!MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!

Main couple? If you've seen the previous seasons, it's basically the same concept; they break up, FL got locked in a room and ML saved her, new love rival, but with the campus setting.
At least the female had learned how to stand up for herself

Side characters are more interesting, i really like A-Hoon and Ji-Seong.
A-Hoon is a cutie, who makes the drama more comedic. I really like his interaction with Ji-Seong.
Ji-Seong and A-Ra, i didn't expect them to be together after what happen in season 2. Same with Seung-Hyun and YuNa, i never expect this couple would happen.
Seol and Ju-Ho, after 2 seasons they finally together... At first, i don't agree with how Seol making Ju-Ho experience unrequited love. But seeing how she used to pursue Ju-Ho. I think he deserves it. I was waiting for either Young-Dae/Ju-Ho to have a kiss scene with Seol. But instead of with Seol, we got a scene of them accidentally kiss each other.

Tbh Hyewon is still lacking in terms of expression. She basically had the same look from the beginning to the end. Well, sometimes she smiled a bit. It's still acceptable, after all this drama were her first work.
As for Wonpil and Hyunsuk, they pull off their role.

The crossover with Light on Me and Be My Boyfriend's character was funny. I mean... before i checked the actors profile i didn't realize that some cast of LOM had appeared in Best Mistake too. Especially Choe Chan Yi, i really liked him as Ji-Seong ever since i watch this drama. But i didn't realize he's the same guy who played as Da-On.

I don't really notice the music
But the quality/cinematography was good.

However i can't help but think that this drama should've ended with the 2nd season. I feel like this season only filled with cringey draggy plot.

Overall, it's worth watching if you only want to see your bias's acting. Just remember to watch it with 2× speed, throw the logic away, and enjoy the ride!

Waste of time

I don't understand the reason to make a third season if it's gonna recycle the same situations, the main couple breaking up again is so annoying, since season 2 I do think they shouldn't be together and now I reaffirm it, this webdrama didn't need a second season nor a third one. They keep adding idols actors but their characters are so boring, even repeat the roles of the sad one side love guy, and the villain girl from the previous season. Yeondu being locked in a room for the third time is enough, creativity left the chat. I hoped to see more maturing stories since the characters are now in college but they wasted the chance.

I'd like they focus on their other webdramas that have potential for more seasons, like Light On Me

Not Worth It

Frankly speaking, I was excited upon the announcement of season 3, but after watching the teaser, I was left with utter discouragement and was therefore not expecting anything highly from this series; my excitement diminished. With that being said, as someone who wants closure and hates to leave things unfinished, I caved through this season despite the flaws and cringey moments that this series brang.

We see a timelapse of the characters moving onto university life and a series of mysteries that carry the entire plot of the show; the most prominent ones are Yeondu X Hyunho and Seol X Junho. To my dismay, the concepts of this season seem to be about a dejavu of season 2: stupidly throwing in additional and unnecessary love-triangles rivalry, stalking, fake friends, and old toxic romances. The writers should focus on the characters and their development into a new environment, but I can not help but think this is just yet another immature high-school story.

Yeondu - I enjoyed her slight development as she is now able to speak her mind (for the most part) and is able to stand up for herself, but she is still as naive as she were in the previous seasons

Ahra - Many people were bothered by her character due to the fact that she was easily forgiven. Whilst I can understand a bit from the writer's perspective and the timeframe of where this season is set (2 years later, I believe), it is kind of far-fetched for her to now be part of Yeondu's friend group and act as nothing has ever happened.

Yuna - Other than the main protagonist, she was the character that bothered me the most with her stalkerish behaviour and inconsideration of how others may feel. Whilst this drama is light and for entertainment, I cannot help but feel more agitated about her character than the actual protagonist.

Seunghyeon - I have nothing against his character, but the way the writers had to force his character to be with someone and all of a sudden change how he feels towards someone in a span of an episode are beyond my amazement.
I was interested in how his character moves around the idea of rejecting a persistent and somewhat creepy girl and to prove a point that not all romances blossom and work out. But this drama seems to reject this idea.

Overall, it just seemed like the rest of the cast were there to act as fillers and none of their narratives developed in the slightest.

If you are coming from the previous seasons, it is just best to leave this drama at season 2 as everything, including the ending, seems to be just a repetition of that. For 16 episodes, it was really unnecessary to drag the whole series out for that long.
Season 1 is the best as it lives up to its title, but the others were utter disappointments.

Cute but repeats elements of past seasons

It was adorable and high energy! The episodes were short and easy to binge. However, the last season of the show had a lot of elements copied from previous seasons.
The FL grows as a person, which is nice! She has a backbone this season. I love that some of the expected or hoped for relationships come to fruition. Not all of them happen as you would expect.
The show sometimes gets a bit confusing in the timeline.
Overall, it is a light and fluffy show. It is an easy watch. Just don’t expect to want to watch season 3 a second time.

A little disappointed.

I'm quite disappointed by how they made the story line. Did they only make this kind of storyline to grow their friend group or to change ways when it came to their relationship?? I didn't like how Yeon Du and Hyeon Ho kept breaking up and getting back together again. They broke up thrice, Both of them should've seperated ways. I have finished the 3 seasons since Monday and tuesday. Although, in season 3, I wanted Yeon Du to be with Ye Seok badly, they seemed to be more compatible. Ah Ra in season 2 had the best character, for me. I liked how she played her role, it really suit her. I kinda like Best Mistake because it made me feel almost every expression I could, I laughed most of the time. I felt really flustered when it came to Do Ye Seok. I admired Do Ye Seok the most. Do Ye Seok best boyyy<3

NO NEED FOR S3

PLOT

I still don't understand the decision over a s3. Was it to show a university environment? If so it wasn't needed at all. The plot is the same. Again with a love triangle where clearly the main female character isn't interested romantically to someone else except her bf/ex bf.

I feel sad over Hyun Ho that was constantly choosing her and his only motive for his life was her. He was let down from every adult around him and criticized when he literally tried his best to change academically. So he based his willingness on one person. About Yeon Doo I'm glad she matured enough to deal on her own with unfair ppl. Although she needs to work on expressing what's bothering her on the relationship.

SIDE COUPLES

Everything was predictable. Sorry to say that but I couldn't feel the chemistry between the side couples. I think that they could invest more to the side stories by showing more intimacy between them characters. Being friends with others their affection was way better. They were a good group of friends.

The Repetitive Misogyny of Second Female Leads

When it comes to Asian dramas, especially school web dramas, the saboteur second female lead is no new plot device.

When it appeared in season 1 of Best Mistake, I was pretty forgiving because it made sense — the new girl joins the group and the old character feels like they're getting pushed out. When it appeared in season 2 of Best Mistake, it was a little annoying but I felt like the main characters and their high school lives still had that light-hearted nostalgia. With season 3 kicking off with YD and HH broken up and with the addition of even more characters, it just felt like this season was rehashing the same old plots it had done before. The FL being locked in a dark room, being left on the side of a lonely street, being the subject of false rumors and photos...it's just all so overdone, even just in previous seasons. And having all this in the light of many second male leads being their typical soft and caring and heartbroken selves...it just highlighted the problems with how differently women and men are written.

And so, the plot itself just felt very annoying, with many of it being triggered by these second female leads or being self-inflicted to make drama for the sake of drama, whether it was a miscommunication or simply questionable decisions. Even though the tertiary characters had less of this, there were far too many love triangles. I'm actually someone who typically enjoys them and the commentary about different ways to love — but that's only if done well. With all these characters starting to act very similarly and just being so bland, it felt unnecessary and like lazy writing. Love triangles are fine but there just has to be more to the characters than that.

Even with all my criticisms, I appreciate the vibe and the style of the show. Visually it's bright and fun, and I loved seeing my favorite characters from Light On Me in a cameo.
