Korean Drama " Doctor Romantic Season Three " is the third part of the popular medical series. Following the same pattern as they did in the previous ones, it offers plenty of action packed and emotional cases, while focusing on the doctors and the personnel. In addition, the cast of the second season was back in full speed, with even those from the first season being added, which brought some nostalgic feelings forward. The performances, moreover, were all enjoyable and everyone handled their characters masterfully.
The plot was also entertaining, though the cases and the political intrigue were more interesting compared to the romance part of the story. Actually, the love stories could have been omitted, as they were added in awkward moments, like when the hospital was dealing with a crisis and had to treat dozens of patients at once.
So, overall, seven and a half out of ten.

Korean Drama " Celebrity " is a thriller makjang ish drama. The story is pretty intriguing at first, with masterfully handled pace and flashbacks, as the story is orchestrated in a way as to keep things interesting and the audience wanting more in order to solve the mystery.
However, after a strong start, the progress and development of the story got messy and lazy. The romance, moreover, was just too forced and could have been omitted. The twists were predictable as well and the characters annoying.
The cinematography was impressive though. Lush and glossy, with some darkness lurking underneath it.
The performances, finally, were enjoyable.
So, overall, five out of ten.

Korean Drama " Delivery Man " is a fantasy comedy with a touch of romance. The drama offers a variety of ghost stories that the main characters have to solve, which spices up the main plot, which, otherwise, isn't that original. Still, the drama does a good job of blending everything smoothly, even the romance. The latter was okay, kind of predictable, but the couple had chemistry and there were some cute moments between them.
The performances, in addition, were all enjoyable, as everyone in the cast handled their characters nicely.
So, overall, eight out of ten, mainly because of those ghost stories.

Japanese Movie " Sakura " is a family drama. The one thing it has it going for it is the performances. All the actors and actresses of the cast did a great job, but the performances especially by main leads were exeptional.
The mood of the drama was spot on as well, with clean shots and nude light.
The pace, however, was a bit off and the progress of the events was clumsy. Thus, the story tended to focus more on some characters, especially the sister, and left out other, like the narrator.
So, overall, five out of ten.

Not Good Enough
Korean Drama " Dear. M " is a Global Playlist drama, in the series of the Love Playlist. However, it is nothing like the previous ones. The main problem with it is that it's boring and predictable. Pretty much nothing happens, with the characters simply going through their college life, with some ups and downs in their romantic lives. The big mystery with the mapple posts, often being forgotten when it didn't serve anything to the plot, was not interesting to keep things entertaining and its final conclusion was nothing to get excited about.
Probably the only thing that was interesting was the rivalry between the two ex classmates, but that's about it. No surprises when it came to the romance, some half baked plots, and a few unlikable characters. Especially the main lead was too much of a plain jane acting like a child all the time.
The performances, moreover, were decent.
So, overall, three out of ten.

Korean Drama " Ultimate Weapon Alice " is a noir action drama. The series creates the right atmosphere, dark and intriguing, just like a spy movie. It keeps that noir atmosphere right till the very ending.
The start is also pretty intense, as the mystery of each character slowly unravels, with some flashbacks here and there. There is also a comedy tone to the story.
On the other hand, the drama is to short. Thus, the story is rushed and the relationships between the characters aren't that smoothly developed and matured.
The performances were pretty great though.
So, overall, six out of ten.

Korean Drama "The Business Proposal" has definitely an old Korean drama feel to it. The romance is light and fluffy, there are enough funny moments between the couple, there is no love triangle, rather, a cute second couple, and there are plenty of trops that were enjoyable to watch. The leading actress, in addition, does a great job with her character and she is another reason to watch this drama for her delightful performance. The rest of the cast gives nice performances as well, but not as energetic as hers. The colors and the whole atmosphere of the drama are bright and light as well.
Unfortunately, the series goes downhill towards the ending. The trops feel more and more stale and the story gets boring, to the point when the second couple was probably the only reason to keep watching.
So, overall, 5 out of 10, as the first half was fun, but the second part not so much.

Korean Drama "The Moment the Heart Shines" is a school drama with a social media twist. The drama starts strongly, with a critical view on the social media fever and how it constructs human relationships nowadays. The drama does a great job when it comes to that aspect of the story, especially in the way they handled the friendships.
However, the drama started getting predictable halfway through. The love triangle was predictable and cheesy, and left the second couple half baked as a result. The romance was cliche as well. Thus, the drama got just like all those other school romance dramas out there and lost its unique charm.
Finally, the performances were pretty enjoyable by everyone in the cast.
So, overall, 5 out of 10.

Korean Drama "Happiness" is a dystopian drama that feels, nevertheless, close to home. The drama doesn't focus too much on the horror aspect, with the zombie-like disease, that could have been easily overused with loads of gory scenes and bloodbath.Rather, the drama opted for a more character-centric story, with the focus being maintained on the neighbors and their dynamics when a crisis hits home. The addition of the corporation mystery, along with the family drama, were all a nice touch that added more twists to the main plot.
However, the drama missed making the conclusion clear, or more dramatic. Everything was actually too conveniently solved when everyone was straggling to come to a conclusion all throughout the drama. Also, the drama felt like it was missing something, like the story needed something more to leave a bigger impact.
Nonetheless, the performances were great and aided the entertainment value of the drama a lot. The CGI were also well made.
So, overall, 6.5 out of 10.

Korean Drama " Love Scene Number " has a pretty bold story and doesn't shy off from more explicit topics. The drama is divided into four stories, each of them dealing with the theme of love and relationships the way modern day women deal with. The love stories are realistic and dramatic to the slice of life level, keeping their authenticity and cold realistic view on the subjects. That is not to say that they weren't different from each other. Actually, the only thing that connected them was the mysterious woman that appeared somehow in each story.
The performances, moreover, were all great from everyone in the cast and the cinematography was simple but suited the stories well.
So, overall, 8 out of 10.

Cafe Midnight Season 3: The Curious Stalker

Good Enough
Cafe Midnight Season 3: The curious Stalker had an interesting story to present. The main points that get the viewer confused at times are the flashbacks and the scenes that are just the fears of the main character that are presented as part of the present storyline. Also, one needs to get a grasp on the concept of the series, that is the "time manipulation" theme.Other than that, the atmosphere of the drama was magical and the main story was sweet. The mother-son relationship was interesting, although the mother's sickness could have been better explained. Also, the ending was not as good as the rest of the story, as it felt sudden and rushed.
The romance was cute though. The friendship was sweet and refreshing too. The leading lady did a great job with her character and she nailed those dancing scenes. The rest of the performances were okay.
So, overall, six out of ten.

" Single and Ready to Mingle " was a light and fun watch. The story is fluffy and had the right feel good vibes to make it an easy web drama to watch in an afternoon. The actors and actresses, especially the idols, did a great job with their characters and had chemistry with each other, creating the right relationship dynamics from the start, something that helped the drama a lot, considering that the length of it is just eight episodes. As for the story, besides being light and cute, simply put, it's predictable but enjoyable.
So, overall, seven out of ten for this short web drama.

The story is pretty intriguing, although, it would have been nice if they had explained the whole number thing a little further. But, still, the romance had a nice pace and somehow we got to know each character, even though the length of the movie is a bit short. Still, the performances were really good from all the actors and actresses of the cast. And, the couple especially, had chemistry, which helped a lot with the love story. Now, for the ending, it was more 'realistic', even though I personally would have loved if the characters had fought against their destiny and didn't give in to it.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

For web drama standards, there are many good ones out there who had raised the bar too high. And sloppy editing along with messy presentations of the story are now not easily ignored or pushed under the rag. That said, the drama had a cute story, and they added some twists here and there with the appearance of the two other girls. However, some of the episodes felt random. The story needed some time to present the characters better so that the audience could understand them. However, we only got a half baked romance with a random ending. The performances, somehow, were all great though and all the actors and actresses were enjoyable.
So, overall, five out of ten.

The story probably was presented in a too-short length, and thus, it needed more time to be developed, to get to know the characters, and for the romance to be better paced and have a deeper intensity. Actually, the romance was so quick and sudden, that it was difficult to get into to it, though the drama towards the ending was a nice touch.
The performances, on the contrary, were great from everyone in the cast, and, especially, the two leads.
So, overall, four out of ten.
