Short and poor script and sound
I'm all for supporting low budget productions and this is one of them. 4 episodes makes it short and I think with a poor script it was hard to really get into what the writer was trying to do. It felt choppy and disconnected. The sudden appearance of characters in ep 3 and 4 just threw you. The actors did well though but it's hard if the raw materials aren't there.I would recommend those who have patience and aren't really bothered by the (lack of a consistent) story line should binge watch this whilst doing something else. They are raising sponsorship for their next project already so hopefully a bigger budget will give these actors a better end product.

An Excellent Low Budget Filipino Series
This series has a lot going for it; including a beautiful setting, great editing, and nice cinematography; not to mention some great acting from most of the cast members; of which Rod Grande Corpuz, Cris Jay Cabides and Axl Romeo deserve particular mention for some great performances.If I had to point to something that could be improved, I would say the length of the series; both in terms of each episode and the number of episodes; as the story seemed to be pressed for time there at the end (in episode 4). Given the fact that it was produced on such a small budget however; I think the writer / director of Beautiful Scars deserves a lot of praise for the success of the series; along with the young and obviously talented cast of actors.

Uma série de baixo orçamento salva pelo casal principal
Quando se trata das Filipinas, não sou atraída pelas séries de baixo orçamento, pois já me decepcionei bastante. Essa me chamou atenção de cara, por apresentar uma boa qualidade de imagem, a cinematografia é razoável e os atores principais tinham uma boa química, o que prova que um bom diretor consegue fazer um bom trabalho acontecer. Eu sempre exalto o fato das Filipinas trazerem mulheres trans para as produções, em papéis que não são apenas de alívio cômico, mas como parte integrante e importante do núcleo.O roteiro não é lá essas coisas, e o tamanho da série não ajuda (4 eps), mas dá pra entender que Kyle foi deixado por Liam a dois anos, mas ainda o ama. Lian volta, pede um encontro, e sugere que passem uma semana juntos. Nesse ponto eu pensei muitas coisas... que Lian estava com alguma doença terminal ou algo assim, e quando apareceu o motivo eu realmente fiquei surpresa. Não ficou clara a profissão do pai de Kyle, mas não me parece algo honesto. Também me perguntei onde Lian estava se escondendo durante os dois anos, pois se ele estava pronto para se casar bem próximo de onde Kyle vivia, provavelmente não estava longe, achei que isso merecia ser explicado.
Enfim, apesar do baixo orçamento é uma boa série, o casal principal atua muito bem e tem uma química boa. Alguns atores não atuam bem, mas como o foco temático é o casal, acabam passando despercebidos. Senti falta de uma ost melhor, mas no mais, recomendo a série.
