Phew...

I was afraid it would start sucking after the move to 2012, but this is so well done that it still got my attention.

I love the similarities between the parents' and their kids' relationships, and how they are similar yet different since they are using a more modern way

.

-The parents had similar shy personalities and their kids have similar feisty personalities.

-The way they both "find" items that belong to the females and they both read them and get to know a little about them.

-His dad painted portraits of her mom while his son takes pictures of her daughter.

The transition was well done. And his love gaze, so cute! I hope they keep it up.

YAY fo Tae Joo!!!

I am so excited that Sun Woo is going to get all the help he needs to become a stronger person to go after his enemies!!! I feel bad for Ji Won, because she doesn't understand that Sun Woo is trying to protect her and he can't tell her about it because that would put her in danger too.

WTH is up with Soo Mi...I like her less than I do Jang II and his dad. She is useless!!!

Borderline Boring

This episode was slow but still kept me watching. Nothing really interesting happened. I guess this episode was there to show us the growing bond btwn the main couple. Hoping something interesting happens in the next ep...

Did THAT happen?

I'm totally confused, did that scene mean they slept together? He had not shirt on... *sigh* I'll just have to wait and see if there's a baby bump or they at least say in some vague playful manner that they did.

And I did not like the way the secretary is acting, I do not like it one bit, especially after seeing the previous. Why on earth would he even tell that guy who was acting just a little bit like a lunatic- I have no idea how he didn't notice getting all agitated and stuff because he would accept a "gift" that apparently costs THAT much- that location? He should have been more alert, I mean he has worked with two kings, now three, as far as I know.

And omo, Lee Yoon Ji was so great, especially in that scene, I could feel her desperation.

lee yoon ji rocks

Lee Yoon Ji was seriously amazing in this episode, to the point where I was almost scared of her (ie when she started stabbing her own leg with that blank look in her eyes).

I really hope she gets a big role in the rest of the drama, since we had to wait so many episodes just for her to show up.

What a twist!

The twist at the end was really unexpected. I can't wait to see what happens next! I think Gae In might've been the cause of her mothers death though :(

Also, I DISLIKED how Chang Ryul becomes the bad guy again. In Hee is such a b*tch.

A romantic tragedy...

Wow! I have never had so mixed feelings before, this was the best episode, so far! Everything was so real, like they other say here, the King's last words make me cry. It' was so romantic and so tragic when they was sitting and talk about the future.

I'm glad that they died togheter with happiness.

I feel that, now is the real story beginns, how Jae Ha is gonna be a outstanding King like he's brother was and live up to he's last words!

Can't find words..

Wow, why do I only write reviews on this drama?

I'm so sold on this drama, it's driving me crazy. I tink still that this drama has everything. The main cast is awesome and I still love all the charcters.

I love how Micky Yoochun acts, he's brilliant like he's brother.:) he's character is so honest, when Park Ha ask's he's something, he answer directly.

In this drama, is getting us in more deeply in Park Ha situation and she's childhood, to find her mother and how Lee Kak, tries to help her.

On the same time park ha stepsister trying to get rid of Park Ha. Haha and Tae Mu is stil confusing.

Well I love this and I can't wait to ep.8 :)

I LOVED the ending of this episode

I absolutely LOVED how Chang Ryul rescued Gae In with no regards to his life. It shows that people are complicated beings and don't do things for just one reason. It shows that people aren't 100% good or 100% evil but a mixture of the two. I know i'll be rooting more for Chang Ryul to be happier in the future (but not end up with Gae In, because she's reserved...for me! j/k)

I didn't like how Gae In and Jin Ho fought in this episode though. Even if it was kind of lovingly, it was annoying. But im still giving this episode a 10, because well I LOVED the ending.

Soo Mi sympathy indicator is now at 0!

After episode 7, I did not think it could get better. We saw the beginnings of the relationship growth between Sun Woo and Ji Won. Who thought Soo Mi and Jang Il could get crazier?! The final minutes made me shout with joy because I knew Sun Woo's tortured moments were over!! Hallelujah for Papa Tae Joo!

Hitchcock reborn!

The music and the tone of this episode was so reminiscent to the Alfred Hitchcock theater period. The acting by both Uhn Tae Woong and Lee Jun Hyuk has been steadily getting better and better. We are now in Oscar worthy area. At this point, the tortured Jang Il character, you no longer have sympathy for, its gone out the door. The constant persecution of Sun Woo and going to make the revenge that much more deserved and especially sweeter. I cannot wait until next week! Thank God for Papa Tae Joo to the rescue soon

Tragedy

This is episode was the best one so far. So many things happened and like Rita mentioned, the way their deaths were shown made a bigger impression than any explosion would. Especially the moments leading to it since he talks to Jae Ha and Kang Ah and without knowing says goodbye.

Sun Woo Vs Jang Il : A blind man knows better to express his feelings than a normal one?

When I think that I've seen so many dramas with guys that admit they like a girl only after they treat her like trash, Sun Woo seems the most sincere man I've seen lately in a drama. I think the blindness makes him more open and it doesn't seem painfull anymore. Uhm Tae Woong acts blind like he has done it all his life.

The episode finished in a such interesting way.. Now I can't wait to see the next episode.

The actors made it for me.

First episodes are meant to be the most interesting aside from the climax. I was lost most of this episode and really couldn't figure out why they chose to mess with the order of events as such. Regardless of this, I did continue watching, mostly because of Kang Nam Gil, even though his character borders on "annoyingly loud" he's one of the best supporting characters I've ever watched, he practically spews crazy fatherly love. I was also encouraged by the very apparent clash of character between the main lead and her father. I think they did a great job with this episode, I was crying throughout, but managed to end on a laugh. Resuming me to looking like a hot mess in the middle of my living room. I liked it, mhm.

the one million dollar question

I need to know: did they sleep together, or did they SLEEP together?

Shallow, am I not? But as superficial as I can be, I can't get rid of the thought that there must be a reason why they decided to remain vague about the matter. I understand the whole scene - brilliantly acted by Ha Ji Won, I may add - aims at showing the new king finally giving in to grief. I loved it and was expecting it to happen in her arms: where else?

But why cut to the next morning? Not to distract us from the real problem at hand? To enhance our imagination? I hope not: mine is already running wild, picturing how that darn shirt of his was taken off...
