While the bad guys do act as a bit of a filler sometimes, the developing romance is really sweet. Weir was a great male lead - steady in his affections and there are no big misunderstandings. He stood by her all the way. The ending while sweet, could have been more gratifying if they showed some details - would have loved to see how they made the living arrangements work and all what with her work in the city and his at the village or who moves where. Or to actually see their married life rather than just her accepting his proposal. After all, we see his best friend having kids and all! Maybe the practical side of me needs such details fleshed out! Was this review helpful to you?

Good if you like Morlum music.
WHAT I LIKED:- Tossapol : I like Weir as an actor he is able of a lot of emotions in different genre or dramas. I liked his portraying this cool ex cop kind of country bumpkin guy . He is very dedicated to his work, his family, his hometown. I liked all the thing he does for them and he tries to woo his so called wife to make her change and improve. I like the fact he never wavered from his obtective to make her personality and her life better even if wooing her is part of the job.
- Chilo: She was unbearable at the beginning but the life in the countryside turns her into a decent and even charming character.
- Kom, the evil guy: he is super idiotic and fun but also very ruthless and underhanded.
- The Dad and Mom: two weird and fun characters.
- The little sister and her friend
- Dr Patachnon was an idiot in the begining but I liked how he kept helping Chilo and brought himself closer to the people in the village.
- Chaimanee: This actress is often a bitch in Thai dramas but here she was a fun and nice character.
- The story is pretty decent: a rich heiress in Bangkok is scammed of her fortune and has to marry a contry bumpkin she hates but their life in the countryside will make them get attached to each other. Also there is a good connection between the events in Bangkok and in the countryside that the end unveils. There is some pretty decent action too.
- A lot of thai humor in this drama: silly humor, horrific humor, salacious humor. Humor of situation. Cute little insults. Imaged mockery... I am not sure the english translation is as effective as the original words but it still is very fun.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE:
- A bit draggy at times :They insisted too much and uselessly of the life in the village and events between the characters. Some storylines are useless and you feel like it is here just for fun and comedy and fill in. It made me fast forward a litlle.
- A clearer ending of the rival "Mo" whould have been appreciated.
MUSIC:
Big warning: This drama is largely built on Thai music and Thai Morlum. The main guys in the drama are a Morlum band and some actors are even Morlum singers. Every episode has its share of Morlum songs and music in scenes or as music videos inserted. It has also a lot of reference to Thai way of having fun, having parties and holidays. I like this music so I don't mind but some might find it annoying and would fast forward.
OVERALL:
It was fun to watch but this is some kind of special drama. Not sure everyone would like it as it has it main toryline but a large part of Thai morlum, Thai humor and fun, Thai family and village matters...

Rich girl gets taken advantage of and has to rely on those she least expected and how it played out was perfect.
There was action, comedy, some drama, a little sweetness and more. This is definitely something you’d enjoy as a pick me up or If you’re in need of a good laugh.
I highly recommend this.

Thailand's Bruce Willis
Ok so I've been watching a few of Weir's lakorns and this guy is like the Bruce Willis of Thailand, total badass at action and moves and his characters aren't always the nicest to the FLs but whatever. I'm in the middle of episode 7 on this one and omg it's like a 180 to see him in a more comedic role and singing but what really cracks me up is he's kinda getting his butt kicked this time by the FL and when he makes the dejected sad face it's so pitiful you feel sad for him but laughing but also like "come on man" . Watching this after his action roles I sometimes say "dude, stop the comedy, put down the microphone round house kick the bad guy, kiss the girl, and lets go." But in this case if he could dump those annoying boy crazy twins, who call his mom mommy, in the lake that'll do. Going to continue this one.Was this review helpful to you?
Weir being talented ALSO as a singer unfortunatelly drowned in a lame genre mish-mash
We have 34-year old Weir paired with a generation younger Stephany Auernig... Their characters in here unfortunatelly seem to be the annoying kind. On their first meeting they yell at each other on a street like a pair of demented 15-year olds, he's loud (has a bullhorn, too), she's loud, trying to be "cool" by speaking english to him (they're both thai), and they end up almost physically fighting. I felt like closing the lakorn immediatelly. Not that I ever expected anything from Stephany Auernig besides being pretty, but after all his previous work I thought Weir finally could do better. This kind of "bickering couple beginning" deserved to be axed, and whoever written this to be sent back 15 years in time, when this was perhaps still in fashion. But, we have 17 episodes here. Shall the series gradually improve? It does have some nice reviews.Yeah, next scene(s) Weir's character starts to act like a policeman, whom he also is supposed to be, in this role. Only it's incongruous with his childish annoying acting with the main girl just before. Pol Poonpat is a villain... once again. But, probably for 1 episode only, else I don't know why isn't his role listed here on MDL. Either way, he attempts to strangle nang'ek at one point. Ends up having his head cracked by a flower vase. And being called idiot. And then having his teeth drilled without anesthetics. It started to look like this would be the "crazy comedy" kind of a lakorn... Again, back to the word childish.
There is one more pretty face here, called "Boss" Chanakan. Besides being pretty, there's not much acting, which in case of a male is kinda worse. Then Stephany Auernig's nang'ek starts throwing food on pra'ek and he starts calling her names... She shouts: "Oh my god, you're so annoying!" which is ironic on many levels. What is SHE, then? Many years I continue to pray towards the whole asian community: Please, don't attempt to speak english. Just don't. PLEASE.
Then there's a song sequence featuring Weir. Thankfully, he's not singing in english so that's definitely a positive. I was thinking, perhaps they should be dancing & singing the WHOLE runtime. The show might actually be LESS annoying. Yeah, let's make the whole thing a musical. Episodes could be shorter and blissfully spare us any "crime" elements or "thai-glish" conversations. That could be done, right?
Sadly, they haven't done it. Soon, the song ends and we're back at watching various attempts of "acting" or "crazy humour acting" of the numerous cast. Not long after first 30 minutes of runtime, we hear the first gunshots (Remember the saying "Good romance doesn't need guns"?). Yeah, the disappointment comes quite soon. This won't be any better than any silly-screaming-and-fighting shows I watched before. Only difference would be, how often that would get interrupted by the musical sequences... As the 1st song was also the last one for the episode, answer is: not often enough.
"Boss" Chanakan's character ends up in a same situation with one secondary female (called 'Mo') in which females usually find themselves in. The gender roles got switched there, somehow it doesn't feel "refreshing".
Acting is not good enough for this to work as drama. It is too annoying to work as comedy. It's too little of the musical (which is a huge pitty, because watching the ending credits, I recognized Weir actually being quite tallented singer! The musical COULD be good. Seriously.) So...
Overall, the whole cocktail of MORE than hour and a half left me VERY tired.
So, maybe the show later improves a little, but I'm tired with it NOW.
