my ultimate comfort show that never fails to bring me joy
first time writing a review but this deserves one..honestly this show is one of my favourite shows of all time, it is pure comfort!all the actors are really good, the music in the show is amazing i cannot stop listening to it. there is not a single part of this show that i dislike (other than that cringe rap battle lmao). i would truly recommend this to anyone! especially if you enjoy cute and wholesome romance.
i promise you it will not disappoint, and if it does i will be truly shocked as this had me hook(ed) from the first episode :') i have re-watched this multiple times since it ended as i am in denial it's over, i never want to leave my chinzhilla and student council boys.
10/10 for everything involved with this show!

Not just a story about highschool romance, but also about friendship and memories.
Being in my 20's, I hardly ever watch stories about highschool romance anymore. The older I get, the less entertaining and relatable they become. For me to fully enjoy a story about teenagers, it has to give me very strong high school nostalgia... and that was EXACTLY what My School President did for me. In the last episode, during their last song and goodbyes, I was actually sobbing remembering my school days and my old high school gang. If like me, you're someone who has warm and fond memories of your high school days and your teenage years, this show is definitely for you!!!I went into this show bc I wanted to see some GeminiFourth before My Love Mix-up came out, just to check out their acting and lemme say... THERE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN A BETTER CASTING CHOICE FOR IDA AND AOKI THAN THESE TWO!!!!! NOW I'M MORE EXCITED THAN EVER FOR THIS SERIES!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
(P. S.: Fourth genuinely has one of the brightest smiles I've ever seen.)

really great storyline even tho its a general genre
Well, the series is pretty interesting and the desperate tries to help someone you like is really an attempt to get someone who dislikes you to change their views and like you. The themes addressed is well perceived and shows that life is not always beautiful. However, the music genre makes the series even more enjoyable. The 3 ships are really interesting and the series totally worth the watch. Comedy, Youth, Slice of life, Music, Romantic genres give me the feels, its a different feeling from those 'typical' romance school life series. Was this review helpful to you?

Heartwarming coming of age romcom series
I really like that the lead actors for Gun and Tinn are the same age as each other as well as with the characters they play in the series and that the teens get to exist as teens rather than as cyphers for grown ups with adult soap operatics overlayed on them. Their youth allows for them to be silly during humorous ways in a way that's endearing that's also balanced by each actor's innate screen presence. Their individual characters and collective chemistry carries the series well. It's always good when the main characters are the draw. The writing shows deep familiarity with both teen school campus drama and rom com tropes and gives the characters good definition that can be understood even underneath the green acting skills of their young, but capable actors and doesn't rely on misunderstandings to pad out the story or manufactured angst. The drama unfolds from the flow of the story that takes place throughout the final high school year of teens which shifts gradually shifts in tone as the anxiety of the impending competition and future heightens at the cusp of graduation and adulthood.
It was interesting they did a perspective shift with the 1st ep from Tinn's pov and then 2nd ep from Gun's and then evenly afterward. I LOVE both guys know their own feelings immediately. Gun having had his crush for years and Tinn immediately picking up on it as soon as Gun let slip that he's been flirting with him and they have their eye connection. The healthy communication between Gun and Tinn is so refreshing, they don't let misunderstandings or jealousies fester. They talk it out and are loving and affectionate. We never see Gun's parents together, but from context they were probably loving like Tinn's parent's. The calm, sweet relationship is a lovely base for their coming of age struggles of
Not to say this show escapes from the angry, petulant, emotionally volatile guy archetype which they pour into Win. I really dislike that character and that ship as well. The writing did try to show he had a loving side with how he's caring with Sound, but the acting did not come through in reconciling the two sides, let alone add more. Sound's actor was better able to convey vulnerability beneath his superiority complex and the writing helped to with him making the deal with Tinn to go to get treatment for his hand.
Tiw is the representative that asks the questions from the audience. It would have been more interesting to give his pairing with Por the screen time of the secondary romance. Tiw has the most thankless job of helping Gun, Tinn, and the entire music club. He always steps up and never even got to go swim with his ducky float. So when Por who has a bit of similarity in setting up and cooking for the others getting to spend time with each other being the two that showed up and Por noticing Tiw spending all the time taking photos of others on their last day of school, it's could have been better developed sooner.
It's wonderfully done how the realization of the main characters sexualities to themselves and to their family is understood and comes with the beautiful vocal support and allyship that queer characters and the very real community they represent deserve to see and feel modeled in the media. The reaction shots from the secondary characters are great. The wish redeeming scene was the best use of the product placement. It made sense they were desperate for any drink, and the raw and brutal break down and the apologies was a powerfully moving scene. On the other hand the harmful forced outing by bl shippers was glossed over and could have been handled better. Some plots beats got lost or were rushed like the implied financial issues of Gun's mom and all the pair the spares plots except for Yak.
The cinematography, editing, and directing were all competently done which is such a relief to my eyes. I never felt the pacing was slow, a lot happens every episode starting with the first one to further the story and to further the relationship. The way they reach the points where imagination ends and sweet reality begins is so lovely. All in all this drama is a definite recommend to watch and rewatch as well.

Just perfection. I have so many feelings about this show it's not even funny. I'm in my early thirties and the thought of watching a show about high schoolers was not really appealing to me, but I kept hearing about how good this drama was. Within one episode I understood, and somehow it kept getting better as time went on. I usually go for shows with more mature themes, and this was a breath of fresh air for me. I didn't need violence, sexual content, language, etc to keep me engaged. These characters and the magic between them is so much more than enough.
Gemini and Fourth have amazing chemisty. I would watch them do anything together. Their roles in MSP are so comforting and they truly make each other shine. There were times when I was literally kicking blankets and screaming because of how cute and wholesome it was. The side characters are so endearing as well. There is a lot of depth and heart to it. If you took out all the BL elements it would STILL stand as a good show about family and platonic love.
My one complaint would be that Gunn's shyness with kissing was never addressed. I don't mind a fake-out kiss a couple of times, it just went on for so long and was never addressed (was he just nervous, or was he scared? Did he have a complex about kissing? etc). Outside of that, absolute perfection and the music was great too, which is a cherry on top since in a lot of Thai dramas the music element feels forced or shoed in.
This isn't just a good BL or a good drama, it's one of the best shows PERIOD that I've seen in a really long time and I would recommend it to anyone of any age!

such an adorable fluff-fest of a show that you WILL go straight to hell if you hate it ??
my school president just... hit EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN BOX for me. it's one of the most adorable, fun, most full-of-heart-&-soul shows i've seen in a while, & i wouldn't trade the experience of watching it in real time & waiting for episodes every week & having fun in the comments for anything.it's a show that'll take you right back to your nostalgic high school days & have you reminiscing about a perfect first love that never even happened (???) & it explores love & friendship & family & youth, and... you should just really go watch it right now!
music is so fucking good i have EVERY SINGLE SONG on my spotify playlist, direction & cinematography is **chef's kisses** and the actors are the most adorable bunch of kids you'll ever come across with chemistry so good they'll have you squealing like a little kid because of the most innocent touches.
GO WATCH THE GODDAMN SHOW!

Despite some production misses, truly a cute, fluffy and entertaining platonic BL
This BL series is centred on the relationship of Tinn (the study body president of the high school) and Gun (the head and lead singer of the school music club). The story had some elements of enemies-to-lovers as well as opposites-attract-each-other trope but goes far beyond all of that. Far from those stereotypical narrative devices, it managed to surprise me with the characters evolution and choices. Despite some of the storylines being a bit non-sensical and some of the humour over-the-top, it never bothered me, I was truly entertained by the scenario which remained overall quite light and heartfelt.I enjoyed the cast. The two main leads had a good chemistry together: their relationship was super pure and platonic but still interesting to follow. They were super cute together and had some nice emotional moments. I would have loved to feel a bit more the attraction and pining between them, but there was not a lot of room in the script for intense passion: clearly the objective was to focus on fluff and wholesomeness and they successfully conveyed that. The secondary cast was okay overall: some were more average than others and nobody really peaked up my interest.
The drama would have benefited of a sharper editing: there were quite a few redundant scenes which are sometimes dragged a bit the story as well as some unnecessary and quite repetitive flashbacks. There was also a quite soapy feel to the production: it felt amateurish at time but fortunately in an non-deterrent way.
The music scenes were sometimes a total miss for me: there was a lack of quality in their producing (lip-syncing issues, non-convincing acting/pretend play with the instruments, lot of old-fashioned MV style flashback...). Overall, the OST (sang by some of the actors) was pleasant but not remarkable.
I would recommend this to people looking for a sweet BL high school platonic romance. If you are searching for a solid dose of cuteness and fluff, this one is clearly for you !

So cute, you'll become addicted
First of all, even if it's a school based BL which we seen so many of, this one has the IT factor, that lil something extra that makes it stand out from the rest.I can fully understand and back up all these positive reviews.
The chemistry between the lead couple is so obvious, they don't have a single moment of cringe between them, everytime you see their interactions, you'll find yourself biting your pillow from the level of cuteness.
The cast and story, were wisely chosen and well executed, i did not skip at all throughout the whole 12 episodes.
My only issue is i'm not fan of musical series, although this is a light one, the repetition of the same songs over and over, just didn't sit well with me, hense the 9.5 rating.
Totally recommend watching this one.

True BL with some really good songs by the cast
I remember watching the announcement trailer for MSP – back in autumn 2021 – and thinking to myself that those kids don’t look like much and that another highschool BL combined with singing can’t be good. Boy, was I wrong. My reception of MSP rests on three pillars: script, chemistry and music.
The plot is simple and old as the BL genre, but works like a charm. The script was crafted in a smart way, creating a new kind of obstacle the main couple needed to overcome: instead of unsympathetic parents or a homophobic environment we get club rules the characters need to respect to focus on their main goal. Basically: they voluntarily restrained themselves from dating and found cute and creative ways to be together despite of the rules. Some very good choices were made while writing the script, like avoiding toxicity, angst and silly, overblown drama – which meant the characters had to act like real people, properly communicate with each other and get serious about serious stuff. I was very positively surprised but how much we learn about Gun and Tinn – making them three-dimensional characters. The script is in no way perfect, but as BLs come – it’s a top tier one.
Chemistry is a constant challenge for this genre, as it can save or even elevate plain or dumb scripts. MSP focuses on the relationship of Tinn and Gun, so Gemini and Fourth were the ones who needed to sell us the show – and they did it starting from episode 1; what they delivered was on the level of OhmNanon and EarthMix, two best ships GMMTV offered in recent years. Impressive when one considers that Gemini and Fourth were the youngest and, I believe, the least experienced members of the principal cast. The confidence with which they performed was remarkable. Their efforts were supported by strong performances of Mark, Winny and Satang. Lookwa, who played Gun’s mother, was a delight to watch and listen to.
MSP is loaded with songs, both covers and original pieces composed for the show, ranging from soft ballads to pop/rock. This must be the best BL soundtrack of all time – and all of it is performed by the cast. This shows how strong it really is, with Ford, Satang, Gemini and – most of all – Fourth literarily shining. If they get bored or tired of acting, they already have a second career – as singers. My favorite part of the soundtrack is “พูดได้ไหม” (“Let Me Tell You”), Fourth’s powerful rock statement, which gave me goosebumps and reminded me of Polish rock bands I used to listen to as a teen.
There’s something of “Bad Buddy” in this show – not just the cast (Mark, Prom, Satang, Ford, Gemini and Fourth all appeared in minor roles in OhmNanon’s hit series), but more the vibe, feels and atmosphere, which are very familiar. At some point I even called MSP “Bad Buddy Light”. It doesn’t mean that MSP needs the support of another great BL – it stands firmly on its own: well crafted and shot, smartly scripted, with good acting and unrivaled music.
The world needs more wholesome stuff like that.

BEST BL
what i love most about this series is that it shows the healthiest love that can exist between two teenagers, apart from the songs, the development of people and the good performances, let's not forget the tremendous chemistry between gemini and fourth, absolutely everyone should take the time to watch my school president because they really deserve more recognition than they get, that's all I have to say :) anyway, i will love you forever tinngun and chinzhilla <3 i look forward to the specialWas this review helpful to you?
it's not your typical drama at all
i felt empty after a long time. it was so endearing. i loved it. its not your typical cliche dramas where the ml just acts "cold" even tho he likes the other character. It is cute, cringe, happy and overall a lighthearted drama but it may not be some of yalls taste. The casting was just perfect i say. i reseached a bit and found out that they are just 04s but its just right for the high-school dramas like this, the mc story was based on music so there were pretty good songs that i would listen to on daily basis. i even wish to forget the plot so i can rewatch it as the first time just to get that feeling back . if there are other dramas like this pls recommend it to me ?Was this review helpful to you?

You can't avoid falling in love
Suddenly, Gemini and Fourth steal your heart and your full attention to all they have to say and show. You don't even complain and they lead you through an amazing, sweet and adorable storyline.Well acted, well directed and well scripted, My School President is the best bl I've always watched, so far.
I really wish Chinzhilla were real so I could listen to all of their songs.
Chemistry is overflowing between the entire cast.
Fourth is such a baby and portrays a teenager discoverying the world perfectly. I just can believe how expressive his face is.
Gemini's handsomeness makes your heart ask for some fresh air and his eyes tells everything you need to know
After all, only one word was left to My School President: Perfect
