Cute funny but too repetitive
Well I had to edit my review because I forgot there were 36 episodes. Most of which are flashbacks, slow mo, slow walking…. Nothing that adds value to the story itself. Yeah ok one flashback once in awhile fine every episode…. It reminded me of ice fantasy where they showed the same flashback over and over againStarts off typical but cute. But then the other story arcs are a bit repetitive. They prob could have pulled a Netflix and did this all in 8-10 episodes..
It’s low budget considering there’s prob less 8 actors total, one room that gets redecorated etc. M
It adds in pieces of the main story between the arcs as per all drama. Mot really any side stories it’s better to skip the constantly flashbacks and slow mo movement.
The 2nd ML and FL is actually pretty well done. Their story was unique and caught me off guard.
Then the ending just confused me I had to look on Reddit and read other peoples interpretation.
Over it’s good just takes way too long to get to the point

Great, I loved the Secondary Couple!
WOW! let me start with I really enjoyed this drama. I was looking forward to it when I heard Dylan Wang was playing as the lead. Four episodes in and I was like Dylan WHO???? Dang Wei stole the show for me! I was completely obsessed with the second couple!!! I have to say I anticipated their scenes more than the main couple. True to most Chinese Drama's this puts your heart through an emotional rollercoaster! Yuchi (Wang's character) shows from start to finish just how strong and true his love is for LiuYing. I cried for them and screamed at the tv. Yuchi was so easy to love, His devotion is cherished, the lengths that he went to, to protect his beloved. - I had to put in here I kept psyching myself out every time I saw the side profile or back of Wang I was expecting it to be Luo Yunxi. I have no idea why. QianXun (Wei's character) I instantly fell for his handsome face and his ice cold Brooding demeanor only made me crave him more! He was not prepared for all the craziness of QingQing. I loved every interaction they had, their bond was definitely a slow burn! It was cute and funny. Once you get further into the show you realize there is a past between these two and for some reason they have forgotten it. Zhu ZanJin is in this show, he plays the immortal of fates. For me,This dude will forever be the perfect bad guy. As soon as I saw him I instantly cursed and knew his character was going to be trouble! lol Surprise, Surprise he definitely deserved all my cursing lol. he just plays a fantastic villain, they need to give this guy a good guy role soon, but no one can pull off a malicious smile quite like him! I really enjoyed this drama I finished it in about two weeks. The only thing I was a disappointed in was for the main couple, after all they had to endure I felt like their ending was a bit anticlimactic. but since my couple was the secondary couple it didn't really change how much I enjoyed it, I was just a tad upset for them. I definitely recommend this drama! The love story will make you swoon and the bromance will have you hysterical with laughter!Was this review helpful to you?
Dylan Wang is the best Dragon King ever!!!!
Love the fantasy storyline, love story, acting on male and female leads as the Dragon King and Liu Ying. They have great chemistry and connections. I laughed and I cried. Dylan Wang delivered another great performance. I like the entire cast and crew but Dylan and Bambi love story is why I fell in love with this drama. I didnt cried at all on the supporting roles love story but I cried my eyes out on Dragon King and Liu Ying love story. It was so heart-wrenching, torture and heart warming all at the same time. Immortals/Demons are very silly when they fell in love - Yuchi Longyan and Xue Qian Xun proved me right
What the palace guards said to Yuchi Longyan when they saw him again after probably a hundred year - lol
What Yuchi Longyan said when he was sick and bedridden - that sounded quite true

Story and Music
I enjoyed watching this shows because it brings be a lot of news things in other countries culture. I also enjoy watching this because I love the characters that are in this movie specially because of Dylan. I love how he act and I'm happy that he got the main role in this drama. As well I love how to story plot are going specially they are involving with 2 couples not only just one.From seeing 20 episodes so far, I am eager to continuing watching this drama and hope everyone have a happy ending:) Thank you to all of the actors, producers, directors, crews, etc for this AMAZING DRAMA THAT I COULD NEVER HAVE ASKED FOR! I APPRECIATE EACH ONE OF YOU! Please continuing to keep making these Chinese drama because we loved them!

Absolutely disappointing ending and cruel writers of the script
I couldn't bear to watch Yuchi Longyan have to live all these "lives" of the main character Liu Ying for so many years, it was too painful... ...and the beginning was so sweet for the two main characters.... when Dragon YL didn't know earthly life and was just getting to know.... I watched 10 episodes and the last episode, the rest of the episodes I read the synopsis...I agree with @Onelovestorie's comment below...."The stupid 'lifetimes' were so stupidly executed and the reasoning behind the whole charade was so ridiculous!" I have the impression that the writers of the script either have some psychopathic inclinations and enjoy making the heroes of their stories suffer, or they write under the influence of some kind of alcohol intoxication .... because I do not believe that you can invent such mental and physical torture for the characters sober. I think that 1 "lifetimes" would be enough, it's still too much to look at a loved one from the side, extending it to 4 "lifetimes" didn't make sense .... and also this idiotic ending, fatal for me and not giving the main characters a chance for a normal life after all these sufferings.... because where did they finally land in the realm of the spirit? So, in fact, they live somewhere out there without being material ... well, really, congratulations to the screenwriters for such a final sloppy thing that YL and LY funded ... After such scenarios, I don't want to watch the next fantasy dramas...

Worth it watch DW
This series grabbed mainly because of Dylan Wang!! however, after i got into it a bit more it was really good, the story line was a bit on the dragging side, but DW looked super duper HOT in all aspects of this series, especially in his general armor.The second ML and FL were really good, for a first in a series I think this ML was really excellent and he really complemented DW in every way, they were both serious aloof demons and both first time experiencing love and warmth from there partners. I especially loved the FL (bird demon) she brought life to the series and was really good there love story was really well played and the complemented each other. Not only that second ML was also a super duper Hot guy and I loved the interaction between him and DW.
I didn't particular like the main FL, she didn't come across really well, and her character was kind of flawed considering she kept dying and being brought back to life. i personally think the second FL was well suited for the Main lead as well.
DW love was really touching and strong, and his costumes as Dragon King was well played, the graphics were really good as well, I loved him in this series, I really hope he does a series in a general suit cuz the man looked super good, then again throughout this series DW was exceptional, I honestly don't think I would have watched this series he wasn't in it he deserves an award for pulling this off.
As always we have the Immortal fate who turned evil, he was evil in The Untamed and got killed by Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo and he was evil in this series and killed by Dylan Wang!! Three exceptional hot men killed the same guy (LOL) love that!!
Overall this series is really good, in terms of music/Dylan Wang/ Deng Wei/ and the graphics all involved.

They make a nice couple both perfect match .
for a long eps I'm feeling kind of bored sometimes so i prefer to read the synopsis at first .
36 of eps with 30 minutes duration plus 36.5 special eps ( at the ends finale together even only in spirit form its really fine <3 ) . besides the 2nd leads act their natural way make it more interesting
China always be beautiful . some dramas for stress relieve so Will keep support #bambizhu #dylanwang

I feel so disrespected.
What even is this?????? I'm so confused??!?!!!! Why would the scriptwriter/screenwriter decide to make a story like this?????!???!!?11 episodes into the drama and I wish I had stopped at episode 1. This drama really isn't for me. It has little elements from all of my favourite Chinese costume dramas, yet it somehow doesn't live up to their greatness (or even comes close). The story is all over the place, toooooooo predictable and ridiculously repetitive at the same time.
I don't care for the main couple. There love story is giving me a headache. Dragon King is doing so much for Liuying/Ah Yu, she'll never know until she gets her memory back. Then there's the Immortal of Fate who is sketchy is hell. And the secondary couple (Qingqing and Lord Xue) who are CARRYING this drama. All the comments on YouTube are about how cute they are and how people are only watching for their parts (I am people).
Then, the possibility of an unhappy ending is real. Like, WTF. WHAT IS THIS?!?!??!?

What a blunder!! Such a waste of talent, effort, money, and time. A big name like Dylan Wang end up in a rubbish role with no talent FL...will not get me further than 5 episodes. As hard as I try to go through 4 episodes...this one here definitely waste of my time. Dylan Wang didn't perform as a talented, gifted, handsome actor that everyone was talking about. They did him an awful makeup, his white hair didn't compliment him, with open button outfit he's more like a sloppy man tried to be sexy. Ok, I don't pass their first encounter (than 3 lifetimes) the maid FL lives more glamorously than average noble lady or us working girls in the modern day, she didn't do work as any maid would - she just hangout with the snake - obviously she wasn't a good worker (maid). Well, He obviously picked the wrong role and pay the price being trashed as the worst...it's really bad when he has to lift up to his reputation. 1000 years old dragon prince can't express his feeling to a mortal because his 'cold blood' dragoness - nobody would surely say that Dylan Wang should act as expressionless human-form dragon because we won't ever know how dragon can promise a marriage to a woman. It gets more ridiculous as the episode progress...Heard the comic version is much better than this drama....well, this adaptation is apparently misinterpreted.Was this review helpful to you?
don't waste your time
no offense for those that liked this drama, but this drama is just not my cup of tea. this is my take based on the 2 episodes that i've watched and regret that i even spent my time for this. It is so badly written that it's so ridiculously stupid, that it felt like total insult to human intelligence. How can a maid not doing any of a maid's normal job? How can a maid dressed like a rich young lady? How can a maid has a luxurious spacious bed chamber? And the male lead, my god, his acting, he's like a statue with no expression, just stand there being good looking. Everything goes wrong from the start
Dylan Wang is one of my favourite chinese actorr after Meteor Garden. I'm not saying that his acting was bad but it didn't quite set me from the first minute. This was my first drama relating to supernatural animal humans in chinese drama. To be honest, this concept is not for me. I didn't like the set design and the FL seemed quite cringely, foolish-kind type. The thought of a person sleeping cuddling with you who you thought was a snake was just creepy. The friend of the FL apparently was straight up dumb.I dropped in the 1st episode because its too cringey for me and i couldn't push myself to watch more of it.I love you Dylan
