Kdramas are disappointing me…
Maybe I’m getting older, but for me, kdramas are slowly getting more and more unwatchable. As someone who was once an avid of korean dramas, I wanted to prove myself wrong— I wanted to watch a kdrama that was fresh and was different from kdramas that I have been watching recently and maybe I’m expecting too much from this series but it definitely disappointed me.The premise might have been somewhat new and relatively unique compared to recent kdramas, but they taint it with overused, unnecessary, and annoying cliches. The others were bearable but a love triangle? The only thing that this love triangle doing is cheapening the rekindling of the two main characters’ romance — I don’t see it as him realizing he loves her, but rather him just being possessive (which does not equate to love).
Everything is also all over the place. As much as the actors are trying to sell it, I just don’t understand why they loved and married each other in the first place, maybe we’ll see more of their relationship as we go, but so far, I also want them to just divorce.
anyways I really don’t want to dwell on this since I have only watched the first 2 eps, maybe it’ll get better later on who knows?
