GMMTV STUCK THEIR FOOT INTO THIS
They ate this shit up and down, bro. The average is 9.33, so I will round it up to 9.5 out of 10 and it will join the gang. I watched the Japanese version a year ago—almost two years ago now—and this was genuinely so much better. If you are on the fence about this, watch it (or pirate it on some site, whatever floats your boat). It was really good. And yeah, spoiler time. I don't know if the fact I have already watched this makes me biased, but I don't care; this was very well done.Stop being a cheap piece of shit and just pay for the VPN; it is not worth it watching this on daily motion. If you have Billi Bili in your country, save your money; if not, get that VPN. If you are going to watch it on Daily Motion, make sure you try to watch full episodes and not the ones split into four parts.
Back for round 2: "Haven't we been here before? I liked the Japanese version, and I just finished Dark Blue Kiss, so I am back here on Daily Motion to watch the Thai version. The concept of this still freaks me the fuck out." Just the thought of randomly being able to hear people's thoughts would scare me so fucking much and I would never leave my house ever again. New and Tay look so much younger than they did 5 years ago, lol. Also, all of my reviews, at least 100 out of the 300 words, were going feral for Tay smiling. We met Karan and compared to the Japanese version, he was so much better. And I would get myself checked out for schizophrenia if I started hearing people's thoughts. The first episode set everything up really well, and they still kept most of the charm that the original had while still making it its own. Karan has liked Achi for 7 fucking years; that I do not remember but that makes everything so much better. Also, he can see people's thoughts, but only sometimes. That was a little confusing. My love for Tay: "MY MANN, Karan, or Tay looks so hot when he is smiling. So handsome when he smiles—what a handsome man." And they ate up the start of this and it set up the show for something great.
I was still freaking out of the whole concept of mind reading. "So far, I like this version better just because of the chemistry and setup, but I think that they did the first episode justice and did not shit on the Cherry Magic name, the very long cherry magic name." Also, fuck Daily Motion. New and Tay did such an amazing job as Achi and Karan stuck their fucking foot into these roles. Karan actually liked Achi in this, instead of whatever the other one was doing. "I think that New is great for this role because he always looks scared and confused." Me being in love with Tay version 2: "He is handsome, he is nice, he is a hard worker, and he cares so much about you, dude, I would fall for him. I would get so fucking distracted, dude."
New in a suit scares me but he looks so FINE when he is in his normal clothes. "I feel like this is a heavy case of pretty privilege because if someone like Karan had a crush on me, I would be flattered but if it was someone ugly, I would be creeped out. What does that say about our society?" The person who played Jinta did such a good job, he reminded me so much of the original and I loved it. The whole thing with Karan not being able to sing, holy fuck, I was laughing about that for the rest of the fucking show. "I guess Karan has something he can't do." It also still had the funny charm that the original had. My love for Tay, version 3: "HE IS SO FUCKING FINE WHEN HE SMILES. TAY IS SO FINE WHEN HE SMILES, OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD, MY MAN."
"When I hear the stupid wind chimes it is either time for a cringe moment or something cute." Duj working there for 20 years was insane; she actually got trapped. I love how close-knit the work community was. "145 heart rate when looking at someone, that's so cute." "Achi claims he doesn't like him but he is acting like this, dude. Achi is very selfless and I think that is one of the many reasons Karan likes him so much." Love Achi. My love for Tay version 4: "Tay is so fine when he smiles, oh my god, going feral. Holy fuck v2. Handsome man. v3. I keep smiling holy fuck. v4 I AM FALLING FOR YOU, SIR."
One problem is I have no concept of what episode I am on lol, not the show's fault, just daily motion. Achi was such a good guy in this, he was very aware and considerate about everything and it made me very happy. "When you start feeling comfortable and safe and your heart goes crazy when you are around them, that is love Achi." Jinta and his future idol career: "FUCK EM UP. JINTA BRO, HE IS EATING THEM UP. Gagged. Oh fuck, eat up. Rip, he was about to be their 5th member. I am pissing my pants laughing." Karan is very possessive and lowkey a control freak. We see that more in the later episodes, but it is swept under the rug because he is handsome, but he is very much a control freak. I love rock and pai they were very cute and added to the show. "Rock and Pai are definitely going to be a couple." Ate with this prediction. Tay love version 5 lol: "TAY BRO. Fine as fuck. v1 kicking my feet and shit. v2. TAY BRO. Fine as fuck. v1 kicking my feet and shit. v2."
They had some interesting confession places lol. They also did their serious moments really well, with the whole thing about Ms. Kem and Karan. Workplace harassment. "Preying on him bro, 23 his brain isn't even completely developed yet dawg. Oh, that's not a good feeling. I feel bad for Karan bro. "He's a man." That doesn't make it okay. That makes me very sad actually." And that's how Achi and Karan started. This episode was great because "Achi was the first person to see him beyond the superficial" and "Karan was the only person to notice all of his hard work." "Karan is this confident guy but Achi makes him all nervous and weird. 7 years holy fucking shit. You can't even make a crazy out-of-the-blue trip to Chiang Mai because you don't have a car. Running on what looks to be the highway in a suit with a backpack on is fucking funny. Achi picked the wrong career, someone get him on the national team for fucking running. He is not quite sure how he feels about you but he knows that it is love. Awe. I know he smells fucking horrible. Awe dude, this is cute." Sadly no Tay love in this one, but I am sure he was looking sexy. "Why focus on the future when we have the present waiting for us?"
"Pai and Rock bro, are cute too. Pai taking a picture of Achi and Karan and Rock taking a picture of her. Fuck this is adorable." Loved all of these little scenes so much, bro. And don't Karan and Achi have the same salary, how is he balling out so much? I think family ties, I guess. Tay love version 6: "TAY BRO. HANDSOME MAN. FUCK I WOULD DROP ALL OF MY SHIT TO TALK TO HIS SEXY ASS. I WOULD FALL ON MY FACE FOR YOU SIR."
And 6 hours to go today, I locked into everything besides college apps. "Achi has gone 30 years with no romance, of course, he is fucking awkward dude. What did you expect? He is very considerate about everyone but himself." The boss found them out so fucking fast it was insane, can these two catch a break. "Full circle with the shits. Ms. Kem dude. That is not something anyone should go through." The fact they touched back on this to show oh much growth Karan has done was great, I loved that for them. And the big reveal, which I would not have believed him at all, but that's why I am not in the show and instead watching them lol. Tay love version 7: "So handsome fuck bro. TAY AND THIS SMILE ARE MAKING FERAL. LEGS ARE SPREAD SIR. Tay bro, fine as fuck when he smiles."
"This is so much cuter than the other one bro, I am giggling so much. Karan instead of being freaked out, is milking the fuck out of it and I love that for him. Karan is a freak seven days a week." They are both great communicators and I feel like that really helped their relationship in the long run when everything was being thrown at them every which way. "It is a great opportunity but at what cost? They just keep adding on problems lol." "This show is lowkey deep as fuck." Tay my love version 8: "TAY SEXY MAN."
"Karan is a control freak lowkey, but it is not in a malicious way." I feel like when they start to become a thing we see this more. I talked about it in one of the episodes and now this one. He is always so used to being Mr. Perfect so that people (at work, his family, even Achi) see him beyond his looks. And because of this, this control freak is born. I guess you wouldn’t really see it because they are so cute. But for the past 7 fucking years, he has been doing stuff around the office, and for Achi that makes people realize when he is gone. He likes to do things at certain times every single day because he likes his control. We see this in his and Achi’s date and how everything has to be perfect and he doesn’t really stop and consider Achi’s feelings in the matter and just wants to control everything and make it perfect. I feel like it's not that big of a deal, only when he gets jealous of Jinta and gets mad at Achi (which is like once be fucking for real), but when that happens, you are just like oh. That's a big part of him. Lol, I don't know why I felt the urge to rant about that. I remembered I had free will lol. Back to the episode now. "Lacking communication skills, I thought they were doing good. It is not anyone's fault really, it is just poor timing. It is not because he doesn't trust you, he just cares. But you obviously have a problem with it and you aren't telling him and it's overwhelming. Achi is such an overthinker, it is because he cares a lot. RBF is back, holy fuck." Every time Karan gets angry, I say RBF is back. "Nice needed reality check though. Maybe the real idol was the friends we made along the way." That ended a little abruptly so I definitely missed something, but daily motions fault.
I have no idea where my review for this episode went. But it was a cute little long-distance bit. I could not hear Karan singing without cringing so I started singing over him. Good episode and I was hoping that they could bring it home.
"Y'all got freaky. Less overthinking for him. Powers are now gone. Maybe the real cherry magic was the friends we made along the way dude." I copied and pasted some of my college essays in here so I am gonna delete that lol. "Karan a freak. Karan has been a freak. Oh, his parents aren't supportive. That wouldn't make me feel good. RBF is back. You don't support him, that makes him feel like shit. Karin saying what we are all thinking, she is a good sister. Is she the same woman from earlier in the show? She looks different. The same thing happened to all of his hobbies, they just disappeared for his mom and dad." Then they had a friends we met along the way ass ending with them married but it was fine. Could have been better but it wasn't and life goes on lol.
Ignoring the fact this wasn't available for international fans because of copyright or whatever that Instagram post said, GMMTV ate. ATE THIS SHIT DOWN. Would I recommend it? Yes but watch the other one first and then this and this will be a lot better. Or don't and do whatever the fuck you want, I don't care. I am going to go fan girl over Tay some more. Okay bye!

Substantially Different To The Original, But Great Fun
Fans of Cherry Magic (Japan) will enjoy this very heartwarming series adapted to Thai social and office culture. The MLs are considerably more open and the workplace scenes are more direct and personal. The T-pop is fabulous, so have your Shazam and Spotty ready!Talent abounds in this series: special mention goes to "Junior" Panachai Sriariyarungruang who portrays Tsuge/Jinta. Junior is a riot and brings amazing physical comedy and true heart to this role and elevates the entire series. He will go very far in his career, with careful script choices. And "Sing" Harit Cheewagaroon aka Rokakku / Rock is full of pep and stays true to the OG character, but also displays depth and credibility and has excellent potential as future serious romantic lead.
There is some drama overload with some side characters, reducing the MLs to background extras at times.
Thank you for reading! Please feel free to "Follow" for more reviews, or say hello! ~ Fuyimawagi

Meh...
It's a sweet, classic BL. Unfortunately in a post Bad Buddy world, that formula needs more than New looking adorable in a business suit to make it compelling. He does however looking AMAZING in a suit. Sing actually looks fantastic as well. Jan is crazy and hilarious as always, Tay is fine. Junior is totally wasted as Jinta, same as Mark as Min. They aren't given nearly enough time to establish anything believable and no one would be charmed by Jinta's being a complete spaz. The only honest and authentically touching moment is when he's comforting Min.I was just a bored. I finished it anyway, but I'm not going to be going back and rewatching anything. I hate to say it, but I think its time for break up the TayNew ship.

TAYNEW SOFTCORE!!!!
I don't understand how other viewers could say that it's boring. Clearly you are expecting some spicy NC scenes but um im sorry, you will not get all of that from TayNew. Most of their series are softcore and pure-like aesthetic. I must applaud the cinematography, the plot development and the character development. I found it very adorable when the Achi and Karan try to figure out what's next for their relationship even though both of them knew but they take into full consideration of each other's feelings and not wanting to hurt each other. It's been a while since I watched such adorable and pure series like this and I knew this series is a good one when I DID NOT SKIP. NOT EVEN ONCE. I am a skipper so you know it is difficult for us to watch a series without skipping. Tay's voice is ADORABLE LIKE HNGHHHH WHY SO CUTE TAY??? New's acting is superb as always and I couldn't help but to keep on thinking where the part that Tay once told the fans that New likes it when people looks at him as innocent and pure but he is the real devil HAHAHHAHAH.If people ask me for recommendation of first timer watcher of BL, i would suggest this series. IT'S JUST SO FUCKING PURE!! T T . Please dont expect that there will be NC scenes and hot scenes because this series is a series about how Karan turn his puppy love to be sincere love towards Achi. I couldn't explain how much I love this series but it is a good series and please ignore other viewer with their - 'WOW THAT WAS BORING' Like... I bet you never surround your life with love before. Anyway, if you wish to take a break from watching too steamy and purely based on sex series ( like Playboyy ), you can watch this series and your cheeks will get tired from smiling too much LMAO. I also like how the series's colorist manage to adjust the scenes to have Japan core and makes it look like it's cold in Thailand. I applaud them for this. Good cast, good plot, good series! Cheers!

Was it JinMin or MinJin?
And that was the only question unanswered.Every part of this series showed what a real and healthy relationship should be like. It had so many aspects that could get you hooked on the series itself.
My favorite ship in the entire series was JinMin. Jinta was an example of a supportive boyfriend. Karan too.
There were so many moments in which my heart felt the emotions the characters felt.
I suggest you watch the Japanese version first because the experience gets so much better!!
The main ship, KaranAchi had so much more story than the original. They dove into many more aspects of their life besides their relationship. The support ship, (MY MOST FAVORITE, LOVE IT) JinMin slayed it. Let's face it, after watching the series, we all want a series of JuniorMark as a main. Their chemistry was so good!
Let's not forget RockPai. Rock was absolutely refreshing to look at. And P'Jan slayed Pai's role. I loved it, she was so cool!
One thing that still has me tripping is P'Duj x Tanaka(boss). It was so shocking I had to take my glasses off and scream into a pillow.
Overall, the series is a fun experience. It gets you to understand the characters and have a fun time. I personally loved it <3

Best COMFORT, SWEET SIMPLE DRAMA...FULL OF LOVE
I usual don't write...this is my second time that I am writing a review.I found this drama really sweet... NO OVERACTING, NO EXTRA DRAMA, NO TOXICITY, NO FORCE OF THINGS TO HAPPEN ...just pure emotions...and understanding for each other.
How is make you comfortable?
KARAN:-
A loves someone for years secretly... without any expectations...
though he waited for this for long time since he respect your emotions, your discomfort, don't force yourself on you, love you the way you are, make you feel special... understand you in every possible way.
ACHI:-
A person who is never been in relationship try to figure out things how he will good in a relationship...
how will not disappoint another person.
Try not to take advantage of another's emotions and feelings.
The thing I love about ACHI AND KARAN relation is they.... RESPECT eachother, they GIVE SPACE to eachother THEY SUPPORT eachother...they try to UNDERSTAND eachother emotions and feelings... THEY DON'T FORCE one to another....
The thing I LIKE THE MOST IS.... is not necessary always you to kiss after your confession...you should give yourself and another time to adjust and adapt the things ( may be most of the people don't like this) you don't have to touchy and have intimacy to show your love...
Your small gesture always show love towards eachother other...
THEY SHOW HOW A RELATIONSHIP GROW SLOWLY...HOW TWO PEOPLE TRUST EACHOTHER AND PROVIDE COMFORT TO EACHOTHER.
MIN & JINTA
they are cute , sweet, a good understanding realation.... ( But I just find a little bit lack of chemistry between them)
ROCK & PAI
they are cutest... Their relation is sweet and spicy.... Even PAI knows Rock feelings are genuine...but she still needs her time and ROCK has no problem in that.
OVERALL THIS DRAMA IS SIMPLE, SWEET, COMFORTABLE...
FILLED WITH LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, UNDERSTANDING, SUPPORTIVE PEOPLE.

TayNew Are Amazing in this, better than Dark Blue Kiss by a Mile
I laughed A LOT throughout this series. The main couple is great, but it is the return of TayNew (or Pete and Kao from Dark Blue Kiss & Kiss Me Again) on screen. Their chemistry is fantastic. I recently watched Dark Blue Kiss for the first time, so some scenes and moments remind me of the two of them in that series. However, I liked this series's more adult environment and approach to relationships. This series addresses issues of being in a rut in one's life, chasing one's goals, finding love later than is culturally expected, and being willing to learn and embrace new things. While younger people may enjoy this BL series, this one really hits home for the middle-aged crowd (or at least those of us in our 30s who don't want to be called middle-aged or uncles quite yet).
Our main couple has so much depth and emotional weight. The side BL couple also has a fair amount of cuteness and emotional heft. I kind of wish we had more time with Rock and Pai. They were utterly adorable, but that would have detracted from the main couple.
The romance between Achi and Karan is amazing and brings out the green-eyed monster in me. Karan is so caring and understanding. Achi I could connect with his shyness and uncertainty about himself. There is very little spice to this series. Honestly, Dark Blue Kiss had more spice to it than this series. Yet, this is the best project I have seen TayNew do together. I would love to see them in more of these kinds of stories.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I laughed A LOT, got teary-eyed in a couple of scenes, loved the chemistry, and felt sad when I watched the last episode because I wanted to follow more of their story.

A beautiful story of two pple falling in love
this series is such heart felt one , it makes you fall in love with the concept of love and makes you realise you just need the righr person by your side to be happy in life . both karen and achi are each other motivation to be better. if you want to wacth something meaningful and heat grabbing not to sad with bunch of hidden lesson and comedy this is the go to not only the main couple but the side couples too will give you butterfly in every scene . i think this is one of the show that can help you relax with there sweet magic of love . FYI i dont think i will ever be able to see anyone as karenachi after watching taynew they are just perfect 🥰🥰Was this review helpful to you?
A very cute adaptation
This will be a comparison with the japanese version. This show is so freaking cute, it was such a comfortable show to watch. This was a very cozy and calm show. There aren't any spicy scene, and there's also no big drama moment or plot twist. So if this type of series isn't for you, I wouldn't recomend it.
I had already watched the japanese version and I liked it very much, but this version is also pretty good. Even though, I would probably say that I might have enjoyed this one a little bit more (not sure about that yet), because the episodes are longer so they were able to not only the develop the characters and their emotions in a better way, in the sense that with the japanese version sometimes they were being overly dramatic and this one was way more calmer when compared, but also add more characters which made it feel more accurate to reality. (I did not read the manga yet, so I don't know if they appear there or not) In the japanese version, and usualy in japanese dramas in general, from what I've watched, it is so main character focuses that they kinda forget that the main characters are not alone in the world and that they actually socialize with other people in the office and in their daily lives, but that might be because of the budget tho. (I don't know if you'll understand what I'm trying to say but I did my best)

GMMTV Dropped The Ball and I'm over it
First off I adore TAYNEW and was thrilled they were returning in another BL especially something so iconic as Cherry Magic. I loved Kurosawa and Adachi in the Japanese Version. Even though its TAYNEW I dont think they can redo it better but they can make it more suitable for them. However after 2 episodes aired on GMMTV YOUTUBE CHANNEL it was pulled due to copyright issues so i have dropped this series even if somehow it is re-released in the states I will never watch this.
GMMTV is to blame entirely. They are an established production company and they should have known they didn't have the rights to air this series outside of Thailand.
Yes I realize it can be watched with a VPN but why should anyone have to. Because GMMTV messed up.
Are we in for same for their other Japanese Adaptations (OSSAN'S LOVE with Earth Mix) or( MY LOVE MIX UP with Gemini Fourth)
Apologies from GMMTV ring a bit hollow since as a company that's been around and produced so many series (many of them BL) should have been more diligent before even airing this series
So I'll stick to the original Cherry Magic and the recently released Anime Version from Japan. So yet another Thai Adaptation of an established series falls short because a production company that failed to cross all it's T's and dot all of it's i's.

Simply magical
Warning: a tl;dr review, I can't help myself. This is officially my favourite BL series now, not only because of the story, but because the pairing of Achi and Karan worked for me and I have to praise TayNew for their excellent portrayal of these characters. They have ascended to my favourite pairing in a BL series and I hope this won't be the last time we'll see them together. They have insane chemistry and feel very natural and comfortable in their interactions with each other. Their kissing and intimacy scenes have improved considerably since Dark Blue Kiss and I've lost count how many times I've rewatched this kiss in episode 9.
This is a story about Achi's development from someone who had little to no respect for himself and used to put Karan, whom he considered perfect in any way, on a pedestal somewhere far, far away from his own imperfect self, to someone who actually planned to propose to the aforementioned perfect guy and fell on his knees in front of him to do that. It was quite a journey.
I'll speak more of Achi because Karan pretty much remained the same person in the entire series - nice, loving, patient, adoring, respectful and absolutely madly in love with Achi, the person who showed understanding, encouraged and comforted him the right way without even realising it when he had a breakdown many years ago. When it counted, when he needed him, Achi was there for him. There are several reasons why episode 6, together with episode 11, was the highlight of the series, and one of them is that we finally got a more nuanced insight into Karan's character. I was also very grateful for episode 12, because with the introduction of Karan's parents I finally got two of my questions about him answered - why he seemed to be the only one to think that Achi would have a problem dating him because he's a man, and why, before Achi started hearing his thoughts and finally started seeing him as a potential love interest, he'd waited so long without at least trying to ask Achi out. It didn't make any sense to me that a man who was so deeply and passionately in love would be happy with watching his crush from afar for years without doing anything about it. His family and Achi's total obliviousness taken together was what kept him away.
I consider portraying Achi and his journey believably the bigger challenge, because he started pretty low. His self-esteem was non-existant, and sadly everyone around him, even Karan, seemed to emphasize this - his neighbour and his mother call him clumsy and are constantly worried about him, his best friend is in the same boat as him, with just a little more dramatic personality, and he has been watching Karan win awards, buy cars, etc. for years, admiring him for being handsome, successful, smart and therefore feeling small and insignificant himself. Yes, it was completely believable and understandable he would be totallly in shock when he realised how much Karan liked him, and it would take him a while to get used to it and accept it in order to allow their relationship to progress. The pacing was exactly right and I loved how they showed these little moments between the two in the first three episodes and how Achi's feelings slowly started to change until he caught feelings himself in episode 4. This episode was and remains one of my favourites with my probably favourite scene between them prior to the kiss - the looks and happy and open smiles they gave to each other the moment Karan smeared that white substance on Achi's cheeks. No wonder Pai screamed when she saw them, I probably would, too. Such a wholesome moment, I still habe goosebumps.
I know many complained about episode 7, but I disagree, it was exactly as good as the previous ones and also a very important one, because it was the beginning of them learning to speak openly to each other and communicate in order for their relationship to work, something that was explored further in episodes 9 and 10 and it culminated in episode 11 with their first time and episode 12 with the wedding. I think the problem with episode 7 was solely that it came after the excellent episode 6 with Karan's character finally getting explored (and let's be honest, Tay killed it, he was so good) and with the confession scene, which made me tear up a little.
Episode 8 was the only episode I indeed thought was not as good as the others, mostly because it made the boss extremely unlikable and I had problems with him the rest of the series.
To sum it up, Achi's journey and the KaranAchi relationship, after it happened, were written very well and delevoped gradually and at the right pace for a 30-year-old virgin with a low esteem who suddently found himself dating the perfect guy. I've seen some comments doubting Achi's feelings for Karan, but his feelings were obvious from episode 4 forwards and they deepened further when Achi allowed himself the chance to get to know Karan better. He isn't as expressive in vocalizing his feelings like Karan is, true, but let's be honest, few people are like Karan. Achi is a more subdued character by nature, but it doesn't mean he loves Karan less.
I didn't care much about the secondary couples, because KaranAchi overshadowed everything with their love and chemistry to me, but still, at least I liked the Jinta and Min couple, they were sweet and again, well-written and I bought they were into each other. I can't say the same for Pai and Rock. They were good characters separately, but not as a couple IMO. I also, unlike with Min and Jinta, never got the vibe that Pai was into Rock like that.
Thank you so much, production team, actors and casting directors, for making me feel happy and smily and cosy every Saturday for three months. I absolutely adored this. Karan and Achi's love story taught me about personal growth and made me remember how much kindness, loving and learning to trust yourself and respect matter.

Watch it only for taynew
This show was of the best produced by GMMTV for taynew fans this is blessing . Both Karan and achi played a green flag character no misunderstanding no stupid fighting they both had a healthy relationship. One thing I loved is that they did not make Karan overall perfect like Kurosawa every human cannot be perfect there has to be at least one flaw. Thai shows are visually appealing Tay looked so hot. But the side couple were more fun . Meen and Jinta killed it especially jinta his expressions were hilarious. Other characters were great too . I loved this show and I will definitely recommend others to watch this .Was this review helpful to you?
