Lu Yi and Jin Xia begin investigating the missing monk. Lu Yi praises Liar Lan, to his master as smart and able to protect Dan Qing Ge. Lan, gives Lu Yi unsolicited love advice. Xie Xiao invites Dr Lin and Uncle to come help with the investigation. Xie Xiao mistakenly believes there is something going on between Shangguan and Yang Yue, which upsets Shangguan. Xie Xiao is jealous and throws a tantrum. Later Jin Xia scolds Xie Xiao about his jealousy. Xia Xiao complains that Jin Xia only has eyes for Lu Yi. Jin Xia tells him that she knows that Lu Yi is not someone she can reach and that either way, it is nothing to him. He should stop interfering with her, and take care of his own love life with Shangguan. Saying that he never gave her an explanation... Xie Xiao tries to convince Jin Xia there is nothing between him and Shangguan. Later he sends Shangguan a letter, officially cancelling there engagement. Shangguan is heartbroken and drinks her wedding wine with Yang Yue. Xioaxin dies and Lan is inconsolable.
