Green flags everywhere, buzzing chemistry
My absolute favorite drama for 2023. The main couple had one of the best chemistry out of any drama I've seen over the years. The brother is awesome. I docked a 1 off the story just because I feel like I didn't care for the side characters at all, the main couple just carried it all the way through. It was a bit slow at the beginning as well, but keep watching and you'll be rewarded. OST is wonderful, a lot made it to my spotify playlist. Highly rewatchable and it will make you wish you had a green flag love like theirs and suffer a Hidden Love hangover after xDWas this review helpful to you?
Fabulous casting, but the storyline fell short.
I was captivated at the beginning. Then, like a lot of other K-dramas — it became too makjang-y and fell flat towards the end. I would say the acting carried such flawed storytelling all the way to the finish line. Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun are fantastic actors. The supporting cast does not disappoint as well. I'm still miffed at the wasted potential of the story, though. I think I felt totally disconnected from it by episode 13 and only continued watching because well, I was just 3 episodes away from the end. OST is great and hits you at the right moments. No rewatch value for me as I found the storyline too frustrating with a lot of elements that it could really have done without, especially in the last few episodes. Was this review helpful to you?

Easily one of my favorites
I've watched K-Drama consistently as far back as Full House (with Rain and Song Hye Kyo) - I have to say, Lovely Runner has become one of my absolute favorites. If you're the type of watcher that likes to overanalyze plots, is extremely bothered by 'plotholes' that arise because of the time slip concept — forgetting that time travel is preposterous to begin with — and the type that needs a back story for every single character that appears, including the villain (how many psychopaths are just what they are because they are? Answer: a lot), then some aspects of the drama will bother you.
I and a lot of others, found it refreshing, extremely charming, and difficult to part with the characters, just because they have grown so much on us, and we rooted so much for Sol and Sunjae's love to come true. I never felt such a satisfying end to a K-drama I loved all throughout years of watching as I did with this one. I have also never had such bad post-drama depression lol. I literally can't watch anything else even 2 weeks after it's ended because I'm so hungover on Lovely Runner.
Now, there are a lot of recently posted negative reviews for the drama. While I can get it may not be everyone's cup of tea — if you're reading this review, go give it a try anyway. Don't let reviews dictate what you might feel about a drama. After all, at the end of the day, it's all about personal preference.
