Amazing acting
First I want to that the FL is such an amazing actress. I mean truly. This series started out really well and progressed well toward the middle. The events, the acting, the chemistry were all great. It was truly heartfelt. My issue is as you get near the end of the series you experience the senseless push, pull. One runs away while the other chases. Then it switches around. By the end I was like “be together or just make a decision.” I loved the supporting cast their relationship really seemed to have more depth and let’s not forget that there was real growth with them. What I like most was the acting and the plot was unique.
What I disliked was that they dragged the separation on so long between the leads. In addition to this our supporting cast seemed to get a better ending in terms of closure than the main leads.
Overall good series, I just really wish the ending was better. It was just too weak for such an emotional series.

WEIRD
Drama had a great starting and I was hooked but then a lot happened and in the very first few episodes Zhen Rong died and ever since it's just depressing and wholly business. Zhen Rong and Xiao Su had one of the best chemistry I've seen, it's simple yet sweet like a fairytale though had a tragic ending. Other lead was nice but he never seemt all that genuine to me and he wronged fl in more than one circumstances and even though story progressed and they fell in love it just felt weirdly out of place since he questioned her love for his brother over and over and used harsh words when she was barely surviving. Things like that stick by me and it's something I can never forget if happened to me so maybe that's why I don't like other lead. Forgiveness is great but forgetting isn't.I only watched first 9 episodes without skipping then it was all just skipping. even if i rewatch this it'll only be for first 5 episodes. Rest just make me pissed off or make me bawl my eyes out.

This was my second time watching the shows ...
Watching this show for the first time, I somehow noticed that the actress portraying the supporting rule ofZou Si Qi (Ai Ru) was annoying.
The second time I watched this show was that I cannot stand Zou Si Qi (Ai Ru) characters being portrayed as brusque, crusty manners and of course the boyfriend was treated like "I only need you because I needed your " ---!!?? : >
Zou Si Qi (Ai Ru) --- really, you can act better than that even though portraying as dominant characters!! omg, WHAT AN ANNOYING portrayal. I can't even fast forward whenever her scenes comes along, or I'll missed something relevant which I missed during my first viewing.
On you next shows Ai Ru please do your best and not act stupidly annoying.
As for the rest of casting, good job everyone, thanks you for this wonderful shows and by the way "Shawn Dou" --- oh myyyyyyyyyyy, hot!!! hot !!! hot!!! YOU ARE the "Carolina Reaper" as the hottest chili pepper in the world -- my hottest KING : )

very bingeable leads
Watching Tears in Heaven right after Princess Agents is like seeing YanXun & Chun'Er meet again in a later life & start their relationship anew. I have to admit this pair is the only thing that kept me watching.Tears in Heaven follows Du XiaoSu (Li Qin), a spunky interior design graduate who could only find work as a gossip writer until she meets Shao ShenRong, a doctor treating an elusive celebrity she's chasing for an interview. They fall in love, to the consternation of ShenRong's mother, and an untimely tragedy leads XiaoSu into a direct clash with ShenRong's best friend, Lei YuZheng (Shawn Dou).
It's a captivating story, but one filled with stereotypical characters who lie to, & misunderstand, each other from one situation to the next. Deep dark secrets abound both at home & in the office, which never seem separate in Chinese dramas. So, against the conventional backdrop of corporate power struggle lies the stories of 6 people trying to find love & a stable connection amid workplace chaos, personal trauma, & an unsupportive economy.
XiaoSu is seemingly gutsy & determined, but irrationally timid & mute at the same time. When threatened with losing her job she can literally risk her life stepping out on a building ledge, but when threatened with losing a relationship she just accepts it without a word. Luckily, she learns to fight the 2nd time around, but really, the show could've ended by the 7th episode if she had just made a phone call to clear up an issue involving her father. And why doesn't she regularly contact her parents who live far away? They don't show up until more than half way through the drama, and unexpectedly at that.
I also had an issue with the portrayal of XiaoSu's career as an independent designer. Another show, The Furthest Distance, also features an independent architectural designer with a small staff but it did a much better job using that scenario to showcase a large part of that character's personality & strength. In Tears, XiaoSu doesn't interact with much of her staff, nor do we see how she even hired anyone. She & her staff don't act as a team. She isn't shown holding meetings, assigning work, or resolving workplace issues. It's as if her career was just another outfit she wears, & we're left to judge her character based only on her pursuit of a man. I ended up agreeing with her questioning what exactly does YuZheng see in her.
Although XiaoSu is seemingly the central characer, the show is very much male centric. YuZheng heads an all male board of shareholders. Even the executive assistants are male. All of XiaoSu's clients are male. The only powerful females are entertainment celebrities. XiaoSu regards herself as a nobody & is only someone for YuZheng to take care of. Apart from just sticking by his side, she didn't actually do much for him other than take care of his father while letting her own business falter.
The 2nd & 3rd couples I won't go into but they featured females who make irrational decisions & have unrealistic expectations of their relationships. It was hard to find sympathy for either of them.
The final quarter of the show centers on YuZheng as the story focuses on his corporate power struggles while the romance, along with XiaoSu, gets put on the backburner. Seeing the relationship stall really made me hope the show wouldn't end with them suddenly getting back together only in the very last scene. I was pleasantly surprised that the last 2 eps were actually quite enjoyable, with a lovely double wedding scene featuring brides in modern gowns but in traditional red. In the end, all the relationship conflicts resolve simply & cleanly in a pool of forgiveness & redemption.
Numerous writing/editing gaps in the story left so many loose ends. For example, the introduction & subsequent disappearance of YuZheng's lawyer happens just when you'd think a lawyer would be front & centre. Or how did YuZheng pretend to be ShenRong, and then suddenly everyone knew he wasn't & was ok with it? XiaoSu & YuZheng apparently met in an earlier incident years prior but the circumstances are never explained. And how does one maintain perfect hair after 8 months in jail?
Annoying & sloppy details aside, the real attraction to this show would be the leads, Li & Dou, who put in decent performances & worked well with each other. Who knew YanXun & Chun'Er were made for each other after all. With these two to look at, one can almost ignore the irregularities in the writing. It's still a very bingeable show.

Watching the drama with its beautiful OST and memorable characters was a treat and the first 20 episodes were great. I loved the slow burn but intense love-story between Du Xiaosu & Lei Yuzheng. How they actually bonded because of their love for Zhen Rong who died so tragically. I feel like the main plot and focus was lost after Yuzheng got into jail in ep 21. I knew the writers shied away from the heavy angst that was in the novel and how deeply twisted and toxic main-leads relationship actually was, and how sad it actually became (as i have read some spoilers of the novel) but the saving grace was somehow the redemption of a villanious greedy character Lin Xiang Yuan who i actually came to ship with Fan Lu. They literally felt like a old couple still in love. This drama could have been sooooo much better without all the business politics and investigation that dominated for the entire other half od this drama. Felt like i was wasting so much time watching it. But i am glad i finished it. I think i will always remember Tears in Heaven for the melancholic and sad feeling it could give me sometimes.

Its been a while since i finished this show but, i just came across it again so i writing this review. If you have ever seen the taiwanese drama love relativity, then you could possible like this. Thats what i thought. Im a fan of li qin and was excited for this show because the plot was so interesting, but as the show continued after zen rong died the story went down hill progressively. I though at some point it would get better but it didnt.
If you are okay with trash this is the one for you.

A crazy rollercoaster to emotions
This has spoilers as I needed to vent?Just finished and it didn't disappoint completely. You do need tissues by you and I watched alone as I screamed at the TV alot lol. I feel if you lucky to get 2 true loves in one lifetime is just an amazing thing to see.
I found Leon Zhang character Dr. Shao zen rong in this drama to be cute, playful, living and romantic. Just wished he could of had more screen time rather than flashbacks. I enjoyed his romance with li Qin and all the fun they had together especially jumping off the roof, amusement park and hospital when she worked for the magazine. He couldn't wait to introduce her to his brother and when they finally meet Lei yu Zhen has a flashback of her drunk in the rain and feels she a gold digger. I was really disappointed when zen rong mother made them break up and didn't do or say anything to stop him from going abroad. He truly loved li Qin with all of his heart and how he secretly got the ring to propose and was buying a house. I'm glad she made it in time and that he was able to see her and the ring saying yes as he closed his eyes goodbye. Then comes in the brother Lei yu zheng who in a furry of hate pushes her away and tells her to get lost. As time goes by yu zheng is still furious with her and finds out she wants to buy there dream home. When it's time to buy the house he buys it so she can't have it and then they argue and he makes her work off ¥2million. So she finds a few higher paid part time jobs and he keeps running into her especially at the bars and has rescue her a few times and starts to soften up. A few day's later he finds her at the cemetery and he listen to her crying while apologizing to zen rong that she shouldnt have listen to his mother and broke up with him that way she should have fort for love. Now that yu zheng know what happened he desire to watch out and help her so he gets her an interm job with pay. Now we have to deal with the jeousley and spiteful Jiang fan lu long time family friend who think she gonna marry yu Zhen as her supervisor at work. Getting stressed and needs to getaway she see a picture of the kids at orphanage and calls to find out that zen rong was supposed to visit them. So not to disappoint them li qin asks yu zheng to take zen rong place since they never met him and gives him a boat ticket for the island. Once they arrive on the island the kids are there to welcome them with hugs and smiles them someone was having heart attack and turned to yu Zhen to help. Thank God he had some skill and was able to help and send him to hosp for proper help all tells director sun that zen rong died. While being with the kids gave them both different feelings of the other and there relationship starts to develop and thruout the drama they keep helping the orphanage and school. There relationship go thru so many levels of on/off non communication, misunderstanding, jeousley, getting sick physically and making. He wants to help and give her what ever she needs and she does not want his help or support, but she doesn't understand he feels helpless when she struggles. Then we have Lin xiang yuan who betrayed everyone , jeousley of yuzhen, Rich vs poor, undermining the power of business, sends yu Zhen to prison for something he didn't do and then later turns himself in as quily. Now that the company is back on track he offers her a big job again they argue she tell him to get lost and them she wins the young architect award for 1yr in paris. Now she is confused about if she can leave him or not as she truly loves him and doesn't want to lose him and then he appears in front of her. They talk and are both on the same level that he'll follow her or wait for her return. Then we have Si Qi who I thought at first was cute then realized she was so materialistic in so many levels of needing a house in order to get married. I felt so sorry for He qun Fei he was so cute and nieve, but would go to the end of the earth for si qi. She always wined about the house and money, but when out always made him buy expensive clothes, pocketbook, shoes even if he didn't have the money she always belittled him. Then he got the engagement ring that she wanted and he proposed and she rejected him again for the house again.
Shaungshaung is wealthy and a womenizer to all and gets siqi attention and buys all type of thing then sees him with other women and he tell her he'll never marry. Now during this qun Fei has started a different look on life and got a backbone so when siqi came running back he made her work for it. ?
That's it. So watch for all the other fill ins that are good

Good, but dragged on a bit
This was an ok drama, but with the elaborate stories around supporting characters it did drag on a bit too much.It was the main characters' story that was the most interesting, and even that felt a bit too repetitive/dragged out too much towards the end.
?? Main female character had an interesting development, but I felt she got too lifeless/sad.
??? Her friend really annoyed me - so much so, that I skipped forward through several of her scenes.
?? Main male character was good; also with an interesting character growth.
?️ As for the other supporting characters, I liked that the "villainious" wasn't purely bad.
I'm not sure if I missed some details or if there actually was some loose threads in the storyline.
All in all it was a quite good watch, but the mood felt a bit too sad/depressing towards the end, which might seem a bit contradictory to the story development.

Melodrama halfway, then heavy business plot till the end...
IMO, u could only enjoy this if u r a big fan of Shawn Dou or Li Qin, otherwise I’m sure u wouldn’t last till the end... the plot is just crazy, what an emotional rollercoaster! What interested me at first:
- I like Shawn Dou, so I watched lots of his dramas, he always delivers in his acting, including in this no matter how rude n annoying his character is... he looks good n manly in almost everything, n that cute smile helped getting thru this mess... Li Qin is ok too... Leon Zhang had a presence, so eventhough he actually only played in the 1st 6eps, he was one of the factors that this drama was interesting at first...
- The chems between FL&ML is good... FL also had good chems with SML, so it was a lil bit of dilemma for me, but since he isn’t the ML anyway, i knew he wouldn’t last...
- Plotwise was enjoyable till halfway...
- How cute ML in the last few eps when he wanted to win FL back... i wish they had stayed on this path longer instead of the heavy business plot with the usual angsty misunderstandings...
What made me lost interest:
- Plotwise after ML was suddenly framed n sent to prison... he became such an annoying character, esp to FL... even after he was out of prison (honestly i’m not even sure how long he stayed there, this part I skipped a lot!)... anyway when he was out, he became an ass, even after everything she’s done for him&his dad...
- The push n pull between the leads was just an emotional rollercoaster after that halfway point... it’s like FL has a tendency towards emotional torture... like when he is at the bottom, she is there for him, taking care of his dad n stays with him no matter how harsh he acts towards her... but when he is finally better, being his oldself n nice to her, suddenly she has insecurity n thinks that they r from different worlds, so she avoids him... like what? why has she stayed then? only for the torture? They r adults n smart people, but somehow they don’t get the concept of communication... ??♀️
- The heavy business plot... there was almost no screentime together between the leads, again after that midway till almost the end... somehow to takeover the company, ML has to disappear n leave FL without explanation... why? Just tell her something... the miscommunication part is just so unnecessary, the typical “I want to protect u so i have to stay away from u“, but actually hurting her all the way... n this plot lasted more than 5eps near the end... n yes, they got back together only in the last eps, last scene to be exact! I hate when that happens... their friends got the happy ending (even the evil one), including the double wedding... while their ending is just a promise of staying together 4ever, a hug & a kiss in the beach... usually that’s enough, it’s just after all the tortures, it feels like they deserve a bit more than that... n IMO we as watchers deserve it too after that trainwreck!
- The side characters got too much screentime... like FL’s BFF & her BF, the ML’s assistant story, IMO their story isn’t that interesting... also the evil guy got too much screentime, n somehow after everything he’s done he kinda redeemed himself without punishment? n there r many unimportant characters in the mix, mostly for the business plot, so yeah, i don’t know most of them thx to my FFWD button... ?
Anyway, like I said before, only watch if u like one of the leads like a lot, or big chance u’d drop this fast... for me I stayed for Shawn Dou, n even then i skipped like a lot! Esp the prison part n the heavy business plot... so yeah, first halfway was really enjoyable, then it took a deep dive into a chaotic mess, almost like a point of no return... at least it’s a happy ending with a few cute moments towards the end, so there’s that...

Starting 10 episodes were good afterthat it was too melodramatic
I saw one scene in YouTube that increased interest to watch this drama. I watched this drama because of Shao Zen Rong and Li Qin 's cute love story . I really felt bad to see the death scene of Shao Zen Rong . That scene made me cry . The reason for which I decided to watch this drama it was gone after sixth episode but still I decided to watch this dram to know the story of one night stand because of which Shawn Dou always had bad impression of her and want to know wheather he came to know that why she left Shao Zen Rong but in whole drama these things were not mentioned . To endure this drama till end was time of waste . Both the main lead's character cametogether at the very last scene of the last episode of the drama. Starting 6 episodes were good till the Shao Zen Rong character alive after that totally bore . Their paring looked too cute all the time when he slightly smile to see her . this character die without knowing the reason of breakup felt very bad to see this ,sometime we were involved ourself so much in the story of the drama that can't able to see the injustice with the character Lots of unnecessary scenes were there in th drama.
NOT LIKE MUCH

Tooooo irritating
Tooo irritating, too annoying. Even after seeing so much of negative reviews I decided to watch this drama because all are famous actors and it has 41 episodes thinking that who will invest this much for worst drama but I didn’t had any idea that this drama could be this much worst.I think the director had no idea what he is directing. The characters are like they have multiple personality problem. In one scene they say something and in other scene they act exactly opposite to that. After watching complete drama I really don’t understand why the FL is keep on rejecting the ML and in final episode why she suddenly accepted him without any new reasons or changes in that situation.
Initially she decided to stay away from him because they are from different worlds, ok understandable but when ML is with his female friend she blamed him and wants to brake up him for bulshit reasons.
Again I am expressing the same thing, why only in Chinese dramas the ML characters have no self respect and are tooo shameless. According to me love requires respect, commitment, involvement and cherish from both partners. I don’t know why in Chinese dramas only ML acts like he can’t survive without her but the FL can easily get over and can happily lead her life without him. If you take this drama as example, at starting chasing her or giving more time for her is understandable because she lost her loved one needs more time to love someone again, but after she accepting him I don’t know why the ML should sacrifice his self respect and act shamelessly to Pursue her number of times for her bullshit meaningless misunderstandings.
