I'm so hooked !
Main attraction of this show is definitely Dr. Kan, he is a total package. His acting, flirting with phukong (Wasan) & the way he is playing this character are everything. This show has an interesting premise, and top of that more twists and turns keep happening which are totally entertaining. The characters of the senior nurse, hospital director, pharmacist Boss made this story more intriguing. Anyways, I believe in queen Sammon. ✌️I have a unanswered question BTW, who stole the pen? I'm sure it's not Boss. Was this review helpful to you?
We are not supporting the actors we love by supporting such scripts.
The story of this series is disrespectful to the audience. Each plot was a slap in the face of common sense.
With this script they managed to insult the audience, the fans and the actors at the same time.
With every choice I felt the writers were laughing at me for trying to figure out what was going on.
Half-finished characters and stories.
Conflicting choices.
Cliché communication misunderstandings.
Sudden successive unwarranted changes in the style of the series.
Serious subjects at the mercy of depiction as caricatures.
Violence, poverty, misery, murder in the same sack and at the same time as laughter, cold jokes and a carefree lightness.
The list of scripting errors is endless and I don't have the patience to spend one more minute or a word listing them.
Along with all this (fortunately or unfortunately) there were good and strong performances from the actors.
A try to give meaning, significance and dimension to the story.
Good production and cinematography.
Heartfelt plea to everyone: LET'S FINALLY GIVE THE ACTORS WHO RESPECT THEIR ART, THE SUPPORTING FANS AND THE BL AUDIENCE THE STORIES THEY ALL DESERVE.
And to be fair:
Α big thumbs up to the actors who tried to give us, with their acting, a relief from this scripted mess. Thank you for the hard work you did.
And a red card to the direction because the director should have protected the series, the actors and the audience from the above errors, not magnify them.

Well-acted, beautifully directed story that fell apart due to poor writing execution
SUMMARY:Strengths:
- There are some really subtly romantic scenes and moments + some really spicy scenes that had emotional weight
- Despite all the mental illness, the ML/FL/2FL/2ML dynamic was more refreshing and mature in its presentation than you'd fine in other dramas
- Gong Yoo.
- Stunning visual storytelling -- beautiful framing, colors, sets, lighting.
- The background and groundwork of the emotional arcs of the characters were interesting and well thought-out
- Explored the ideas of marriage and what it means to society in a thoughtful way
- Music was PERFECT
Weaknesses:
- Plot fell apart by the end, characters emotional journeys were rushed or sloppily handled and in the end unsatisfactory
- Some uneven acting at times (though not anything truly awful)
- Some use of silly cliche tropes that had no place in a mature drama like this
- The romance ended up feeling somewhat flat overall, and inconsistent, as sometimes I felt little chemistry and other times a lot
- The thriller plotline was not well integrated, and didn't really hold interest or have a strong place in the story
Watch if:
- You can easily get lost in visuals and ascetics (cinematography/directing/music/sets)
- Have a fat crush on Gong Yoo,
- Are interested in the topic of marriage and what it means to society today
- Enjoy romance with a slight thriller element
- Aren't as picky about the plots or character arcs being perfect, you're in it for some entertainment and to enjoy the ride
- Enjoy merely exploring emotions and what is underneath various mental illnesses or addictions or personality types
Skip if:
- A realistic emotional journey of a character is really important to you in a story
- You feel unsatisfied if the plot doesn't come together well in the end
- Don't like open endings
- You are looking for a squees and butterflies crack drama type of romance
- Not really into thriller or depressing themes like abuse -- OR really into thriller elements (as I don't think they were well executed here)
- You don't wanna see boobies on screen (there is one nude scene, though I feel it was used well as a way to highlight the mindset and emotional state of one of the main characters. Did not feel egregious).
DETAILED BREAKDOWN:
--Story: 5/10
This drama fell prey to a fatal flaw common to k drama romance/thrillers. Despite the writer framing the story as if they were tied together, the thriller/murder plotline was almost wholly unrelated to the relationship and characters emotional plot arcs. But the writer played out the drama as if they were inexorably intertwined. In fact, the writer could have taken the entire thriller plotline out, and not only would it not AT ALL have changed that main relationship or character plot-lines, it would have actually made the story BETTER.
What does this mean for the show? It means that when the plot-lines for the character arcs (for the FL it's fully grieving her fiance abandoning her, for the ML its coming to terms with his mother's suicide) naturally progress and resolve, instead of being able to move forward with their new emotional states and understanding the world, and move their relationship to some sort of new place because of it, the characters revert back and get stuck in the very same emotional states they should be past now. All because the thriller plot arc has not yet resolved, even though the tie to their emotional arcs is flimsy at best.
So we get silly tropes like noble idiocy and a FL who suddenly throws her entire emotional journey out the window to act exactly like she had at the very beginning of the show, before any growth had happened. And we get one of the main side characters going to prison instead of getting any sort of satisfactory emotional end to his character, all because SOMEONE needed to have killed the stalker. And that's where the show ends.
This all played out as a final third that fell so emotionally flat I stopped really caring about the characters. I was gonna write this review immediately after but genuinely forgot the show even existed for a week. It didn't leave an impact on me because of the way the writer mishandled the story. Which is truly a shame.
--Acting: 9/10
Gong Yoo's Jeong Won was so human, and I loved how he did not try and overplay him as an unrealistic suave ML character to make him appealing, but instead he tried to show the parts of JW that made him lovable, even if those parts were also what contributed to his weaknesses and flaws. Gong Yoo always brings such a great vulnerability and groundedness to his characters. He really was the heart of this show.
Seo Hyun Jin had some great moments, and is clearly talented, but I often found her portrayal too robotic in trying to show the withdrawn, coldness of No In Ji. I wanted to see more subtle moments of the fire and pain just underneath the surface, which we got sometimes but were blaringly absent at others. Without those I felt detached from her character, and really only felt her show her underlying humanity in scenes with Gong Yoo, I think because he brought out more warmth in her from his acting style. And really, their chemistry works mostly because Gong Yoo completely sold being madly in love w her. She often seemed indifferent to him, and again, without those little micro-expressions and tells that show she actually cares deeply but is hiding it. She also never seemed to really get a handle on her character, but I chalk that up in a big part to the inconsistent writing. By the end of the story she has not grown at all, which derailed the impact of the whole show. And I can't help. but think a different actress may have been able to bring it all together better despite the flawed writing.
Jung Yun Ha did a good job of keeping ex-wife Lee Seo Yeon from becoming a cliche psychopath crazy bitch character, she always kept the character grounded in deeply buried pain and sadness. I fully bought that she believed everything she was saying, and was deluding herself as much as everyone else. I felt enough sympathy for her to be able to enjoy her story arc, even if I still did not like her or approve of what she did. I also felt she was too ignored in the last few eps (because of the boring stalker plotline) and they wrapped her character up too quickly and sloppily. But the actress managed it well and her performance also stood out to me.
The other actors did fine in their roles, though no one stood out to me as going above and beyond. But no one was bad enough that it took me out of the drama. Overall the ensemble was well cast and performed well.
--Visual/Directing: 10/10
Truly gorgeous sets, framing, lighting, etc. I am glad I watched this show just for the beauty of the visual storytelling. I think it elevated the writing well above where it could have been in less deft hands. Truly a talented team working on this aspect of the show.
--Music: 10/10
Love the OST, really love the score and use of horror/industrial music. Flawless soundtrack overall.

Garbage.
Love the actors but a what waste series. Garbage! Poor plot and writing. Even if u skipped dialogues, you will not missed anything. I just watch it for the sake of FOMO. I wish it was emotion grounded like blue canvas of youthful days since the title is kidnap, i hope they gave us more genuine raw emotion and what was the worst was that the nonsense music ground. Hate it.Was this review helpful to you?
When Your favorite actors can't save an underwhelming story...
I was instantly excited when I saw "The Trunk" pop up on Netflix. Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin are favorites from two of my most rewatched KDramas ever ("Coffee Prince" & "Another Miss Oh"), so I just knew this short drama would be a new favorite of mine. Their performances lived up to my expectations but unfortunately, this drama did not."The Trunk" is a romantic but melancholy thriller whose plot deals with heartbreak, manipulation, trauma, and longing, and yet the slow pace and convoluted story made this difficult for me to finish. I kept hoping as more of the plot was revealed that I would connect more with the story but I never did. Even the concept of the actual trunk, which seemed like a literal representation of the emotional baggage the characters carried with them, didn't live up to the importance the title suggested. Even as a melodrama it falls flat, despite the great chemistry between the leads. I hoped that the suspense would eventually make me care, but it didn't. The strongest message ended up being that marriages are transactions that don't always benefit both parties, creating resentment and regret.
Gong Yoo, plays a much darker character than the more comedic KDrama romcom characters he is usually known for in earlier dramas, which is nice to see. He plays Jeong Won, an addict who's obsessed with his ex-wife and consumed with childhood trauma. Seo Hyun Jin on the other hand plays a depressed and heartbroken character who is similar in some ways to her role in "Another Miss Oh" without the comedic moments. No In Ji is abandoned by her Fiance which leaves her detached emotionally and leads her to become a contract wife for hire. Both of these actors play well off of each other with chemistry that is undeniable but because these characters spend so much of this drama being either emotionally unavailable or melancholy, instead of being excited to watch their relationship develop I felt drained.
Then there is Jung Yun Ha as Lee Seo Yeon, Jeong Won's manipulative ex who is also a great character with a character arc that I just didn't get. It also doesn't help that this drama is told out of sequence which made her motivations even harder to follow and understand or empathize with. She and her Boy Toy contract husband had their own interesting chemistry but as the drama dragged on I became less and less interested in them.
Even the main villain, Kim Dong Won from another favorite of mine "The Smile Has Left Your Eyes" was played well but was written to be so one-dimensional that his character was more boring than menacing.
If I'm honest I didn't care about any of the supporting characters or cameos, even though some talented well-known actors were nice to see.
Would I watch this again? No, or at least not without a full explanation that makes the story suddenly more interesting. This is meant to be part suspenseful crime drama but I could barely even understand what they were investigating and why. We experience that part of the story mainly through flashbacks, and we are meant to see situations from different perspectives. The Trunk is the catalyst but It also felt like a red herring. Maybe a second viewing knowing how the plot unfolds would make me like this more, but I still think the slow drawn-out pace would make it hard to actually enjoy. The two leads are the only reason I would even consider giving the drama a 2nd try.
Overall, this drama is beautifully shot and the actors are great, but it's a buzz kill. Maybe my expectations were too high, but where the acting and direction excelled the writing was a failure for me. This drama is heavy on symbolism and light on plot. If you're looking for character development or a thrilling mystery I think this drama missed the mark on both. The romance is decent if you like the premise of two dysfunctional people exploring love and healing past hurts but don't expect a satisfying payoff. Even the soundtrack tried too hard to be "interesting" and at times felt too over the top to take seriously. Even dealing with my own grief recently, I couldn't relate to these characters or their pain, especially through fragmented flashbacks that were hard to piece together. I also finished it in a day and a half but it felt like it took a week, which isn't great for an 8 episode drama. Binging shouldn't feel like work.
This drama isn't the worst but I can't recommend it, even for the performances. Maybe if you're just in the mood for something slower-paced, and grown up you will enjoy this more than I did. Seo Hyun Jin stoic poker face, and Gong Yoo's emo puppy dog eyes have their limits for me, so I think this would have been MUCH better as a movie with a faster pace. "The Trunk" as a drama left me frustrated and drowning in boredom and watching the time way too often. I like a good noir vibe but not a turn-out-the-lights-and-snore vibe. I struggled my way to the end which took a lot of patience and I wouldn't try to convince anyone else to do the same.

lackluster vertical micro series
Overall: 40 total episodes for about 1hr 15 minutes runtime (a little under 2 minutes per episode). Episodes 1-10 are free to watch on the Alwayz Shortdrama YouTube channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNSRcn2apDarHe7Tml51AIxwuqIE1SAO7&si=RWE6BtHqjZdxkdSV - on Dec 6th I watched all 40 episodes for free with a special livestream https://www.youtube.com/live/zNQiDd3UiY0Content Warnings: past suicide, grief, mental health struggles, suicidal thoughts, near suicide
What I Liked
- caring moments such as first aid, piggyback ride
- good kissing
- that 1-10 are free on their YouTube channel and they did give a short window to watch all episodes for free instead of needing to download their app
Room For Improvement
- love triangle
- slow pacing
- didn't feel connected to any characters or their relationships with each other
- too many flashbacks
- night scenes needed more light on the actors' faces
- the band aids were much more distracting than whatever they were covering (scars, freckles, tattoos)
- the pool was so shallow that characters could all stand in it and yet a character said "how did you get to me, oh you swam"
- ending left something to be desired, after being so determined to do something a character seemed to make a strong 180 turn

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK DID MY EYES JUST WITNESS?!
DO NOT WATCH!I decided to watch On the Turf after seeing a review about it. As someone who’s into heavy themes, I thought it’d be right up my alley. I saw the low ratings but didn’t really care—heavy dramas and movies usually don’t get the best ratings anyway.
But damn, I was not ready for how fucking stupid this show was. I couldn’t even sit through it without skipping parts. The pacing was a mess, the dialogue sucked and DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE ACTING. For a show that’s supposed to be deep, it was shallow as hell.
Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this shit to anyone. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it just didn’t. If you’re looking for something with actual depth, save yourself the time and skip this one.

If this love is poison, then I will gladly drink
A wonderfully wholesome romance and fun law drama with the best partners in every sense. This is a good apple.Ryoma was a passionate lawyer as well as a riot of a human. A delightful tsundere, with his L-like eccentricities and constant overanalyzing of situations and talking to himself/his succulents. What I loved the most about him, though, was his steadfastness for Haruto. No matter who or what tried to get in the way (including Haruto himself), he stood firm and said, "This is my partner."
And Haruto. Haruto at first appeared to be a suspiciously shiny apple. Enchanting, but clearly, something is under the surface. Once he felt safe with Ryoma, though, he slowly let his real self show. His hurt, fear, and overwhelming love he had to give. I adored his confidence, resilience, and unconditional support for Ryoma.
I hate to say goodbye to this wonderful pairing and their little succulent family.

If you're looking for angst, drama, or spice this isn't for you.
This is a mellow drama. I would say it is kind of comparable to We Are in tone, but with fewer couples and less making out. So, if you are looking for the angst of something like A Tale of Thousand Stars or Until We Meet Again, the drama of Bad Buddy or Love in the Air, or the spice of KinnPorshe or Venus in the Sky. You won't find it here. If you're looking for the catchy tunes of My High School President, you will also not find it here. What you will find is a chill, slow burn relationship between an introvert with extreme social anxiety, relationship trauma and a tense family situation being slowly healed by the unending affection, patience and positivity radiating from his golden retriever in human form neighbor.
Overall, it was cute. The friend group was great. I love when the friend groups are actually good friends. They also don't disappear as soon as the couple forms and are actually also supportive of Diew. And there were really great moments where they picked up when someone in the group (or even God) was making Diew uncomfortable and someone would step in to change the subject or help. It was such a small scene, but I loved it so much when they were on a trip together and it was clear Diew was feeling a little smothered by God. And yes, him and God talk it out pretty quickly and peacefully, but when they rejoined the group, one of the friends also brought Diew to sit next to them instead and when he was gone another friend told God that he was being too much. So, they may not have known God and Diew talked it out already, but they were still willing to step in on Diew's behalf.
There was a huge emphasis on communicating and while they both had moments where they tripped up and didn't do it, they did eventually talk things out. And again, with the big misunderstanding, God's friends came in clutch. He's sulking and all "I don't get why Diew said/did that" and they're just like, "well, I don't have the answers. Stop talking to me and go talk to him."
Also shout out to the product placement, 'cause it took multiple episodes before it clicked that the phone was being marketed. And it was genuinely working on me. Like some of the features it showed off (which were a little weird in context, but not unbelievable) had me curious about the phone and wishing my phone had them.
The acting felt a little awkward at times and it was hard to parse out if that was the character or the actor, since I'm not really familiar with these actors in other things. With God being in a band, I do wish there had been more music.
Also, the vet was a jerk and I just feel like there should have been some karma going his way. Especially since he didn't change. His whole apology was still totally focused on himself and occurred after he basically stalked and cornered Diew into talking to him. Like dude didn't even consider Diew's feelings in his apology to Diew for previously hurting his feelings.
And I feel like social media could have been used to develop them and their relationship more. Like we get little insights at how Diew is feeling from what he posts on social media and God seems to start posting more when he sees Diew posting, but I feel like it could have been used more to like...show them growing closer together in little "this made me think of you" ways that are not in the form of a giant stuffed turtle. Like if God posted a picture with a quote from the book thing bonded over. Or if Diew posted about like having a headache and so God left him a bag on his door with medication. Or even text message conversations. Like the post-it notes to each other were cute. It would have been cute to keep up that kind of thing (as post-its on each others doors or reading space, or changing it to texts/social media posts instead) even after they got together.

One of the most likeable Main Teams I've seen in a drama
I feel like I just started watching this drama , but in the blink of an eye it's I already finished watching the last episode.
This was one of those dramas that I anticipated the most, because I loved the novel and I really liked the cast. My expectations were high and this drama delivered. I absolutely LOVED it.
The cast did an amazing job with their characters. They were exactly what I expected. And above everything else, they were all likeable. The main five (yes, I'm including Cui Cui), are among the most likeable main 'teams' I've seen in dramas so far. I really loved their dynamic.
The story moves at a fast pace and there are almost no dull moments. The story itself is interesting and engaging. It's a nice blend of funny, cute and bright with emotional heavier themes. Love and affection in different forms is presented very nicely and it's definitely a thread connecting all the stories aside from the obvious connection to the overall mystery of the overarching plot.
This drama has made my rewatch list, which is probably the highest praise I can bestow on a drama.
I'm going to miss these characters until my next rewatch.

***REVIEW WITH IMPLIED SPOILERS:

This show doesn't know its identity. It has a lot of good elements, but its storylines are a jumbled mess, and meaningful characterization is thrown out of the window every chance the drama can give a shock value in the form of a despicable villainess and a typical white knight who is "trying to scare his loved one away for her own sake".
The first part had its problems, but it was entertaining to watch, somewhat. The second part actually made me depressed and disgusted with certain characters and actions. Even the suspension of disbelief wasn't enough to keep watching it for me, becuase I hated it THAT much. I kept going because I wanted Nan Qiao to have a happy ending (even if it was with a coward who didn't really deserve her) and see the villainess from hell suffer satisfactorily. It is rare for me to be disgusted by fictional characters (partially because I drop dramas if it seems like people are too accommodating to these types of people), but she is definitely going into my top 10 most hated characters ever. Wow.
Love is not a joke. People's feelings aren't a joke. Scars on relationship dynamics (romantic as well as friendship) won't heal suddenly. You can't just undo many, many unjustified attacks because you feel sorry about them.
And that is without even mentioning the many, many, many, many, many, MANY flashbacks. I am not against flashbacks, but this drama had no idea how to utilize them. And more ridiculously, they showed these flashbacks over and over and over again, occasionally adding a few seconds to give "new info about the past". If that was an artistic choice, it was an epic fail. When you cut the garbage time and random meaningless looks into the sky (that usually led to having a flashback, sometimes even to the events that happened in the very same episode), you would have 20 episodes or less. I am not joking.
The writers, the directors, the editors, the stylists... I can't help but feel like they had a good (if a bit basic, but still charming and relatable) concept yet failed the audience and the acting. I can't believe they wasted William Chan and Li Xian's screen presence like this, and I especially can't believe how underutilized Bai Bai He was in the first half of the drama. Since she was especially good in the second half (when they gave her more to work with), you can't help but think of reasons why her character wasn't as dynamic in the first half.
I can ignore budget-related issues like obviously fake car scenes, but I can't forgive bad-faith direction.
In short, I don't recommend this drama to the people who read the synopsis and are REALLY intrigued. If you are a fan of the lead actors, you can watch it, there are great materials for you to be satisfied. But you might also combust in anger over the wasted potential. The FL's character progression is fine, but that alone can't be a reason to watch this.
And if you are going to watch this no matter what, be prepared to fast-forward many, many, many, MANY scenes, whether they are repetitive flashbacks or unnecessary nastiness.

MY RATING:
***
I still give it 7 out of 10, because for a drama I hated, it had a lot of elements I enjoyed. I know this is a bit contradictory to what I wrote above, but, well, I calmed down a bit as I was writing this review. I still hate a lot about the drama but I guess it is a decent time waster if you can utilize the fast-forward feature liberally.
I liked the character progression of the FL, especially after the first quarter of the drama. I liked William Chen's character when he wasn't influenced by his toxic slave owner; he had a mischievous side with a charming smile. (Indeed, he was very easy to like until the Cdrama cliches kicked in.) The drones were interesting, if a bit basic concept. Even though the storylines got jumbled at points, I liked the FL's attitude regarding this, her hardworking attitude and her willingness to realize her goals.
The acting wasn't outstanding, maybe excluding a few scenes. If you have seen these actors in other dramas, you probably have seen their highs already. And the drama relied heavily on William Chen to sell us on the lead couple's chemistry in the first 10 episodes or so, and I fully blame the directors and editors for this. Bai Bai He is fine, you can see it in their cute scenes in the middle and last parts of the drama. Especially the very last episodes fed me well. I even forgot about my anger for a second, the lead couple was being that cute. But anyone with an eye can see that the post-production of this drama was a mess.
OST was well enough but the ending song was LOUD.

SMALL RANT WITH IMPORTANT SPOILERS:
***
I will never forgive a drama for making its main lead sinister to the romantic interest in order to protect them. I actually won't forgive. Because the writers have the nerve to act like these things didn't happen, as if all toxic behavior of a lead character is good as long as they have good intentions.
Some things are irredeemable. Even if they are to be forgiven despite that, they are definitely unforgettable.
There are many instances in which I was disgusted by Shi Yue and An Ning's relationship. Besides the unbelievable amount of screen time this ridiculous (and disturbing) storyline had, one thing that stuck in my mind was how soft-spoken Shi Yue was to An Ning even when he *hated* her. I cannot believe the writers and director made him so sinister towards Nan Qiao while making him do these kinds of scenes with his "owner", yet expect us to believe this is a well-done romance drama. What a joke. What an unfunny, disgusting, disturbing joke.
I truly do not understand how the writers thought it was a good idea to make Shi Yue so soft and compassionate to An Ning, even to the last second, right in front of his girlfriend and right after AN tried to kill his girlfriend. It is so, so frustrating to see him being like that in front of his girlfriend. I know I am repeating myself, but that is because of the anger and frustration I feel about this. Li Xian's character was an annoying antagonist too, but at least he wasn't the walking red flag An Ning was, and the show didn't try to redeem him by making Shi Yue subservient to him to the end, like they did with An Ning and Shi Yue. (I should stop, because I feel like I could write an essay with thousands of words about my disgust and anger about this.)
For my sanity, I am choosing to ignore everything related to An Ning and try to remember this drama by its best qualities, which are the incredibly cute scenes at the back-half of the drama.

Boring, Weird, Deceptively Basic Plot
My 4 categories are Acting/Cast, Writing, Direction/SFX/Music, Entertainment Value.I wasn't sure about watching this. I'm not really into contract romances. However, psychological is my favorite K-drama genre... so I do like darker stuff.
Acting/Cast: A good cast with good acting. Although, two of the characters, I think, looked too similar. It may be confusing for people who are new to K-dramas. It was Jo Yi Geon (조이건), who for some reason isn't listed in the cast (the second female lead's new husband) and Kim Dong Won (김동원), who plays the stalker. When I was half paying attention to this drama I would get them mixed up. There's also some characters in this drama that I'm not sure why they're there. But, to be fair, I'm not sure why this drama is doing anything it's doing. 7/10
Writing: This drama is so overdramatic. They tease the hell out of us like it's such a crazy murder mystery and it's not. Literally, it's nothing. It's all a gimmick. This drama is more like a life drama that's trying to trick us into thinking it's a scary mystery drama. The villains are non-threatening and the motives are weak. Actually, the real villains are the cops because they refuse to lock up a psycho murderer until after he kills someone, but they have to catch him doing it on camera with his face showing clearly. So if the cops aren't going to do anything about this dude, then someone else will...naturally. The story is just very predictable and way overdramatic for what the plot actually is. By the end...well I wasn't really surprised by how dull the "revelations" were because I could see it coming, but it was pretty strange that there wasn't really anything to the story and that the contract marriage aspect to it was really just a gimmick. They could have told the same story without that and I think it would have been much better, too - there would be more at stake. The female lead doesn't make much sense. Even the whole thing with her and her ex was overdramatic and weird. The male lead was a decent character, though. I think he was the only decently written aspect of this drama (except if I had his trauma, I'd have a device on me at all times that detects hidden cameras). The ending...I haven't seen such a sudden dramatic change in a character before. It only made this whole drama feel even more pointless. 1/10
Direction/SFX/Music: The SFX is fine. The music is good, but it doesn't fit the drama. It just feels so dramatic for no reason. I wanted to say that this drama feels "over-produced", but when I looked up exactly what that word means, people said either it means you can't explain why you don't like a film or that there's too much meaning behind every little thing. But, I mean it in the sense that it feels really flashy (the music, camera work, direction, etc.) as if the story is going to be something really badass or scary or intricate, but it's really not. The production is gaslighting me. The direction is also confusing for no reason - making scenes appear as if they're dreams when they're not? Right? 3.5/10
Entertainment Value: I binged this drama, but not because I was liking it. It was because it's only 8 episodes and I just wanted to get it over with. I wish I didn't though. I feel like I wasted my time. Nothing cool happens; it just gets more dumb and confusing as it goes. 1/10
Overall, I gave this drama a 3/10. The production of it felt a lot like The Glory, but the writing was more like...Please Don't Date Him...yeah that's a good reference. That's another overdramatic drama that was really just a life drama that used sci-fi and mystery elements to make it seem like it was going to be something more interesting.
