First off, I'm proud of Miyeon's acting debut, it's an okay start for her. I hope she receives more offer and take it as an opportunity to improve her acting. I'd love to see her in more dramas. For the plot, it was nothing special and I also did not expect anything grand because this isn't a full drama. It was just full of cute, cheesy, fluffy, and all these sweet stuffs you usually see in cliché dramas. It was quite bearable for me because it wasn't over the top but I also could not overlook how it fell short to me at times. Although the leads were cute individually, I felt like their chemistry was nowhere to be found most of the time, maybe because this is a first for Miyeon. As for the other casts, they played their role equally well. I didn't feel any SLS at all and I find Lee Jihoon's character boring at times. But overall, the gang was fun to watch. I just had minor issues with some characters and also the main's chemistry. For the OSTs, they were the most fun part of the drama. I really like them!

To wrap up, this drama is perfect to relax and not think of anything deep, also if you can bear even the slightest of cheesiness it offers. It was an okay watch for me. (PS: I started this drama because I am a fan of (G)I-dle, cheering for Cho Miyeon's acting career!)

fluffy and light

As much as this drama got promoted, I wasn't expeciting anything groundbreaking. The premise is simple and school setting is nothing new.

The story hits all the expected spots and is well-paced. However it ends up being a victim to common webdrama tropes and cliche. The leads' acting was decent enough to overlook how cheesy this whole thing is. At the same time it's a shame such well-produced drama with actual budget is just another forgettable fare.
The story it bit juvenile, there isn't really much of character developement. Apart from second male lead everyone retains their high school attitude and carries it into their adult life. The 'current time' plot seemed to be underdeveloped, as if it was an afterthought.
The male lead did a good job acting, and I was looking forward to see him after his role in 'Single & Ready to Mingle'. Female lead's acting is okay, especially given it's her first acting I don't have much complaints. The chemistry between them was bit lacking though.

OST is full of known names. The songs are actually good and suit the webdrama. The sheer amount of songs made it seem like it was OST for 16eps drama. The music is one big plus this drama has, even though the whole "school band" theme is somewhat under-developed.

Overall, it's a barely average drama. It might cheer you up on a rainy day but won't change your life. It's an easy watch with a decent production value, but overall it's nothing to write home about.

Not the best acting or writing, but cute and a good start for an inexperienced cast

The acting wasn't the best, most of the cast (including Miyeon, who was the reason I tuned in) is relatively inexperienced and it definitely showed. Some of them struggled at showing emotion at times, and the chemistry felt lacking in some scenes. BUT I'm taking it as a great opportunity for growth for all of them, as they all did show potential, and I really hope to see them all in future dramas. I would say the best performance was given by Choi Jisu.

I think the writing was also pretty spotty, there were several plot points that were introduced and then randomly dropped, and I feel like we didn't get too much into the characters' individual motivations aside from the two male leads. There was also a lot of filler that wasted valuable episode time as well. I also think, while the male lead definitely grew as a character by the end, I think there could have been more actual buildup of he and the female lead's relationship - there wasn't much progression of that dynamic from Episode 1 to 10.

All this being said, the series still gave me the warm feelings a cute romance story always does. It was also a very aesthetically pleasing series, with beautiful sets, outfits for all the characters, and great music.

I'm not sure if I would recommend a rewatch if you don't have a sentimental connection to the cast like I do, but I would definitely enjoy a Season 2 with hopefully improved writing and acting.

Not much going on

Okay first of all i was really excited because im a fan of hwiyoung and the trailers seems to be fun but after i watch it..... i just couldnt make myself like it

The story: the story is just a simple highschool romance story, but to be honest theyre lacking to emphasise the highschool on the later eps. They tend to focus on the meeting of hayoung and chanyoung while theres not much going on either with them two. Some things are left out too, like the band competition and hows the second couple relationships in highschool.

The characters: I dont like the characters. From the five main role i only like so eun’s character, she seems real. I think jihoon is manipulative, the way he told chanyoung hes dating the girl??? Its a no from me (although he told chanyoung later on, which a character development, but still). Hes so easily irritated and not friendly at all, i wonder if anyone in real life would befriend someone with that behaviour. For chanyoung, i think hes a coward how he back off easily after second guessing himself. Even until the end, he wouldnt get the girl if jihoon didnt talk to him. And for hayoung... nothing special. Just typical female lead character. I dont get the chemistry between the main lead too

The acting: the acting isnt really good, but isnt that bad either considering theyre all rookies and its a webdrama (most webdramas actors/actresses dont have excellent acting lets be honest). Even for hwiyoung i like his acting on his previous work more

The songs: i like the songs tho! It’s enjoyable
Rewatch value: i dont think i would rewatch it unless i am very bored and have nothing to watch
P.s: torn in between give it a 6.5/7 but i’ll go with 7 because atleast the editing is good

For sure its not a new concept

The concept is school drama which is very used and all but the story is very refreshing the way things are going around is so calm and nothing serious or too deep whenever i was watching episode i felt more relaxed ..that’s why its a drama to just watch for your time to pass cause it’s a very relaxing story and also interesting also all the actors are basically rookies as actors so it was a very good start and all of them did amazing I definitely recommend it its a very beautiful drama it doesn’t has a lot of episodes but its still very interesting please watch it and support this drama and its actors

Wafer-thin plot

I stumbled across this while searching for some web dramas to watch and thought why not. I should have just passed up on it. Let's break this down:
The plot:
The most cliche high-school love story ever with none of the good aspects about that cliche. It's wafer-thin at times, and stuff gets randomly dropped for no reason (SPOILERS: for example, the band competition they were entering). The writers placed the love story in a school settings, yet didn't take any advantage that type of settings would give the story; in other words, this story would have been the same if the writers had simply placed it within a workplace setting, on an extraterrestial setting, or wtvr instead, which makes the story incredibly generic. The love story was too focused upon, but a good love story is elevated by fleshing out the environment, the people, etc. around that story, and that simply didn't happen here. And yet, despite focusing on the love story solely, for 99% of the series, literally nothing happens. You could honestly watch the first episode, watch like an episode in the middle, and then the last episode and you'd have most of the story. And yes, I understand that it's a web drama with limited time to flesh out things, but look at Love Playlist, or even A-Teen (which I didn't even like that much) being able to write out concrete plots within their time constraints.

The acting
Ranges from YIKES to meh. This is Miyeon's first role (I think?) and to be completely honest, she wasn't very good most of the time to downright bad when the plot requires a little bit of emotions. She had like two face expressions the entire series, which wasn't helped by the thin plot. The ML's acting was wtvr, also quite lacking, though at least he makes it believable that his character was this awkward and silent dude. The rest were just bad, ranges from either overacting in a way that makes it completely unreal, to severe underacting with literally 0 emotions whatsoever.

Music
Your very basic OSTs. Certainly not a Reset-level from School 2015 song or anything.

Rewatch Value
No, just no.

Light-hearted drama with stellar acting and OSTs

Firstly, the story itself is quite light, no twist and turn dramatic plots, and it seems to be aware of that, keeping everything bright and down to earth.

The actors and actresses are all stellar. Miyeon’s acting is probably the most natural one I’ve ever seen, which is surprising especially considering this is her debut! She has great potential. Choi Jisoo stands out as a supportive bestfriend and a band leader who really just trying to do her best for her group. Hwiyoung also well developed, bringing top level acting through minimum expressions and gestures, showing the pain and jealousy he went through.

The OSTs are also of high quality. Some tracks feel like they could stand out well as single releases (and they did, some even charted). They really bring some situations in the drama alive.

My only complaint is that this is too short; some parts feel like they could be developed into bigger conflicts with two or three episodes. So maybe season 2?

All in all, totally recommended!

I didn't understand the two timelines at first, it was unclear to me. Once I figured it out it made more sense. I watched it because I like a few of the cast members. I think they did a pretty good job with the acting. The characters were all kind of stupid though, which I really don't like. Since it was about a band, I expected there to be more songs. As a band, I think we only got to hear one of their songs ? Definitely expected more from that end. The OST was fun though. The side romance wasn't really believable for me because we didn't get to see it develop much.

Coming of age 1st love

loved it, it was a coming of age drama and finding your first love. I loved the cast and how much fun they probably had making it. This drama it's about the new boy Gong Chan young(ML-1) coming to school and falling in love with the Yoo ha young(FL) at first sight.
He makes friends with Lee ji hoon(ML-2) and shim Tae young as there in the same class later his teacher/counselor asked him to join the school band as the keyboard player. All is good until he enters the band room and see the Yoo ha young, Lee ji hoon, shim Tae young and imseo eun sitting there as he is speechless. As they get to know each other the two ML both like the FL and the ML-2 tells the FL he likes her, but she only see him as a friend so he makes ML-1 misunderstand nope he plain out lied and told him he was dating FL. Not sure where he went but quit the band and school disappeared for two years. While ML1 was working at the leather shop the FL shows up asking for her key chain and they sort of talked and he was getting his hopes up. He then goes to the music studio and see ML2 & FL standing close to each other and again he misunderstood and broke his date. So ML2 ask FL to go out for drinks and again ML1 see it and gets upset but inside ML2 ask her why she turned him down and see saw him as a friend not a man then and present and she still liked someone else. He finally admit his wrong doing and they sort thing out.
There is more going on to this storyline so go watch it.

Honestly a cute and fun show; web series are kind of nice sometimes, it was really short and wasn't anything special but kind of fun to watch as a filler or a quick movie. I liked the acting tbh, I wish it was a tiny bit longer and I wish they added more because they really could've played off the flashbacks at least but I'm not unthankful for it. I liked that every kind of shined and played their parts, I really adored the music and honestly it really just flew by so it was all good. I don't think I would need to rewatch it but a 2nd season would still be good but honestly it ended on such a cute and positive note; I'm cool with that too.

Refreshing drama to watch!

In terms of acting, the actors were okay but Miyeon and Jisu really stood out to me because of how natural their acting was.

In terms of production, the mood was quite awkward however, this really set the scene for the actresses and actors to broadcast their real talents. Miyeon was the most natural to me and was able to blend into this setting without any issues.

In terms of the plot, it was really simple and lighthearted, okay for people who just want a regular drama to fill the gaps of their intense lives. These dramas are really fit for a larger target audience, and I can easily recommend it to anyone and they will enjoy it for what it is. It was also some actresses acting debut.

The OST was so good, it really fit the mood well, and just as a viewer I was able to feel the story as if I were experiencing it. A huge selling point to the drama, and enough to want to follow those OST singers more in the future.

I hear Miyeon sang 'Dreaming about you' which must have been why the acting and the singing was so good because they were a reflection of each others emotions.

very cliche school webdrama and super light. can't help but reminds me a lot of ateen and best mistake. but sadly, there was nothing really special in this series. the storyline was meh, nothing really happen. but since it was super light, I casually watch it while doing other stuff. one thing that I'm happy to watch this is that I meet hwi young!! never saw him in any other drama, and just found out that he is in sf9. he's sooo hawttt and ugh his character suits him, that bad boy vibes. the osts were nice and acting was okay for first timers. anyways since it was super short, i kinda enjoyed it but with 1.5x speed.
