Been watching Kdramas since 2012. The first ever Kdrama that I completed was the fantasy melodrama 49 Days. Got hooked ever since. There was no turning back for me at that point.

First onscreen couple that I obsessed over that same year was the Matsumoto Jun/Inoue Mao tandem in the iconic Hana Yori Dango franchise. Rewatched that version of BOF more times than I would like to admit. Their chemistry was just insane and the acting by Matsumoto Jun was off the charts. 

I've seen countless Asian dramas thereafter.

Although I don't have any preferred genre, I'm pretty finicky when it comes to choosing which Kdramas to watch. Either the script needs to be smartly written or the drama generously imparts those golden nuggets of wisdom, life lessons and values for me to love it. The latter is especially a must for me to consider it a gem. Thus, these are what I consider jewels in Kdramaland (and undeniably my Top 2 Best Kdramas):

TOMORROW (2022)

18 AGAIN (2020)

*Seriously I consider them masterpieces because they are heartwrenching yet healing in their own ways.

Dramas I dislike? I clearly stay away from tragic sageuk dramas and anything pertaining to adultery of married people as its main plot.

I am a sucker for a well-written story.
