Watching this mess of a film was a depressingly big waste of time. Director Gordon Chan delivers a ham-fisted direction that leaves the viewer clueless as to what type of movie they are watching, resulting in parts that feel woefully out of place. At least the action scenes are good. Visually it is stunning and the acting and action are decent but the delivery was poor.

It’s as if he tried to jam every popular genre and idea into this film without a comprehensive road map to make it work. This film was poorly executed but there is enough in it that this COULD have been a truly awesome film if the director spent more time thinking and planning and less time grandstanding.

I'll admit it: I only watched this movie bc of Cha Tae Hyun. I usually don't watch this kind of movie (what with the disappointment that came with "Seabiscuit"), but, boy, was I pleasantly surprised!

Although the plot was kind of textbook (man and animal work together toward a common goal after undergoing a trauma), I loved the execution! (Sidenote: The cinematography was beautiful.)The character development was excellent: They take you into the mind and heart of Seung Ho and Wu Bak as well as the development of the relationship that helped them achieve their goals. It's like you experience their losses and it helps bring you into the film. The supporting characters like Ye Seung, the Samchons (Uncles) and even the baddies made this film all the more better.

This film had a great cast! I couldn't be happier to see Kim Soo Jung as Tae Hyun's little girl. I had seen her on Star Golden Bell, but I didn't know how she would do in a film. She was amazing ^^. Kim Sang Ho and the other samchons (uncles) were excellent in providing comic relief. [FUN FACT: Park Ha Sun was actually Tae Hyun's younger sister in another film (BA:BO) and in this film she was kind of a love interest.] Cha Tae Hyun was a delight to watch. I'm always amazed at how well he controls tears lol. He would tear up (as would I) then immediately start to laugh to try to conceal that he was crying (but I'd start bawling my eyes out). I hope I'm not the only one who does this... -_____-;

I heard the soundtrack before watching the movie. (Mainly, because the OST comes out before the movie has been subbed. Heh.) I liked it and Tae Hyun sings a song on the OST (Happiness)! ^^

For being the type of movie I shy away from, I would actually watch this again. And no doubt, I would probably cry just as much. (What is it with Tae Hyun's films making me cry?!)

If you like tear-jerkers, inspirational/soul-filled moments, heartwarming relationships, and some hilarious self-defense moves sprinkled here and there...
then you've picked the right movie! Watch it naooooo!

This movie...I can't even...what did I just watch?
Haha...warning: this movie is not to be taken seriously at all.

I was in the mood for a light movie with one of my favorite actors: Lee Bum Soo. I had no idea what I was setting myself up for. This movie is just utter silly-ness. I mean it in a good way, but it can go either way depending on whether this movie is your type.

The plot was just like it was written in the synopsis. It takes you through the various pathways an investigation can take you on. They just sprinkled a lot of frustratingly unfortunate events. Jeong Seung Pil's hopeless situation is worsened by the biased conclusions brought up by those investigating his absence. I was quite frustrated by the lack of common sense and reason. And at the end, somehow, they were able to piece everything together within minutes of what would have been a devastating calamity. Siiiighhh. It was a little annoying to me, but without this silly-ness, there wouldn't have been much of a point to the movie.

I had never seen Kim Gyu Ri outside of a serious, dramatic role, and I gotta say, it was refreshing. Although they didn't play the main roles, I loved watching Lee Han Wi, Lee Won Jong, and Kim Kwang Kyu (seriously, these men are in everything!). As much as I want to sing multiple praises about how well Lee Bum Soo did in this film, I'll keep it simple and say he was awesome.

The music didn't really catch my atttention, so I apologize for not saying much on this front.

Would I re-watch this? Maybe. It might be too frustrating for me to sit through it again, even though I did like it. -____-;

Conclusively, if you like skewed-clues, skeleton-revealing (the secret kind not literal), sudden-deductions, shady-looking-yet-essential-side-stories, and all-around silly-ness, then this might be the movie for you!

It has a great cast, great story line, and amazing soundtrack. The acting was good and so was the script. You sort of fall in love with the main characters and the chemistry they have with each other. At points it does get confusing if you don't pay attention (especially since there are so many characters to keep track of), but you'll eventually figure out what's going on. There were some pretty cool fight scenes. The cinematography was excellent. The movie is filled with cool shots. Most importantly, it was entertaining. Overall, a very good action movie.

The main reason to see this is because of the cinematography. There are some really amazing visuals and beautiful scenic shots. The movie has a ridiculous amount of fight scenes, clearly because its geared toward an audience filled with action movie fanatics. Some of the fight scenes were pretty cool while others were average. Again, it has to do with the cinematography and fighting choreography. The story line was simply, but good, mainly so the audience could focus on other aspects of the movie.

Story: I thought it was a really funny, cute story about a girl who wants to become popular to find love. The story line is never too too serious, and its something that would make me laugh and sigh and facepalm myself over and over again (in a good way of course).

Acting/Cast: I think the actors were well chosen. Given the fact that this movie was based on a manga, I could easily see how the actors portrayed more manga-esque acting as well.

Music: Okay, there were a lot of scenes with music, in my opinion. I found that some of the scenes with music were actually kind of funny (not going to spoil it for anyone), but, since this is my first review (YAY!) I don't think I can say more about it.

Rewatch Value: Oh yes! I think I would easily rewatch this movie, especially after I've watched some heavy, hardcore drama. Its a very light story that is great for cheering up, especially because it won't take too long to start laughing ;).

Overall: This was a nice movie. Like all movies, there are points to it that I myself don't quite get, but overall it was really cute! I liked the movie and would recommend it to those looking for something to cheer them up :)

Thank you!

What to say, I just watched the movie and find it difficult to breathe, that's how much i cried.

(My review may not be 100% accurate due to the fact that I've already seen the drama version which may change my view point fore which I may be prejudiced)

Reviewing this movie is rather difficult, partly because I've already seen the drama (Painter of the Wind), which makes it hard to top. Honestly, by no means was the movie better than the drama, that might be because I watched the drama first, however those are my honest thoughts. The plot in the movie is so different to the drama that it made me confused. The plot was, in my opinion, hard to follow but eventually you'd get that ahah moment. (Please note that this is also due to the fact that in these historical dramas I find it hard to tell the older men apart, I was never really sure whether it was the teacher or the father, and still don't know). However good this movie is, I feel it is lacking, not in acting or how it was filmed, but the story was incomplete. I felt that way too little important things were left unexplained, that is the troublesome thing about making a movie, so much to tell but so little time. And by the way, although it doesn't disturb me too much, the movie was rather explicit much more than I'd like.

Disregarding all that I've said, I recommend this movie to you, whether you've already seen the drama or not, it is worth the watch.

A very low key movie - fairly refreshing if you're like me and watch dramas almost non-stop. I just love how subtle the whole thing felt. The pace of this film is like a slow walk with your favorite person in gorgeous weather, or I should say with gorgeous photos of the sky, and fields, and a mailbox. And I love how the pinnacle of the drama revolved around the man who takes those photos. Lovely story.

I watched this movie because of 2PM at first because they say that their song will be like OST or something but later I found out Yoo Seungho is the actor and decided to watch this.

Okay first of all I think it's scary so I don't really like it. BUT I still think the story is quite good. No I think it's great ! Only some scary scene that I hate. But also I think the scary scene really gives the thrill.

I think the actors/actress acting is great and so natural. I should give the a big applause !

Music.. Okay I'm a little disappointed with this cause I think there will be 2PM song but.... NOTHING'S THERE. I never really understand movie's song cause most are instrumental but I think the music goes well with the movie so I should say it's great

I WON'T REWATCH IT. EVER. cause it's scary. But it's not bad. Really. But I'm just too scary to rewatch this .___. I close my eyes on most of the scene so I won't rewatch this.

Overall I'm not really enjoying this movie but I don't think it's a bad movie.. Only the scary part .__.
Maybe you should watch this if you don't hate scary movie. But I should say it's not really scary .__.

I watched this because of Yoo Seungho and Kang Sora actually but the title is "4th period murder mystery" well I hate murder story cause it maybe scary but I then decided to watched this.

So I think the story is great actually. But when it's like almost ended the story is not so good anymore I can say it's bad actually. It's unexpected but I think it's TOO unexpected so I think the storyline is too quick .___.

I love the cast and acting, it's funny and little romance. Well a little thriller too but still good acting :)

I can't really remember the music but I think it goes well with the movie so I should say it's good

I wouldn't rewatch it cause I don't think it's really worth rewatch but maybe I will rewatch too see Yoo Seungho /shot nah. I think it's quite worth rewatch :)

Overall I enjoy the movie and I think if you want to watch this you should. Oh and if you are scared because it maybe scary.. No it's not scary so you should watch this :)

I totally enjoyed it. This movie is done SOo0~ well, the story was published as a novel in Japan before and now they made a movie.

Because it´s kinda scary, I wanted to watch it with my friends, but actually, don´t be afraid, it´s not really scary so I could have watched it by myself too. But I think..watching with friends is still better, cause they will enjoy it with you :3

And now I have been thinking about this even days after watching. It is awesome! I love the music and cast and everything. Please watch!!

Very cute n adorable story. The main girl was cute n the drama was enjoyable to watch seeing how she was confuse with her feeling of wheteher she likes her husband or the guy she always had a crush on. This drama makes her rethink about how she did have feeling for her husband but did not realize it and was just super cute with the main leads bickering and coupleness, it mkaes you envy and think about how cute they were. Since they were both imature in love n all, it makes you go and cheer the couple on their love

What a Great Movie! Frozen Flower was a masterful piece of storytelling and allowing them to grow subtly into jealousy, obsession and rage. The three lead characters are fascinating, all struggling with identity, sexuality and duty, and although a villain of sorts does emerge, the film is deeply humanistic and sympathetic. The balances emotional intrigue with court machinations, working in plenty of conspiracies and plotting involving enemies both inside and outside the palace, and the narrative is rewarding complex. Although there is a certain inevitability as to the conclusion, the film is tense and gripping throughout, with a number of twists along the way.
The film features a number of graphic sex scenes, both heterosexual and homosexual, and a great deal of nudity. As such it is a very adult film in every sense of the word, and is really only for open minded viewers, though these scenes are never gratuitous, playing a vital role in the story. The sex scenes are beautifully shot and artistic, with the three leads all giving committed and brave performances, especially Jo In Sung, who is excellent as the increasingly tormented Hong Rim in a very difficult role.
Although the film is long, coming in at nearly two and a half hours, it is well paced and could easily have been longer. The film is also a bloody, visceral affair, with scenes of battles, violent swordplay and shocking torture, which further adds to the tension and helps to keep things entertaining.
However, it is the characters and their emotional journeys that really drive the film and make Frozen Flower so memorable. Deserving to be known for more than just its sexual content, it sees Yoo Ha continuing his impeccable run of form and delivering one the most challenging and engaging films of recent years.
