Here we have the typical rich male lead with psychological trauma and the somewhat poor female lead that helps him get better. For me it was definitely lacking. Series is titled “about is love” but there was nothing lovely about it. There was no romance, no actual relationships existed. There was three potential couples and no one actually got together until the last 3 or 4 episodes.

Positives: the male lead is not so mean, family dynamic is different, the friendships were awesome.

Negatives: cliche, poor closure, chemistry is off, FL was a college student that seemed very childlike when dealing with issues (ex: running off when someone she likes, likes someone else. Add this with the other poor decision making skills).
. And my most hated thing: evil/hateful person for 27 of 30 episodes forgiven in 5 seconds without consequences. Unanswered issues.

It’s not awful but not great. I can’t recommend this as a romantic series. If you prefer strong FL, I will say she has some attributes but not enough to count. If you want a smart and mature FL you won’t like it. Like I said her personality seems extremely childlike. Male lead was arrogant, but redeemable. He was mature.

The title of the series absolutely matches the series itself “cruel palace.” I would say that this series like many other historical dramas that surround the palace life such as emperors and all of his concubines is about the same. The only significant difference that I saw in this is that the logic of our female lead was off. What I mean by that is her hate really didn’t make sense. Usually with the dramas like this there was some serious things that happened to the character and you know why and somewhat understand why they became evil but with this one it seem that they took a small incident and made her vengeful. In truth I couldn’t power through all of the episodes. I watched what I feel was a significant amount and then I skip to the end. Bottom line or female lead wasn’t the craziest of a concubine that I’ve seen but she was definitely one that did some of the strangest things I’ve seen. I assume that the ending was fitting for most especially if you didn’t like the female lead.

If you’re looking for historical romance I would not suggest this one but if you’re into historical dramas and I do mean dramas lot plotting, murdering and scheming you may like this one. No fairy tale ending, no redemption (I.e bad guy turns good) nope.

I have no idea what a series has such a low rating. It is so worth the watch. I’ve watched several series that have revolved around war time and family but I think this is by far the best one. It was absolutely amazing. The chemistry among the leads as well as the chemistry among the supporting cast was absolutely amazing. There were so many darn heartfelt moments in the series it is impossible not to cry while watching this series. Although it is revolves around the war it also shows a great deal of love, loyalty, hardship, family and unity. This show absolutely has it all. I can honestly say there were very few things that I did not like about the series but those were few and far. The series follows so many cast members but still manages to stick to the story line and give the lead their time.
I wanted to point that out because it covers the female and her family and those individuals that are involved with her family. The writers did an amazing job with the roles of the supporting cast and chemistry among them all. I just find it absolutely amazing that everyone in the series had great chemistry in terms of relationships either family or romantic in nature. The old family feud and commitment to unity are revealed here as well. This is not just about war and fighting it is about so much more. I will say that what I took away from this was an individuals strength during hardship and also their ability to overcome hardships.

This was such a peculiar series. The synopsis is not wrong. I initially thought that it would somewhat different and be a bit more interesting than what I say but I really wasn’t. Watching it play out with interesting though. I must admit I found it somewhat strange but I can absolutely understand the thoughts and feelings of the leads. Unappreciated and alone she finds someone and takes him in. She literally treats him as a pet, not joking. What I found interesting about this behavior was that she was not truly treating him as an animal but as a companion. I felt that it was somewhat heartfelt because there are so many people who rely on their pets as companions or that person that welcomes them home. It really shows the need for relationships and the support and encouragement you get from them. Weird display but still very symbolic.

This series definitely keeps to the same vibe as season one. Although this seems to be another universe it really doesn’t give off the vibe of being another universe or anything of that nature. The vibe that I got was one in which someone has a memory of someone or a past life. Although it does not go into the whole past life thing, what you see is an individual that is somewhat drawn to Someone as if they’ve had a history together already but don’t really know why.

What did not change about this series is that its still the male lead that is in pursuit. Our female lead maintains her resistant roll for many many episodes but it gets better. I honestly like this ending a lot better and I also found this one to have a lot more humor in it than the first one.

Just watched on Netflix. It wasn’t as annoying as some Thai dramas I’ve seen. I was however irritated with the FL seemingly going back and forth with her emotions. I did however enjoy the fact that she was not an emotional train wreck and that she was dedicated to being the best she could be in learn everything that he could. That said this one apart from so many dramas that I’ve seen from this country.
Series revolves around a female that leaves home and discovers a love of cooking. It also surrounds her love interest and how she chooses. Overall not bad, a pretty decent ending, but I felt a bit robbed. There’s no major drama, crazy ex girlfriend or psychotic people.

This is not a a romantic comedy nor is a a melancholy series. This was pure genius. It was sweet, beautiful and so good. The writing was amazing. This has to be one of the most heart felt k-drama's. The actors were amazing. They will make you laugh and cry. I loved this series. The real life situations that many experience is truly revealed. Definitely some tear jerking moments. The writers will make you fall in love with the characters. Not the typical perky k-drama but definitely upbeat and heartfelt. No loose ends. Everything came together nicely. Words can’t express my feelings right now, the series started off strong and it has so much depth in it that you could really get into the character. I must admit that the female lead was a bit naïve and at times her personality was supremely annoying but her genuineness grew on me. I absolutely love the storyline of childhood Friends growing up together and later discovering the hidden feelings that each of them have. I really love how the storyline developed. The leads had an amazing relationship and their chemistry as friends or siblings was absolutely hilarious and so real. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a good series to watch. What I didn’t like about the series was the ending. Although I understand how the writers got up to that moment I personally feel like after all of those episodes and all that buildup they ended it depressingly. I deeply regret watching the final episode. I wish I could’ve just made up my own ending. It had one of those endings that left you wondering whether or not things eventually happened or did not. I will tell you that you will finish the series with as much regret as the cast had. I do not recommend this for any hopeless romantic because this will melt your heart but then leave you really angry at the end. Stay away hopeless romantic.

I watch the series twice and I honestly felt like I was watching it for the first time the second time. ????????????It was so intense and heartfelt that you could not help watching. There was honestly only one character in the entire series that you did not like. Hopeless romantic this is your home.
When a professor meets an actress for business things don’t go as planned. This was cute, funny and soo sweet. I Highly recommend this. You will laugh, cry and at times sit on the edge of your seat because you’re not sure what will happen. There’s a little action in it as well but not too much but the things are so engaging that you really cannot get bored at all.

The series was overall pretty good. It starts out funny and it ends funny as well. It was cute Innoway although the relationship revolves around highschoolers eventually heading off to college it was clean and cute. It made me laugh so many times. I really like the character development. You were able to really see the character somewhat mature over time and grow in their relationship. I loved the dad he was rough but genuine and sincere and everything he did. I enjoyed almost the entire series. I like the final episode however I did not like the three episodes leading up to it because there was an issue that took place and it was the routine self sacrificing and ate some wet role in the pleasantness and functioning dynamic of the series for me. Although it wrapped up really well I felt like they could have maintain the growth and the consistency all the way through and it would’ve just made it perfect. I would recommend this Siri say anyone that’s looking for a good laugh and just looking to see how you mature in a relationship. Give me my time back

I should have known from episode 1 that this series was not for me. I love fairy tales, happily ever afters, empowering, concrete endings and etc but I can also enjoy a decent bitter sweet series but this one was one of the worst experiences for me in the supposed romantic genre. In all fairness, just because the word love is in the title should not grant automatic permission to be placed in the romance genre. Whew!!! This was a depressing toxic mess.

We have a male and female lead who clearly like each other but they never get together. Why? The FL got issues…….
Just because she’s calm and quiet doesn’t redeem her at all.

ML like female lead, very evident. She goes through great lengths to push him away, only to slightly give hope again. So what you’ll view is a man in love with a woman getting disregarded, then given hope, then being hurt and pushed away. No dating. Just a guy falling in love with someone who got emotional issues. Never really getting accepted.

From the female standpoint she didn’t do anything g wrong by not being with a guy.

From a viewers standpoint we watch a sincere mans ‘ affections get trampled. The end.


There’s no healthy love here. There’s no dating. This is one of those experiences someone has gone through that you remember but it’s certainly not something you’d want to watch.

Perfect

There are so many reasons to watch this series. First, it was absolutely amazing. Secondly, the choreography in this series was so well done, even the average person that doesn’t pay attention will notice it all. It’s just that good. Third, the fight scenes are awesome. You will most certainly rewind it to watch it again, they are so detail and acted out perfectly. It almost flawless. 4 the, the plot was great. It was unique and interesting with a good pace. 5th, the music complimented the series so well. This is not an exaggeration. Just watch a fight she and see how the music adds to it almost like a hype man.
Although this is deemed a fantasy series it still manages to speak real truths.
Series revolves around an two powerful people who each have positions in their own territory. It shows how they meet, fall in love and the trials they face to stay together, survive and to protect each other. You’ll get sacrifice of the purest kind here.

What a like most is that it focuses on love, fate, loyalty, brotherhood and so much more. Being a romantic drama mixed with fantasy is also a plus.

I warn you all, this is not a romantic drama. This is a drama with tragedy and sad stuff with a hint of love. Don’t be fooled. It’s not bad but it’s not sweet either. This drama surrounds a man that went through hardship as a child and a women who suffered as well. You will also see a lot of their families and the role they played in how they are today. It’s a very sentimental series with a hint of warmth. This was not a great love story. It was so sad. Very few if any upbeat moments.
