A psychological mystery thriller approached in a different way

Finally watched “The King of Pigs”. A phenomenal drama with a strong emotional connect.

TRIGGER WARNING - This drama involves Violence and Bullying. (18+)

Story:
A story of school students who encounter bullying at school. When they become adults, how the bullying had affected them and their life is the plot.

Pros:
A realistic concept executed in a perfect way. The insight into bullying and how it affects one’s behaviour throughout the life is shown in the best possible way. The drama has thrown light into mental health awareness. It shows how a childhood trauma affects one even in adulthood. Casting was perfect. The young as well as the old casting was perfect. Music is so-so. The whole story was thrilling and puts you at the edge of your seat.

Cons:
It is a 12 episode drama. But still I felt it was a bit dragging. Somewhere I lost the connect midway, though the story was interesting. The characterisation of the female lead was a bit weak. Chae Jung An could have been used in a better way, considering her excellent acting skills.

Overview:
A must watch psychological thriller. If you get triggered by violence or bullying, kindly avoid watching it. Also, it contains a lot of mature scenes, better to avoid if you are not of age! Overall, a great watch. The emotional and psychological touch is just bang on.

P.s : I hope that teachers and parents take bullying into serious consideration. I hope no one faces such bullying and violence. Bullying complaints by any child should not be taken lightly by teachers and parents.
