Clutter of "I don't knows" sprang elsewhere with this season 2
First things first, I'm good with the cast because they add good actors and their acting is good enough for me. The storyline killed some of my brain cells because I don't know maybe because of the characters. First's character is really annoying that it might really get on the nerves of Waanjais like me. This series is really a hammer to break MewGulf and it's terrible because of the storyline. It's just a quick realization that in 7 years, how could you break up with someone you spent with those years facing any complications together along the way then just being wrecked into pieces by just a single clingy character. I don't like how passionate First's character into pursuing Type and that Ja's character is hesitant to express his feelings and even denying it. The OSTs are good. The ending is good and I'm fine with Type becoming a monk for a while but I think it didn't make sense. Overall, this series is not that good but I still appreciate it.Was this review helpful to you?

Still one of my favourites
It's almost 1 and a half year ago since I've watched Tharntype season 1..Although I Had so much time watching the 2 season,I never did..Idk why haha
But now I deared to,and I'm glad I did!
The 2 season showed me how much both Tharn and Type hast changed.
But in a good way. They lernad so much and grew together.
And I know they both are Not together in real Life, but for me it's Not important, they both did such a great job in both the 1 and the 2 season!
For it looked like real love.
~STORY~
The story contains different things compared to the 1 season, but I really liked that, cause it showed us different conflicts in realitationships and how some
people would solve them.
The story and especially the 2 season in general contains things some of US maybe have to deal with in real life.
I lke what they made of the second season
~ACTING~
I liked the actors really much and I would say they all did a wonderful job in their way.
I often felt, what the actors played or said, and for me this shows me,that they did a great job.
~MUSIC~
The music suited each scene and was really good!!
~ REWATCH VALUE~
I think that one day,I might want to watch this series again.
Cause it was a nice and cute experience and I also enjoyed the side couples!
~OVERALL~
Overall I'm giving Tharntype season 2 a 10/10,because they fullfilled what I was afraid to continue with watching the 2 season.
They didn't disappoint me,and now Tharntype hast another "ending" in my head, but maybe a better one:)

"Emotionally wreaking life decisions, a story of truth, struggles and indecisions"
This story told truth that love between two males isn't as it is always portrayed as rainbows and sweet moments. The struggles of the characters will make you realize that it isn't just about love that matters and mostly, it isn't just about gender identifications. It spoke and slammed reality as it is. Love isn't just about having your vows said but also life indecisions and selflessness. The characters portrayed their roles well, hence they owned it and the story is theirs to tell. The mental confusions in a way people outside their community hasn't seen or them talking about it is the real deal. The story is brave for being the first one to speak about it. We will realize that the lines between them and ours has been blurred, they're like us straight people too, in terms of relationship decisions and uncertainty. Certainty doesn't just lie on how long you've been together, the way the characters changed perceptions in life from season 1 really makes sense, and gave justice to the truth. It's just true to life that it is what makes TharnType the series unique than any other. Was this review helpful to you?

Building aspectatives...and deflating them a little!
After being in company of Tharn and Type for many hours, episodes and following their story from the beginning, their initial hatred tension turning in deep love step by step, pride by pride, I sincerely was especting not a different final in itself, but truthfully I would have preferred that Type remained same old Type till the end...for just a tiny change has been able to change the mood of the entire story! A love that was soaring like a prideful balloon full of happiness alas! encountered a tree branch at the end and the balloon deflated! Was this review helpful to you?

great plan, modest result
1: Story. The first thing I wanna say is that I liked the idea of the plot: a series where you want to show the routine of a couple so a life between love, work and friends. That's what we can see in the first seven episodes, right? Too much, that's boring! The thing is that it isn't due to the plot but to the number of episodes in which nothing happened (except for Gulf's problem at work). While watching the show I felt for example that Fiat wasn't doing anything except for flirting and this until episode ten (of twelve)! Why didn't it happen at least an episode before? Also how about the side couples? I'd have preferred more scenes with the three beautiful side couples that we got. In conclusion, there was a bad time management.
Secondly, I wanna talk about the two main characters of Tharn and Type because, honestly, I was expecting a better development of them. In my opinion, Type is the one who has changed a little bit and we can see it because of the moment where he punched his boss to defend his boyfriend. This means that he is much more confident and less uncomfortable saying that he is gay. I'm sorry but I have to say that Tharn is still too much jealous and his reaction after Fiat's kiss is exaggerated, he is still too immature. Talking about the couple I can see more passion in their actions and eyes while having s*x and I appreciate it but how about other situations? I want to mention two different events: Type's problem at work and Type's revenge against Fiat. In the first one, although Tharn tried to discuss the problem with his partner (and this is the development of Mew's character) because he was seeing him in a bad mood, Type refuses to talk to him at first. In the second one, Type acts precisely as he acted seven years before with Lohng. In both of these situations Type refuses to talk to Tharn. Why can't they still talk to each other after seven years of relationship?
Lastly, I wanna ask: why the behaviour of Type's father is still the same as seven years before?
2: Acting.
I'll start talking about Mew and Gulf because they are good as always. I've also said it before mentioning hot scenes although they're good in all the scenes. In particular, I want to talk about the scene where Tharn was crying after the 'we have to take a break' and Type's crying scene at the beach after calling Tharn: both of them are done so well! Honestly, I am a little bit disappointed in the acting of the side couples' actors because the scenes seem to be unnatural. It hurts so bad because I liked those side couples!
3: Music.
I haven't much to say about the music. The ost is good but I preferred the first season's ones.
4: Rewatch value.
Because the first seven episodes are almost the same, I think that I won't rewatch all of them but I'll only choose to watch my favourite scenes another time (P.S. I don't consider the rewatch value in my final rating).
P.S. An important thing I wanna add is the fact that in my opinion, WE EXPECTED TOO MUCH from this second season that's why a lot of us are disappointed.
thank you for reading my review :)

Relatively weak story for Tharntype, too little of Champ and Khumpol
The story of Tharntype 2 is no doubt weaker than that in the first Season. This can probably only be expected. There are only a few ways to continue the love story: (1) introduce a third party, (2) show how the realities of life after their graduation could cause a bit of a rift between our main characters, (3) a bit of each of the above. So Season 2 ends u, where Tharn and Type are concerned, largely being the two of them fighting (for no apparent reason at times) and then making up (+ out), fighting and then making up (+ out), fighting and then making up (+out). It isn't that bad for hardcore fans of Tharntype. The production is rather slick, and there is no lack of kissing scenes. The introduction of Fiat into the story is somewhat lame--it seems too obviously calculated to create a crisis in Tharn and Type's relationship, but it is unconvincing and even self-contradictory. Fiat appears to really like Type at some point though we know from the start whom he will be shipped with.
One good thing about this series is the side couple, Champ and Khunpol. They are really lovable (especially Khunpol and that smile of his), but we don't get enough of them. I wonder why. They are so cute as a couple that I wish there had been more screen time for them to delve into their respective inner worlds and back stories. The first five episodes would have been better with some development of Champ and Khunpol. The already weak story of Tharntype only really gets going from around Episode 6, and I would have appreciate some Champ and Khunpol moments, possibly some flashbacks into their university days when they shared a room and Khunpol had a crush on Champ.
Part of the charm of Season 1 (despite some rather toxic behavior on both Tharn's and Type's parts) is the real sense of crisis in their relationship. The story of Lhong, the villain, and what he has done to Tar (Tharn' ex) is much more compelling than the non-threat that Fiat obviously is in Season 2. Season 2 pales in comparison. Otherwise it might be more well-liked.

Season 1 is must better than season 2,its worst!!
On season 1 must better than season 2. Season 1 from episode 1 until 12 we enjoy how the character growing together, acting also best. Script also good, spesialy on episode 11 12 make me crying. Acting maximal,,,I think when the title is 7 years its will be much better cause they are literally staying together for long time. And break up just like that? After 7 years. On season 1 much better when the plot lhong story make them break up. On season 2 break up only misunderstandings type kissing? I just huh? Just like that and break up? I know acting Gulf is best but plot of story not so so,,,,
My apologies when my review not satisfied cause its only my opinion. Season 1 is better to rewatch again. And until now i have watched season 1, third time. And still crying when they are break up.

Some good laughs but didn't sell.
"TharnType: The Series" garnered acclaim during its release year; however, revisiting it in 2024 reveals a somewhat disappointing experience. Perhaps the series' reception was influenced by the demographic and the state of BL genre development in 2019, which may have been less mature compared to later years. The casting and storyline, while adequate, fail to leave a lasting impression, lacking the depth necessary to captivate viewers who have since been exposed to more refined offerings within the genre. Despite its initial acclaim, the series falls short in providing substantial character development beyond surface-level exploration, particularly in its handling of conflicts and narrative pacing.
Furthermore, the editing issues and excessive focus on intimate scenes detract from the overall viewing experience, making it difficult for the series to strike a balance between romantic elements and a cohesive storyline. While "TharnType: The Series" may have resonated with audiences in its time, it ultimately struggles to hold up to the evolving standards of the BL genre, leaving much to be desired for viewers seeking a more nuanced and engaging narrative.

I couldn’t even finish every episodes of this season properly, the duration that took way tooo long made me bore easily. Too many cliches things and problems that solved simply made me wonder how stupid the script was.
I didn’t buy any dumb conflicts that showed fatuously.
Oh God, I watched this series satisfactorily after episode Ten. It feels like I was eating a donut, only enjoy on every sides but emptiness in the middle.

Could have been better!!!
I like TT1, but TT2 has a lot of problems. Sure this season 2 was supposed to be about their post-life after college, and it was nice to see how they navigate their life after that, but the unnecessary dramas were a little too much and there was just more angst than anything. The plot wasn't there, and we just see how they didn't really progress their adult relationship. For instance, Tharn got jealous so much and Type was still the same; really impulsive and gets aggressive fast. I understand that is just Type's personality, and he did make some progress later on, but the whole Fiat hitting on Type is just overdone. It was not ideal to see Fiat doing that just to break up TT's relationship. I think they could have a plot where TT went through their trouble by coming out to the public and having some people disapprove of their marriage; then using their voice to support LGBTQ? Like do something around that, but I guess the writer loves some drama!! lol. Overall, I'm glad I watched it during airing time because I would not be able to make it to the last episode!!!!Was this review helpful to you?
The same story once again... nothing new to see
I don't think this second season was as bad as people seem to say, but it's true that they didn't give us anything new. It's like they did a copy-paste of the first season, and they just added some new characters. The plot is exactly the same. So it feels more like they did this as a fan-service instead of honestly wanting to continue their story. For me the best part of this second season is the comedy. Techno is as hilarious as ever, and I'm so glad that Khlui is still the same as in college. I lost it when they added a note saying "don't imitate this at home" while Khlui was trying to hear through the wall.
STORY
You will think that after 7 years this couple has changed, and that the fragile trust in each other disappeared. Ha! They should take notes of Cir and Phugun's relationship. They said that these two have been dating for less years than Tharn and Type (and they both are younger), yet they showed a level of maturity and trust in their relationship that it's nowhere to be found in Tharn and Type's.
In the first season Type was the jealous one in the relationship. As soon as someone approached Tharn, he would misunderstand and accuse Tharn of cheating on him showing how he doesn't trust his boyfriend.
In this second season Tharn is the one jumping into conclusions and accusing Type of cheating stating that he can't trust him.
And in both, there is someone behind doing some "tricky" things.
In the first season it was Lhong, because he was obsessed with Tharn.
In the second season it's Fiat, because he is obsessed with Type.
Both of them have a pretty similar background that explains their behavior (but it doesn't mean that they get excused for it) and although Fiat didn't do bad things compared to Lhong, I felt like Lhong's character was way more needed in the story than Fiat's.
Tharn's family is as lovely and supportive as always.
Type's family... his mom is a sweetheart who is always siding with her son. And his dad isn't that bad. Yes, he is constantly saying how he doesn't like the fact that his son is gay and how he wants Type to break up with Tharn and get married with a woman. However if you pay attention all what he does is talk. He never threatens Type, nor does something to mess up their relationship. Maybe he isn't happy about his son's decision regarding his love life, but he doesn't try to ruin his son's happiness. He just annoys him but he never takes action, so for me Type's dad is a pass (and his scenes are pretty funny).
There are 3 support couples but they don't have a lot of screen time. I feel disappointed over the fact that in the first season they made it look like Khlui and Seo would get together in the future, yet Seo's character only appeared twice and obviously there was no development. I also feel disappointed that we didn't have any Tum and Tar plot. They didn't develop their story in LBC2 and they didn't even mention them on TharnType 2.
As a side note, I would love to see a spin off about Phugun and Cir. I want to know how they met, how did they fall in love, and how these two different types of human beings ended up together. While Cir looks grown, serious, and mature, Phugun has a childish taste, seems innocent, and he is very naive. I didn't have enough of them tbh.
CAST
Once again the acting was good. I feel like none of the actors from the first season improved. They did a nice job in the first one and they repeated this nice job in the second one. Could it have been better? Of course. Everyone is able to improve on anything. But their acting was acceptable.
The new cast didn't do a bad job neither, but I still prefer Kaownah as the villain. Lhong is one of my favorite TharnType characters, and that's probably because his acting job was really good.
MUSIC
The music is like the plot, a copy-paste. They added 1 or 2 new songs but that's it. And I have to say that in several scenes there was a background music that reminded me to one of BTS' songs, to the point that I'm not sure if they got some "inspiration" from it.
REWATCH
I've rewatched the first season a few times but I don't know if I will ever rewatch this second one. At the end of the day it's basically the same story and, as I've mentioned above, I prefer to see Lhong as the villain.
