the story ages well through the episodes
I didn't really want to continue after the first episode but a few days later I was bored and decided to give it a go. it's not bad if you want to watch a drama that's not really serious plus has got good comic moments between the leads. the spells and curses genre kinda doesn't fit me so I skip over those scenes but otherwise not bad. the FL's co-workers are mad annoying I try my best not to yell when they appear lol. sometimes jo bo ah's cutesy tone of talking also gets too much.rowoon's doing a good job so far. I'm waiting to know more of Jang Shin Yu and Lee Hong Jo's past life story.
some scenes like them going on a vacation when they barely know e/o and her randomly letting him into her house at the beginning don't seem believable; she trusts him too much for being a stranger lol.
edit: 10 eps in, the story keeps getting better every episode. definitely worth a try for some good comic relief. though I'm kinda tired of the SFL.
to summerise, if you're looking for some light plotted drama with some nice comedy you can watch it in between a heavy drama for a change. if you feel like, you can skip over some scenes (as you'll still understand the story) instead of dropping it!

well balanced show. definitely worth watching.
when i saw the description and the trailer i quickly jumped onto the 1st episode and i was so engrossed into it that I didn't even realise i finished watching 2 episodes already.the storyline is going good so far. the actors are doing a great job, each of them suit their roles soo well esp the husband and mother-in-law, expressions on point. the writers are doing so well making a good balance between comedy, tragedy and the end of episode cliffhangers. THE COMIC TIMING IS ??. there are few scenes i re-watched over 5 times cuz they're just that funny.
if you're looking for a fun show with a good storyline, please DO WATCH. it's not just a fun show either every episode has small messages teaching us how much respect a mother and housewife deserves but is much neglected by society becuz "that's what women are born for" motto which is going on for too long.
"listen to everyone but at the end do what your heart tells you to!!” i really love have FL doesn't take in anyone's sh*t and knows her worth. she wants to prove that you can start your career at 50 or at 20 it's the skill and determination that matters.
TOTALLY WORTH WATCHING!!!

dragged for too long.
liked the idea (ik the story is from a webtoon) demon hunting, counters with unique powers according to their personalities. it started off well and was heading to a good buildup of events but then it went downhill around ep 9. tbvh the entire show could've been winded up by 8-10 eps. a lot of eps in the middle felt like fillers and i felt like i was watching the same thing again and again. the entire setup felt like smtn new at the beginning but towards the middle it felt like i was watching just another weak PPL fighting rich powerful corrupt PPL and getting pushed till the last ep like a Tom & Jerry ep. had great potential but not pushed towards the right direction. Was this review helpful to you?
OVERRATED, DISTURBING & A BIG WASTE OF TIME
IDK what people actually like so much in this show but it definitely doesnt deserve more than 5. The entire show just normalises r@pe and toxic behaviour. They used someones trauma to excuse a lot of stuff which would never be justified if even hes had bad experiences before. Their entire relationship is pure toxic and it doesnt really get better. Some decisions that they take are taken so hastily and never really explained later. Idek why i finished this show (maybe cuz i thought it'll get better later which never really happened) but do know that i was annoyed throught watching this show.I recommend u to not waste your time on this. There are wayyy better BLs out there. This had no story, hardly justified chemistry and at the end leaves u feeling and asking why did u even watch this.

THIS IS WHAT THE BL INDUSTRY NEEDS
i usually don't leave reviews under bl dramas cuz there's nothing much to write abt but this drama is different. firstly their chemistry is off the charts. they can act without dialogues and the message is conveyed. cinematography, dialogues just– the standard.the music suits the vibe of the drama so well. you can connect with the characters, even the friends esp jihyun's don't feel like a filler role but like a character who has some presence.
has been a long time since a bl matched the standards of ITSAY & TMS and prolly made new standards. overall well done, well made drama!!!
PS I WENT THRU 8 STAGES OF GRIEF WATCHING THIS BUT IT WAS WORTH IT ??

goofy but you have to keep in mind which era it is from :)
I'm having a lot of fun watching this chaos lol. i get the hype everyone gives it lol. but i wouldn't hype it up as much.i think a lot of these reviews had an issue with the show because of its messy storyline and i respect their opinion. but i think we also should keep in mind that it's a 2009 high school rom-com and it fits well for that period tbvh.
but what I did have a problem with was the acting especially Koo HyeSun she overdid her character's tackiness quite a few times, the best she did was crying but the rest didn't really feel natural at all.
i really liked jandi and jihoon "a friend in need is a friend indeed" dynamic so far. and well jandi and junpyo breaking off for the smallest reasons possible makes me lol cuz yes that's how high schoolers date lmao. but the second couple, Yijung and Gaeul, really got me rooting for them.
the president (i don't like calling her his mother she's not worth it) reminds me of all the itv vamps from the '00s and '10s.
i was first skeptical abt watching it seeing it's length (25 eps) but I'm 13 eps in and it's not that bad. lol the first few episodes i had to skip a LOT of scenes and i still skip a few cuz they're cringe.
I'd rewatch it few months after I've completed it but not as a whole but maybe a few episodes here and there.

threading on the fine line between heros and villains.
story: the first half of the story was really messy tbvh. i still haven't figured out what importance did the reporter's role had seeing the ml says "i can't do this without u". the 2nd half however was comparatively good. there were a lot of “how's” tho, like how'd the bombs get where they did cuz he was working alone (ik he has an 170 IQ but still) why sound-triggered bombs? etc etc. action scenes were okay-ish could've been better. overall story isn't that astonishing but more emotional due to the brothers. i know it's weird but if lives weren't cost, if sympathize with the villain too.acting: very well performed by the actors esp LJS & CEW. you can feel their pain, LJS’ desperation, anger and agony thru the screen. a lot of people say eunwoo cannot act but I'd say he acts really really well he's just stereotyped into the "idols cannot be good actors" belief, he even proves his versatility in this one. and Lee Jongsuk as a villain is *chefs kiss*. their roles really carried.
music: not too special, infact not even noticeable till the ending credits.
rewatch: I'd mostly not rewatch, if i did I'd directly skip to the 2nd half.
overall: nothing special, carried by the actors I'd leave it halfway if it wasn't for them.

what a waste of what could've been a great drama
like a lot of other people I started watching this for the leads Seo Inguk and Park Boyoung and these two didn't disappoint. they did deliver a great performance for the poor script of the show. I'd give this a 5/10 or less if it wasn't for them.the second leads story was neither interesting nor did it add anything to the story but just felt like a filler instead. they tried to make it a "omg look at the secondary leads 3 good looking people in a love triangle" but failed badly. the other side characters were also pretty meaning less.
I watched Lee Soohyuk in Tomorrow and his stoic acting fit his character there but here his acting made his character even less interesting here, to me he's just one more of those actors that are there cuz they're good looking and draw attention but can't really act sorry.
Seo Inguk's character had so much potential he was the stone cold supernatural male lead that brought destruction with everything he did, but that lasted only one episode. most of the show you couldn't even see doom causing doom the only thing he did was teleport and time travel.
I watched this solely to see doom falling in love with a terminally ill cancer patient but I never really got to see him falling in love. one day he'd threaten her and they'd fight and the next day they say they're in love like it was mood swings every 30 mins and we never got to see their characters mold into each other, get that character development (esp cold hearted doom).
the character development of doom was something I really wanted to see but never did it was like he was a completely new person suddenly and no gradual change and it was disappointing tbh.
the god (deity) felt more like a villain or her character was just poorly made. none of her actions made any sense like what was she even trying to do??
also the plot felt very forced to bring out a love story like the FL suddenly deciding that she had to fall in love with the ML to survive... where did she get that from? and then suddenly deciding to live together but were technically living in two separate houses.
the dialogues were THE WORST. they were so corny and so poorly written you could even tell some were forced into the script just for some tears (they didn't fit in naturally). only kept watching this for Seo Inguk and Park Boyoung's good acting which really carried the entire show. though I found ep 9 & 10 pretty interesting cuz these two again carried.
I didn't really like the music, maybe it's just my personal taste but I feel like it had OSTs that I could swear I heard in another drama and were nothing special either.
OVERALL: if you're interested in a fantasy drama with a good plot and well written and interesting characters this is absolutely not for you. but if you wish to see it just for the leads' chemistry with each other, go ahead and watch it! though I can guarantee you that you can skip every other scene except theirs and you'll be missing nothing at all cuz rest of it is just a filler.

BRILLIANT and worth watching
i originally wasn't going to give it a try thinking it'd be the same old cliche romance nothing new. BUT i saw the first ep and was hooked. i binge watched the rest of the eps right after.i haven't read the webtoon so i don't know how similar or different the storyline is from it. but I'm loving it very much.
the male lead (tae mu): i first expected him to be the same old cold hearted CEO who takes 3456654 years to accept he's a human and could feel. BUT tae mu was not at all like that, he didn't take much time to realise and accept he had feelings for Ha-ri. he even is working hard to build up a relationship with her.
the female lead (shin Ha-ri): her struggle with keeping up with two identities and doing her friend a favour as always was really fun to watch. really love her dynamic with her bff. her crush on the chef was sad but she's finally got someone that is willing to put effort into forming a relationship with her.
the 2nd lead couple's story also has me hooked cuz they were slow and now they're racing lmao but i love their chemistry nonetheless.
the lead couple also has great chemistry. doesn't feel forced or overacting.
the comic timing is superb. it's written so well and the actors have acted so well that u can feel the 2nd hand embarassment played by them in some scenes in your bones lol.
overall i had a great time watching it so far and I'm looking forward to upcoming episodes. YOU SHOULD DEFINATELY GIVE IT A TRY YOU WON'T REGRET 1 BIT.
UPDATE: the last ep aired today and i still don't regret watching a single minute of this story! no over the top drama just sweet, full of love and extremely funny. gonna give kudos to the actors, director and writers. ROM COM LOVERS THIS ONES FOR YOU GUYS TO BINGE WATCH TRUST ME

sometimes ‘sane’ people are the actual monsters.
this is not your average “fighting monsters” drama, infact it's actually not about it at all. at first i was vary about watching this thinking it'd be just another zombie apocalypse with no explanation as to why it began or how it'll end but still decided to give it a try.IT IS DIFFERENT. when i started watching it all of my concerns were proven false. and this is NOT a zombie apocalypse drama too btw. it's about how even with sick people around, people with a healthy body prove to be more dangerous. the show had all the different kind of people you do meet atleast once in your life as characters, when u watch some characters and their decisions, you feel like asking yourself “what would I have done in this situation?”
there are some very well shot action scenes and touching emotional scenes that do make you want to want to change their situations only hoping for the better.
every single episode was like a well fit puzzle piece and as the drama progresses the characters’ real faces also start showing up. like i said in the beginning, this drama is all about “are sane people any better than the monsters?”
unlike other apocalypse/pandemic dramas where you're never really told how things began or how it is ever going to be stopped, happiness had answers for EACH AND EVERYTHING. when the drama is done it'll not leave you wondering about anything because everything is cleared in there.
the main duo's chemistry is soo good, whether it be action scenes, emotional scenes, scenes where they fight for each other and for what's right, their characters always match up with each other's chemistry. even the little girl showed more maturity than some “aDuLtS” showing it's not always age proving how mature one is.
overall, i did not regret watching this at all and i will rewatch it in a few months because it's just THAT GOOD. edit : did re-watch it haha.
