a little gem
Honestly! I didn't expect much from such a short webdrama (just 8 episodes like what) but it's so good!!! The acting wasn't awkward at all, the chemistry between the main leads is INSANE I really felt like i was intruding in some of the scenes lmao and even the other actors, even tho they're rookies too, they did /so/ well (Song Ji Oh my beloved). One thing that really surprised me was the cinematography, the way they used colors and props to emphasize the feelings of the characters is such a nice touch, I'm such a nerd for these things so I appreciated it a lot! And also, the dialogues and the story felt very natural to me and as everyone is saying in the comments/reviews it didn't feel rushed at all which was my main worry when I saw that there were going to be just 8 episodes. Special mention to the OST, Romantic Devil is just so good lmao Let's hope we'll get a season 2 when Seo Ham returns!! Until then *kiss to the sky* for Choi Yu NaWas this review helpful to you?
sweet like the title
This mini drama is honestly a gem, from the story to the acting and the photography too everything is 10/10? I didnt read the comic and from the description I though it was more on the silly side but?? it's definitely not. The thing I liked the most is for sure the fact that even though we're talking about a romance drama, even if you're younger you can really relate to the struggles of Nozue as an adult, i loveee when in dramas they're like "even if you're not a teen anymore, it's not too late for trying new things, love too" because life nowadays is always so rushed, it's easy to feel like our protagonist. And then Togawa! I love him, such a sweet and caring guy (kind of unhinged too, god bless) the scene on episode 4 broke me, kudos to the actor?? Their conversations are so natural (which is a thing I said in my semantic error review too lmao) and? I don't know, I think if you like food as a form of comfort tm and some great life lessons + the sweetest couple you should definitely start this ♡ ??season two, maybe? Was this review helpful to you?

the first episode is a scam
I think the huge mistake the writers did was writing such a charismatic and realistic SL but, most importantly, that first episode. Han Jipyung has basically the backstory of what looks like an amazing ML and then boom! just kidding! he's just here to suffer! I really do think that first episode set Nam Do san up because? of course the audience would love the SL more after a premise like that?? Also his relationship with the granma is basically the best thing ever. The other problem I had with this kdrama is that there's a lot of weird af things that irl would have been a red flag or like ? Not Good and the writers just said yeah, whatever! like the fact that the ML is obsessed with a math test he cheated on when he was like. 13. or ??? the anger issues he has?? HELLO?? the FL too, she's cute and I think in the last episodes she finally grew out as a person but the fact that most of her story is centered about the two boys and jealousy... girl, that's not healthy at ALL...
I really really wish they would have let the characters grow as adults by themselves (most of the time they act like big ass children) and focus less on the love triangle because it really feels like everyone is doing what they're doing just to impress the person they like.
The cinematography and the OST are fire tho.

the LONG ballad fr
If you like a cdrama that is mainly focused on politics this is for you! One of the things that I noticed the most is that the FL is written like how they usually write MLs, for better or for worse which makes sense for the story they wanted to tell. She's a soldier and a war strategist more than a princess. The thing that left me disappointed tho is that it's really slow in some episodes, it tends to drag some of the sad moments a little too much expecially if it's about the secondary characters rip. like the friends of the main characters are always into some tragic stuff it gets a little boring lmaoStill, it was fun and I really liked how they showed the diversity of the people living in the same country but with different backgrounds and cultures. Hao Du my beloved.

too much stuff going on
I didn't /hate/ this drama but i think there was too much going on, really. The fantasy stuff wasn't explained well which was a bummer... the ? aliens ? you see in episode one? well that's it! But the thing I didn't like the most is that the plot went on because of really dumb stuff which most of the time didn't really make sense??
Also, side note, but I really didn't get why they showed so many times scenes of domestic violence with *REDACTED*, most of the time always the same one replayed over and over... I don't think that was really necessary.
What I liked about this drama is the acting. I think that Park Boyoung did a fantastic job and I can't believe we're supposed to believe she is ""ugly"" or not pretty like... have you seen her.... True Beauty who... anyways! Her character is kind of annoying, especially at the beginning but I think in a way that's her charm lmao.
The main couple is cute even tho I'm not a big fan of the "I pinned after you for x years to the point I looked kind of obsessed" but I think they played it well in the late episodes.
A special mention to Kwoon Soohyun, he was crazy good! I really didn't recognise him from Record of Youth like whaaat... acting... wow... hope to see more of him, hopefully with a lead role.
In conclusion the main plot is really messy and the show is carried by the amazing cast, I think it's fun if you watch it with friends so you can laugh about the plot holes together + the funny scenes are actually really funny.

about hope and giving all your heart
Truly an underrated gem, I was very worried when I saw so many skeptical comments on here but two of my favorite k-actors acts in this so I /had/ to give it a try and oh boy I'm so glad I did!If you loved Run On and Gaus Electronics like me, this is the perfect slice of life/comedy drama. At first we're introduced to the main cast and you may think that it will only follow the story of On Maeun but what the writers actually decided to make is a beautiful ensemble cast. Really, every single character even if it's just a support cast has his moment and his story. Some of them will make you think, some of them will make you cry. The relationship between the PDs and their artists are so sweet.
One of the surprises of this cast was certainly Shin Dae Ryuk/Kim Dohoon, a beautiful and complicated character, the acting was honestly sooo good. I already saw him in Law Cafè and although I loved his character on it too, wow! kudos, really.
Kim Sejeong confirms herself as one of my favorite actress, she's such a cutie in this one but /never/ cringy. And when there are serious moments you can see her talent, loved her little monologues. Nam Yoonsun is sooo incredible too, loved his story and really didn't see /that/ coming, I think his chatacter is one of my favorite in kdrama history, just a silly dude who tries his best, skeptical at first (I think his chatacter is the one that most of the audience can relate to) but then he can't help to be dragged by the hurricane that On Maeun is. Also DIMPLES.
Honestly I could gush about every single cast but anyways. A beautiful drama, is it maybe too optimistic? Yeah, maybe, but honestly I loved that. I think we need more stories in which people without a single hope left, people who fought for their dreams just to see them crushed, people who don't know what their future holds for them, see that sometimes, just sometimes! working hard and putting your heart (your entire heart, ha!) pays off. Protecting hope etc. etc. A love story to webtoons and to the people who work hard in the shadows.

the perfect slice of life drama
Oh boy where do I begin... I loved everything about this drama, so much that I'm writing thing months after I finished watching it...I really think it has everything; an amazing cast, visually pleasing scenes, dialogues that really stick with you and awesome characters. Also! the OST by LUCY really is a masterpiece... god bless them.
Anyways, it's a tv show carried by the dialogues and if you don't like slow paced dramas that's not the series for you lmao but for me, that was what fascinated me the most... I think if I had to compare it to something, it reminds me of a Studio Ghibli movie, dealing with serious stuff but in a soft and hopeful way.
The writing is /fantastic/ and I think that they really wrote it like it was a long movie (ironically, movies are a big part of the plot but anyways), even the little details have a meaning with made my little obsessed brain really happy. The characters really are sweethearts... if you love the found family trope this is for you!!! Also! no love triangle god bless... and even though there's miscommunication at the beginning, the main couple has one of the healthiest relationships I have ever seen in a tv show... incredibile methinks.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a heart-warming drama but that deals with serious stuff too and the struggles of being an adult, that's what you're looking for!
