If you're into blind romantic male leads, this one's for you!
As someone who's married to a handsome, blind man of my own, I still often scour the corners of the web looking for short films, series, movies or any type of media related to handsome, blind men and you bet this is possibly my most re-watched series so far because of Su Nian Qin. It's special to me because I finished watching it exactly 2 months before I met my husband. I've always been attracted to handsome, blind men since high school so this series really inspired and cemented my resolve to look for and meet someone similar to the main character, Su Nian Qin.I agree, that although his blindness is a bit cliched without any prosthetics or contact lenses, Evan Lin makes up for it through his slight gestures and movements. I appreciate the way he would move the back of his hands when looking for a chair to sit on, as well as having a talking watch and reading a braille book, but the telescopic cane wasn't very realistic , since it's too flimsy to use outdoors . The white cane would have been more appropriate, but I guess it's the director's choice to match the stylish character.
The story itself is about a bubbly, manic-pixie girl falling for the brooding, lonely, mysterious hottie who also happens to be blind, and all the ups and downs of navigating their relationship. That concept would have been a good story in itself but the second part needed to happen so the drama, including the tear-jerking moments, would build up even further and strengthen their relationship. There were some loose ends and although I liked the supporting characters, it would have been better if they didn't dwell on them for too long.
Give this show a chance and watch it with an open mind. If you're not into love stories then perhaps the music and gentleness of the scenes will be worthy of your time. I'm just glad my husband is not as seriously brooding as Nian Qin.

The downfall of this drama
This drama serie is unbelievably refreshing as the cool summer breeze. The actors did an amazing job.. the storyline is amazing as well! I enjoyed every single scene as it had value to the plot until the last few episodes. The character's personality went downhill, specifically Nian Qin.Everything was perfectly sweet, but then he s*xually assaulted Wu Yan by forcefully hugging her without consent and her not doing anything about it. Based on Wu Yan's education, she definitely knew what was wrong. That scene was painfully disappointing as that wasn't within Nian Qin's personality range.
Not to mention that when they had a little boy as a guest after they got married was just confusing. An autistic boy would never end up in that absurd situation irl. Nian Qin's childish behaviour caught me off guard as presented in the first episodes, he was never the type of person to become immature. I understand the clinginess towards his wife, but that was really too much. His reaction towards the autistic boy made me so angry. What happened to the gentle teacher that adored children? "Boys don't cry." Damn, I wanted to slap him through my screen lol.
It wasn't just Evan's character that made me angry and confused but also Peng's. Her imagining her dead friend at the very end? Am I the only one who thought that we didn't get a satisfactory closure on that case since it was too late? Her diagnosis was too rushed and just put on the story just because for the sake of it??
With that in mind, I still recommend this drama serie. The acting, music, lighting, photo, story, lines are spot on! I personally loved the train station scene the best! That was just romantic AF.

Some Plot Hole
Ibcan say this is a good romance drama especially for first half drama. but there is so many plot hole near the end...the plot twist about cheng yin, waw that's very unpredictable and giving me shock, i think they gonna make this as a bomb to give more dramatic effect for drama, see she even got ptsd because of that..but until last minute they never tell about that again. hey why did you make a creepy twist if u can't make a proper closure.
-part when Yin Ji identity reveal to public...so what??
-our fl suddenly sick near end without any explanation about her condition and suddenly in next second she wake up and bla bla bla
once again this is a good drama but too much repetition scene with same vibe but in the end the ending seems rush. Until in last five minutes of drama i checking number episodes to make sure if this is really last episode.
-whats wrong with lift in this drama? Not once or twice it suddenly stop, bit three times! Or more?

Wonderful
To be honest I’ve seen this drama twice but despite this it’s just as wonderful the second time around. It’s got a great script, stunning music and a cast that nailed it. Evan Lin did a superb job as the ML and I look forward to seeing his performances in the future. I also found that they’d handled vision impairment and autism with a great deal of empathy and understanding and depicted them in a way that showed that a great deal of research had been done prior to filming. All in all it was an exceptional series and well worth watchingWas this review helpful to you?
Just watch it, it's too good to get ignored
I expected nothing from this drama,I was too hesitant to start this one when it's was airing idk why I did that but I kinda regret it.I really thought it's some cliche, cringey drama without even watching the trailer, and I was so surprised when I started watching it
Ep1 I don't have anything to say ARE THEY SURE IT IS HIS DEBUT WTH HOW CAN HE BE SO GOOD AT ACTING LIKE WOW
Wan peng I really liked her in when we were young it's one my favourite Chinese drama of all time after that I didn't much of her dramas but crush would be the drama I would never ever forget it surprised me so much
I didn't know it can be relatable and man how yan Jun literally took a blind charecter for his debut I am gonna praise him for that.
Even tho there is some things that made me think isn't it too my like labelling stalking as love and later on I realised it is his psychological belief that everyone leaves him ,the thing with this he portrayed that very well
Wan peng's charecter having hallucinations and stuff it felt they are very good
Plot
I think its quite good very well written as far as I know they did some changes from the book as in the book they said he would stay blind
Music the piano in the background did good because I never heard this kind bgm in any other drama
OSTs are quite good too
It is a very good drama just take a step you guys will enjoy it and some times be patient with that cause u will annoyed but it's quite good show if I had a chance I would re watch it but I just want to forget the plot so I can watch this again.

Gem of 2021 drama
This is my very first review in my life. As I watched this drama so many times, I memorized all scenes even most of sentences what Nian Chin and Wu Yan said to each other. What my surprise in here is that the main hero here Evan Lin is new and this drama is his first main role. He is acting very good. I also love Wang Peng because she is cute.
Upon my own experience, I can see clearly how Nian Chin feels when he comes to love a cute girl for his first and forever love because his character is similar to my husband ???
Let me give my big applause to all team members of crush for creating such a good drama at all time ???

Fantastic drama
I have a sub to Viki and this show made me get a sub to IQIYI! Dang it! I knew from the trailer this is a show to watch! It sort of reminds me of “Someone Like You”.Storyline - a bit slow but I liked it. I took a break before they broke up because I did not want to see them break up. Glad they did in a way because I think when they finally got back together they were more mature. Just wish they would write it in that she did not turn him down so much. But I did like it and it is one I would watch once or twice a year. Love the ending. Gave you a lot to enjoy and closed off good. I was a bit shocked how they kind of threw in the story of the friend dying and then she had a physiological problem with thinking her friend was still alive…hmm it was weird how they ended it. It was almost like an afterthought. That is my only hang up for this drama. So I gave the storyline 9.5/10 because they could have spent time in ending it better. Or just not have put it in at all.
Acting/Cast - loved both leads! They both did really well. All others did really well also.
Music - the music is fantastic! I loved it all! Hope the soundtrack comes out on Amazon soon because I will be buying it!
Rewatch - YES! I loved this story. It was a bit different from most dramas. Like I said above it will be one I watch once or twice a year!

1st half of the story is a gem !
This drama is really cute and the way it was filmed gives it the feeling of Hollywood movies of 90s (ref to Sleepless in Seattle). It is your classical love story but It also approaches issues that we don't really speak about in Chinese dramas. Evan Lin is stunning in his role and the FL acted well her character. Wu Yan is refreshing, bold, fearless, kindhearted but also childish and hot tempered.
The music that is a central part of this drama to vehicle the different characters emotions is also beautiful. The dialogues and quotes are well written and make most of the exchanges between ML and FL very heartwarming. You are hooked from the start and can't help to fall in love with main characters ... until ....
Unfortunately, the 2nd part of the drama started to fall out and i didn't like the reactions of the FL to create misunderstandings, sad parts in the story .... it didn't feel right and even idiotic.
The 2nd lead couple's story isn't strong enough and could be removed of the scenario without making any difference in the overall story. That's too bad, as the scenario could have been better to create characters with more complex emotions and connexions.
Overall, the drama is worth watching ... but you will feel a difference between its first and second half. There are some issues in the script that leave you disconcerting.

" Thank you for finding me " A good watch !
And thank god that I find this series.I like this drama as its vibes are really cool.
Everything is about this show is soothing to soul.
I like both main leads. Wang peng is one of my favourites. But the Evan Lin's acting is damn good. Although its his debut in acting.
It is not typical c drama.
This show build up gradually. The character development is slow and subtle. I really like it.
Good styoryline..............................
Good casting.
Good acting.

A really slow start but was decent, just not realistic
When I said slow start, it literally dragged over 50% of the episodes until the story progresses to the next level. I was almost convinced that the story will be a plateau with the leads falling in love real slow then happy ending. But around the 60% of the episode, it finally reached the climax and you can suddenly see decent character developments of the characters.Because of this, maybe the flow and plot was strange, as if it was rushed towards the end of the series. They really included all romance clichés into the remaining episodes which some parts I find it really unrealistic...
Especially if I encountered such obsessive guy (almost a handsome stalker)... I would run away from him as much as I can. It is just not practical and I get it if it is for a drama because "ideal romance that make girls swoon".
The part on the mental well being of the female lead also got me confused as there's no closure to what happened after that. And the part on the reveal at the last 20mins of the series that resolved just like this? It was ok if you just focused on their acting and music but those plot holes! I can't help but to wonder at all times.
But overall its an OK drama to watch when you are multi-tasking or bored. I was hooked on the OST, it was really good and meaningful, and the acting of the actors and actresses.
