The Most Successful Asian Films of 2019 ICAC agent Lu Zhi Lian is on an undercover mission to investigate suspected collusion between inmates and correctional officers. In the process, he pits wits and will against two major gangs in prison. ICAC has received a tip from informant Liao Yu Ping that second-generation rich Cao Yuanyuan who is currently in jail is suspected of bribing prison supervisors and other correctional officers. Chief investigator Lu Zhi Lian decides to go deep into the tiger's den by pretending to be an inmate. In prison, former superintendent Huang Wenbin whom Lu Zhi Lian arrested himself is the head of the gang that's in opposition with Cao Yuanyuan's men. This proves to be an opportunity for Lu Zhi Lian to gain Cao Yuanyuan's trust. At the same time, Cheng De Ming, chief officer at ICAC, and Hong Liang, a director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, join hands in bringing about cooperation between Hong Kong and Mainland authorities to crack down on crime. Most exciting one yet
8.4 from me. This fourth installment is the most exciting one yet. There wasn't a moment of boringness a.k.a. yapping. The acting in here was chef's kiss. Plot was good without too much fillers.I liked the cast. I liked the acting. I liked the character's development. I mean there were a teeny weeny bit of plot armour but which show doesn't have it, rights.
There's a bit of gory bits as well and the ending was adorbs. I've been watching from Z Storm and they do get better. Except for Louis' hair. His hair was the best in the first movie.
