyes.

To me, the main supernatural, fantasy plot was pretty decent as it was a continuous battle between good (FL who is a Nymph) vs. evil (Our villain who practices black magic/witch craft), with a final battle at the end. I loved the side stories of the other minor couples. There were many comedic moments.

What mainly kept me watching was the bond between Ton and Vana. It made my heart melt every time Ton stepped into help Vana knowing his lifespan gets shorter each time he saves her from danger. Even then, Ton did everything to make sure she was safe. Also, knowing Vana’s soul would perish if she was in love with anyone, Ton did not confess his love, until his last breath. This moment was heartbreaking, but so precious at the same time.

Going into this lakorn, I had a feeling this would be an open ending as this was a love story between a human and a nymph. Regardless, I am going to try to interpret the ending as the two leads are reborn into humans (Kids of Yogurt/Champ and Poh) and destined to be together in that life.

Last but not least, the OST was beautiful. Production and special effects were not the best, but it was watchable considering this is an older lakorn.

Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this lakorn and I hope there will be a second season someday to conclude the love story of Ton and Vana in their next life.

Cuteness Overloaded!

This was one of the cutest, most adorable lakorns I’ve watched in a while. Although I do like rom-coms, I find most of them cliche and just gets boring to watch on the road to finish. On the opposite side of the road, Karat Rak to me had many unique aspects (including characters, plot phase) and felt like a pretty smooth ride.

Let me start with the plot. Yes, it’s your typical older woman, younger man type of plot. Karat, a 39 year old successful single mother who falls in love with Ai, a 23 year old intern after going through a divorce thanks to an unfaithful, cheating husband. Normally you would expect this type of plot to be a dramatic melodrama where you’ll need a whole lot of tissues (Yes, you’ll need them later on, but it’s not that bad). In this case, it honestly was a smooth ride with lots of laughs and cuteness because of the comedy factor. To summarize, the plot focuses on Karat’s aims to reach peak of her career with Ai’s help and Ai’s goal to win the girl of his dreams.

Let’s talk about the characters. I am gonna start with my favorite pair, Ai and Putter! Ai is your typical husband goals ! Oh my god, I LOVED the relationship with him and Karat’s son, Putter! They had this cutest, most realistic father-son, little bromance type relationship where instantly, you just fall for Ai’s character. I’m not a huge James Ji fan because I’ve seen enough of him playing the nice guy roles, but personally, this was special. This was that lakorn that made me a fan of James Ji! I think these type of playful, nice-guy roles fits him perfectly.

When it comes to our leads, Ai and Karat, did I think they had chemistry? Sure. I mean, they were cute together, but sometimes, certain scenes felt cringy because the age gap was so noticeable. You have James Ji looking like a 18-19 year old while Ann looking way older. I thought maybe Bella would have been a good fit for this female lead, but I mean as long as our leads are happy with each other, that’s what matters so yes, I was rooting for a happy ending without any separations, misunderstandings or heartbreaks. As a complete family though, they were just the most adorable family ever! Especially my little Putter! He’s my star of the show.

Side characters (good and annoying) also added a kick to this lakorn. I loved the little cat fights lol, those were entertaining cause some of the characters do annoy you, and it’s so satisfying to see them get what they deserve. Karma always catches up! So I’m happy with the consequences to those ones.

Aside from those, I think the production quality was great. The OST “We Are Alright” is beautiful! The only thing I feel that could be improved about this drama is the ending. It felt a bit rushed after the dragging the drama in the last 2-3 episodes (typical). I would love to have more cute moments between Ai and Karat, and as they build their little family. I would love to see little Putter calling P’Ai, Pa instead of P! Because they sure do like and act like father and son. Same goes to you Ai! Stop calling your dream girl P’ lol She’s no longer your boss, I just find those little things a bit cringy, and keep hoping for developments later on. Haha

Another beautiful hate to love story! This time, he became her forever sunshine!

Just finished watching this beautiful lakorn. It was honestly an emotional roller coaster ride and I will have a hard time moving on from this one thanks to our lovely leads, Arthit and Paeng.

When it comes to the plot, I can say I enjoyed the storyline from beginning to very end. Even though this lakorn feels long because of its 19 episodes, the story has its own phases. For example, beginning episodes focuses on the part where Paeng loses both her parents and struggles to adapt to her new life with Arthit’s family at their farm. From there, she falls in love with Arthit because aside from Arthit’s dad, he’s the only one who is kind to her, who understands her, who makes her feel like she’s not alone. However, at the time, he only sees her as a younger sister, nothing else. As she tries hard to cling to Arthit, he ends up hating her and pushing Paeng away. After an “incident” that puts Arthit in a life or death situation, Paeng has to leave the farm to atone for her mistake, and the story fast-forwards her life up until she graduates from university, and of course, returns back to the farm to help Arthit’s dad on behalf of his request to use her agricultural degree and starts on the rose garden project.

Personally, this is where the storyline gets really interesting. Not only the plot focuses on the development of Arthit’s hatred towards Paeng turning into love, but the mystery behind Paeng’s parents death comes into light. Even as a lakorn lover for many years, I myself did not expect this plot twist.

Also, this is the part where our two leads begin to have beautiful moments full of chemistry! These moments between them were amazing (I will be rewatching these scenes!). You could feel their emotions! Especially Mark, I’ve got to say that he did a fantastic job portraying as Arthit!

Oh, and the plot does focus on side couples, side characters, and annoying ones! Music, background music, and production were great quality too! These things made the lakorn more emotional!

By the way guys, some of you may find certain parts of the plot very slow, or even boring, but personally, I enjoyed this lakorn as it was a great combination of romance, comedy, friendship, and of course you’ll see surprises!

I would say, give this one a try! I would highly recommend it! And if you’re one of those who find this to be slow, hang on up at least until Episode 10! This is where the real plot kicks in!

Thanks for reading and see you in the next lakorn/drama!

The end of the battle!

If you’ve liked and enjoyed the first season of Songkram Nak Pan, then you will most probably enjoy the second season. To answer the other question of should you watch the first season before watching this? Yes, because this is a continuation of the story and you would have to watch the first season to understand what’s going on. Also, the first season will let you know whether this will be your cup of tea or not.

I’m still debating which season I liked more than the other, because like I said on my review on season one, what kept me watching the show was the love story of Peesang and Botklon. In this season, we’ve had more skinship between them and man, the chemistry was off the roof! When it came to their story, I liked the first season better (even though less skinship) because the emotions and the story felt more pure and genuine. That’s why I hoped for the writer to not ruin their love story, because it was pure, unlike what happened with Mook’s partners. So I’m glad the writer gave them a pure love story with the happy ending, and LOTS OF FIN MOMENTS!!

I was shocked by the ending to be honest. While the battle between Elle and Pure ended and both came to good terms after having all the evil characters get what they deserve, I didn’t expect one of them to make a comeback and stir up the the drama to have that ending. Personally, I was not devastated, just because Mook and Tan were not my number one couple from the beginning. They of course did not have a perfect love story, so I did not have high expectations for them to have a perfect ending. Although I wish for Tan and Mook to have a happy ending, I am satisfied with how the drama ended.

Overall, I liked this drama (mainly because of Tre and Nat). It had multiple side stories but I think the writer gave all the stories a closure (good or bad). I don’t think there were any plot holes either, except for who is the baby’s father, but it really does not matter as that was needed for Mook to see how much love Songprod had for that baby and her, whether the baby was his or Tan’s.

Last but not least, the BGM and OST gave a dramatic, intense touch to the drama, which you will love if you’re a fan of melodramas. All the actors and actresses did an amazing job portraying their characters. My favorite character however was Peesang <3

Get ready for a whole lot of WTF moments!

If you’re looking for a drama with a strong, lovable male lead, this lakorn is not for you. Let me begin by saying the male lead in this lakorn have a long list of horrible characteristics that will make you just want to punch the screen and your blood pressure will go up. So if you are planning to watch this, get ready to rant and buckle up for a whole lot of WTF moments.

Personally, I did enjoy the rom-com like storyline of the whole arranged marriage concept with the twist of switching the actual bride from the rich family to our lovely female lead to deceive the male lead despite the whole backlash received due to a specific explicit rape scene on Episode 9 and the aftermath of that scene. Regarding this scene, I do have to agree with the audience and I find the backlash reasonable as this aired on a family-like channel which barely shows “lovey dovey” scenes (For example, most of the kissing scenes are usually edited out in their lakorns, but this scene went live and felt that it is inappropriate). However, the aftermath of the whole alleged rape is reality in some cases. Even though we all hated seeing the female lead facing negative reactions from people surrounding her (especially her husband), that is just reality.

Personally, even with the backlash, I did not feel like dropping this lakorn half way through, I wanted to see what goes on up until the end. Beginning to middle of the lakorn felt way too overdramatic for me. Like I found the male lead’s acting overdramatic and cringy in the beginning episodes. He definitely ended up in my list of worst male leads. Gem of the lakorn for me was the female lead. I loved her acting, loved her characteristics. I felt her acting made her character more realistic to the point where viewers felt her happiness and sorrow where at a point, I wished the female lead does not end up with the male lead and have their “happily ever after” ending. However, the last couple of episodes made their feelings more genuine (maybe because of the less overdramatic rom-com like acting). Most of the time, I enjoyed the lead couples FIN moments towards the end of the lakorn and I really wanted to see Jiew and Tee together! I thought they would make such a cute couple.

Overall, this is a decent lakorn. The plot was solid and ended very nicely. I loved the OST. The production was not the best (like the last episodes were edited badly, I believe they had to remove scenes and re-edit due to the backlash). Cast did a fantastic job as well. So I am definitely looking forward to see Pie Ramida and Bright in the future lakorns.

Similar to the Show “Big Brother.” The Prize: Katha Singh

Katha Singh! Where can I begin? Not going to lie, going into this lakorn, I was a bit scared because I’m not a huge fan of historical (AKA: Boran) lakorns. As this plot involves present and past life, I thought they’ll focus on storytelling both present and past life equally due to this being 18 episodes long. But boy I was wrong and I’m very thankful for that. So if you’re someone like me, and not a huge fan of historical aspect, then you’ll definitely enjoy this drama because the historical parts are less than five precent of the entire drama.

Next comes the genre. This lakorn is a mixture of a whole lot of action (hella gun/sword fights, black magic, etc.) and a decent amount of romance and comedy. The storyline revolves around Katha Singh, a powerful historical wand that not only connects present and past, but brings our lovely leads together. Due to the Katha Singh’s greatest power, many different parties with greed for money and power becomes the hunters to be the sole owner (if you watched the show Big Brother, this drama is pretty much that). Allies switches up back and forth until you kinda get confused whose on which side lol. Anyways, which party do you think won the battle and became the owner of this magical wand? Let me give you a hint, it’s a battle between greed and love.

Personally to me, this drama was extremely strong from the beginning to the middle, but felt a little repetitive and draggy towards the end (very little romance from middle to end). Regardless, I cannot say it was boring to watch. From the first episode, you kind of get an idea of what the storyline is about, who the characters are instantly. Each and every episode was intense due to the good balance of high quality production, background music and OSTs, storyline, and the characters. I lost count of the times I watched those fight scenes over and over because those were intense and production was epic!

Now comes our characters. Let’s talk about the leads, Sirinda and Trai. I loved them together and I think they made such a cute couple. The chemistry was good. I feel like Sirinda’s character could be more stronger (if not physically, least mentally or with black magic). On the other hand, I have to give a big applause to Bank Arthit. Him in action is a GEM! That man can fight (just not me please lol), but I would definitely watch him fight all day long! Expressions wise, I think both of them do need improvements. The two side couples (along with the policemen) were cute and fun to watch. Going to the conclusion and ending with spoilers below.

Overall, this drama was a great watch. One thing I can say though, the ending felt a bit rushed and was questionable. There were plot holes and questions without answers. Like how did Sitha have that condition in the first place? That was never explained. The open ending was also confusing. Did they go forward in time? Like reincarnation to another life? Would everyone end up knowing each other? Like are Niran and Trai siblings? What about the evil people? Are they in that life time as well? Like many questions without answers. I kind of hope there’s a season two to conclude everything, but other than that, this was a great action drama and a fun watch.

Last but not least, thank you NekoMeowMeow for the English subtitles!

One of the biggest WTF moments I’ve ever seen in a drama!

I see a lot of people say this was a predictable lakorn, but for me, I think this lakorn had a whole lot of surprises (especially on Episode 14). Overall, it is a decent lakorn and I would give this an 8.5 out of 10. Did I enjoy this lakorn? Yes. Was this lakorn lacking in so many ways? Yes, this could have been so much better if this storyline went on a better direction and had a good balance of romance, mystery (this was so predictable since we were given so many hints of who the villain was early on), and comedy.

If you’re a fan of the leads, give this one a go! But be warned, this is a slow-burn romance type of a drama with an okay plot that just does not make sense (don’t forget the plot holes).

What I liked:
- Although this drama lacked romance and we barely got any FIN moments between the leads, I still loved seeing Masu and Mo together. This is probably my favorite drama of Masu, and I hope to see him in future projects. Mo, I think she is average.
- Friendship between Mong and Lee! First surprise of this lakorn was Lee being lesbian lol Never saw that coming!
- Khun Tin! I’m just having so many second lead syndromes this year. Every girl needs a Khun Tin in their lives.
- Background music and music were also good. Kept a good balance without having the drama being over dramatic.

What I did not like:
- The plot. Honestly, this lakorn had a really promising start and could have been so much better if the main plot was focused on the aftermath of the accident and revenge of Mong (similar to Kleun Cheewit), but the majority of the drama just focused on the office romance between Mong and Jit instead of Mong taking revenge on the person who hit Mon. Office romance was a cute concept, but if a drama is focusing on that, at least give the audience more FIN moments. I found the whole company issues to be boring and draggy. I did like the whole plot twist of Goh seeking for revenge (obviously where company issues come from ), but again, I felt like the plot could have had a good balance. Also, what the heck was that moment in Episode 14? My jaw dropped! I kept questioning, what were they thinking? like why! It just did not make sense to have that plot twist in there.
- The ending felt rushed. Was I happy with the ending? Yes and No. I am very happy that Goh ended up disabled for what he had done to the family who seemed to have helped Goh, but we never got to find the reason for his dad’s suicide. Not only that, I wanted Goh to regret his actions when he finds out the “truth” about the suicide or who actually cheated on his family business, but I guess that will forever be a mystery, just like that one lady who helped Goh.

See you in the next drama/lakorn!

Get ready for an average, but fluffy, office romance

To me, it will be your average, but fluffy rom-com of a CEO/employee’s blooming love surrounding other minor plots.

The storyline was okay, but I would not say it was amazing because it did not keep me edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next (like there will not be any mysteries to be unfolded). Felt some parts of the drama to be very bland and draggy. The main plot of course revolves around the ML (CEO who is cold hearted on the outside but warm hearted inside) who is secretly in love with the FL (Employee who had never been in love), and how he finally gets the courage to make the confession to be her first love. Other than that, minor plots include the second leading couple’s love story, ML’s sister’s love life, multiple company issues (I actually found the company issue parts very boring), but at least, there will not be annoying breakups or huge misunderstandings.

Romance and chemistry between the first and second leads were cute, but I do wish we’ve gotten more FIN moments. The leads had good characteristics in my opinion, and certain characters will annoy you (especially in the last few episodes).

In terms of BGM, again, I think it was average. It just gave the drama that light and fluffy feel to it, but nothing dramatic or intense.

Overall, it is a decent drama to watch, especially if you have nothing cute to watch.

Get ready for a cute rom-com with a battle between greed and love!

Got into the drama because of the leads after watching a little bit of the trailer, but I did not read the synopsis before getting myself into watching this drama because I didn’t want to spoil myself too much.

And here I am, writing this review after binge watching this cute rom-com! From beginning to end, this drama has its elements of suspense, action, friendship and mainly, the cute comedy/romance between Xue Yue and Gao Zhen He. This mixture of genre will instantly draw you into the drama and you will long for more and more episodes.

The beginning to middle of the drama is light and fluffy! The story involves GZH, who is a jewel hunter (working under Lia Zi’s contract) being chased by a group of people. During the chase, his car falls down a cliff. When GZH wakes up, he meets XY, the leader of a mysterious tribe that’s secluded from the modern world. XY instantly falls for GZH and makes him “her man” by having a wedding ceremony. However, GZH’s motive all along was only to escape back to the modern world with a Star Stone gem that’s given to XY by her mother. Of course our girl XY does not give up and chases after GZH into the modern world and that’s where their love story begins, and mysteries begin to unfold.

Personally, from the beginning of this drama, what made me continue watching is the two leads and their cute romance/comedy scenes! Trust me, they are so adorable together and have hilarious moments. The FL is innocent, cute, naive, but brave and badass, while the ML is cold hearted, sneaky (FYI, the things he does might get on some people’s nerves), but XY’s love brings out the better, good persona of him, while he teaches her about the modern world while protecting her.

By the way guys, aside from the romance between these cuties, there’s a larger plot to this drama, which of course involve the mystery behind GZH’s major task under his contract. It will keep you in suspense, and there will be a plot twist because certain characters in this drama, you will not be able to tell if they are “good or bad,” especially towards the middle or end of the drama.

Overall, I enjoyed the storyline, I did feel it was a little bit draggy and had some annoying plots towards the end (because there’s a point in the drama where it gets all serious and looses the rom-com feel you feel in the beginning). I think the romance of the two leads will still keep you watching the show. Not only that, all the main characters love stories were fulfilled! So you will not suffer a second lead syndrome!

Oh last but not least, BGM was a bonus and made this drama have a more emotional, intense feeling. I believe the actors and actresses did a great job portraying their characters.

Peesang and Botklon Made Me Keep Watching!

Overall, it’s a decent lakorn. It does not have a major plot rather than the rivalry between the two managers Elle and Pure, a birth secret, and of course the love stories of their actors and actresses! It does leaves the viewers with a cliffhanger, but there is season two to continue the storyline (which I have not watched yet and hope does justice).

Personally, what kept me watching this lakorn was Peesang and Botklon’s cute little love story! They were so cute together and even though they had minimal amount of scenes together, their scenes gave me butterflies to my stomach! Like every episode I’d watch, I hoped to see them together to see where their storyline would go! I really hope the writers do not ruin it in the second season because to me, that was the gem in this story.

The cast did an amazing job with acting as well, and music added more melodramatic feels to this drama (which I love).

Looking forward to watch the second season, and to see a very happy ending to my Peesang and Botklon ^^
