I'm dissapointed...
Main lead didn't kiss at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!There wasn't a single kiss between them!!!!!!!!!
If you watch dramas for good kissing scenes like me then DO NOT WATCH THIS ONE!!!!!!!!
??????????
My plan is not to criticize these actors, because it's not their fault of course, but i'm just very disappointed that they didn't kiss even once!!!!!!
I'm sorry If I offended anyone here that was not my intention. I'm just trying to warn those who don't want to waste their time on a drama they don't want to watch

Where do I even start with this drama? There are so many wrongs, but the heart stopping, cute moments help somewhat negate them. I read one reviewer that if this is to be remade into a Korean drama, then watch out, it could be deadly good. If some of the scenes could be cut, like the over dramatic stares into space, the long slow motion, the actors just sitting/standing/walking around doing nothing, then the drama could be cut from nearly two hours to just one. Some of the acting, it seems, requires a lot of shouting. I mean, I could see veins popping when it’s just supposed to be a two person conversation. The annoying music just overpowers the scenes and in many cases, not appropriate for the situation. If Danny is meant to be a love rival to the ML, then the writers did a poor job. He seems bratty and I wonder at times if he is such a good friend to her. When she needs help or in trouble, he doesn’t want to help out; she literally has to beg him.
The ML’s acting seem very wooden; I know he’s supposed to be cold and unfeeling. I guess after a while, like all the girls going through the Stockholm Syndrome (falling in love with their captors), I too came to like his wooden acting and appearance. The FL is supposed to be a genius, but I think this drama did a poor job showcasing it. The traps she set seems too simple: the gun running scheme, the take down of Yon Wen. I wish there was more of a suspense or something to keep the audience enthralled and guessing.
The drama description and, I think, in some conversations between characters, mentioned that the ML is a Hong Kong mafia. But his HQ apparently is in Taipei. Most likely because filming in actual Hong Kong is expensive. So, why not just make him a Taiwanese mafia or better yet a Thai one since all of them are speaking Thai and not Mandarin except the occasional Ni Hao.
Lastly, her age. He begins to fall in love with her when she’s only 17. I don’t think his age was mentioned, but I am assuming he’s in his mid- to late 20s. God forbid if he’s supposed to be in his 30s. Sure, by the end of the drama she turned 18, but that’s still a teenager. It doesn’t quite turned me off from the drama, but there’s certainly an ick/no-no factor. So, I am glad that this drama has very little PDA, and kissing between the leads are on the forehead or cheeks. I survived watching this drama with the help of the fast forward button and the gooey feeling of the slow burn romance between the two main leads.

The acting of the female lead is better than the male lead in compare, but he also did good. Not much interesting chemistry to the point where you would ship them very hard. Though they both did stay by each other and went through hard times, but it is not enough for me to fall in love with their chemistry.
The songs was very good. The song is the reason why I really want to like the drama, but then the drama wasn't a fit for me. I don't know why the reviewers does not like the music for this drama, but for me it is better than the storyline. They really put good music into this drama, which makes it hard for me to hate the drama.
Overall, the music is better than the drama, but the drama was decent enough to watch. The ending is probably the part I liked most, but not because it end but because it was good. Though I wish they could continue the main couple life so that I could like the drama more because it wasn't enough, so I don't know how to decide if I like it or not.

This is not my lackhorn but this one is definitely presenting with a different vibe to it. I like the spin on it where they are including the characters intelligence and quick thinking however the relationship itself was a little bit frustrating Due to the supposed age gap. It was sort of weird. I’m not sure if I’m missing something or not however I have noticed that many of these lackhorn series involved parents selling their kids to pay off debt. I’m not sure if this is the norm for this type of series or what but it’s getting old. Trade my kid for debt, they fall in love, debt cleared. I’ve seen this set up too many times. Witnessed this again by accident Was this review helpful to you?
Exceeded my expectations for a Thai drama
I don't have high expectations for Thai dramas, I usually expect to find at least:- one really annoying side character that creates all the drama and gets in the way of the leads,
- a bunch of misunderstanding dragging the drama, and/or
- an annoying FL who takes all the s*** the ML throws at her and never fights back.
- as well as a hateful SFL.
This drama exceeded my expectations when it had NONE of the above.
I really enjoyed this drama. It had me hooked from beginning to end that it took me literally just a day to finish this drama.
The FL was feisty and strong. She was a genius and can hold her own and survive in whatever circumstance. She did not take any s*** from the ML and he didn't really give her any, ever. Her capability is what everyone admired about her and I love that she got respect from EVERYONE for it. One of my favourite Thai FL's so far.
Despite how the plot sounds, the ML being a member and powerful figure of the Hong Kong mafia and essentially being obsessed with the FL's sister (simply because her sister was really pretty and nothing else). He was not what I expected at all, he was very respectful of the FL before he even cared for her, In fact he wasn't 'bad' to anyone, he had a lot of admirers as well as a really close friend (perhaps more) in the SFL (Mei Jin) who I thought I would dislike, but in fact grew to love.
There was also the FL's sister who I thought would be the annoying side character that gets in the way of the leads, but she was not problematic at all, and in fact had very little screen time I didn't care for as it didn't do anything to the plot.
The ML's right hand man Jongsing was a very loyal friend to the ML and despite his romantic feelings for the SFL who liked the ML, it did not get in the way of Jongsing's loyalty to Lan See.
Side couples:
The only genuine side couple were Meena and Puey In who had a rough start. I feel like their story would have been similar to the story the ML and the FL's sister would have had, had the FL not taken her sisters place. To me it was like a "what if" storyline. Puey In starts off as a jerk who kidnaps Mean because he likes her, he also assaults her, but then he grows on Meena.
No love triangles:
There were no love triangles in this drama, not real ones.
The SFL likes the ML but is okay just being his friend and sharing a platonic relationship. She also has an adorable admirer in Jongsing.
If there is a SML, it would be Danny Tapia, who surprisingly had no love triangle storyline with the FL despite how close they were. He and the FL were platonic soulmates if anything.
No dragged story:
Pure romance and action, no melodrama, no dragged storyline and fast paced. So much happens in all the episodes, there is no time for misunderstandings, unnecessary plot lines etc. There are a lot of unexpected twists alongside the expected storyline in the synopsis that makes the drama so much better and perfect for the 16 (1 hour 50 minute) episodes (though I did skip quite a lot of the drama after episode 11 when the romance became more ...real).

I really don’t know why but I was hooked
This show was terrible but I was hooked. The acting was poor. Any fight scenes were pathetic (even a Star Wars Storm Trooper can shoot better than these bad guys)
The soundtrack was terrible.
The storyline was unbelievable.
There was so much unnecessary footage that should have been edited out. I fast forwarded the show so much that each episode took just over half and hour to watch.
So why on Earth was I totally hooked?
I suspect it is the characteristics of the FL and the fact she had the best acting. She’s smart, mouthy, with a little kick ass. The next best character/actor is her high school friend who she drags into frequent trouble. It’s a shame they didn’t ramp up his part in the storyline.
Defying logic that I really had better things to do (or watch) than watch this very poorly executed show, I was hooked and I enjoyed watching.

quite funny
I don't know if it's deliberately funny, but one cannot help but laugh at so many silly twists and scenes of the plot... The actors and actresses are good looking and have a lot of sex-appeal - sex sells, right? - so it's worth watchin at least for this. But like most lakorns, its sooo silly that you gotta see it to believe lol. Exaggerated scenes, exaggerated acting, like a carnival show. I sometimes wonder myself why i keep watching this? Maybe it's because you don't need to put much effort into guessing what's next, it's so obvious that my neuron feels insulted. Still i have to admit i came to watch this knowing what to expect, at least lakorns are honest in packing up old cliches. The ML and his best friend are quite hot - and all the cast is above average. Addictive in a cringy way.Was this review helpful to you?
Must watch!
This is really one of the best dramas I've ever watched till date, not even overstating. The plot is so damn good & the best part is that the female lead is not stereotypical or dumb. The male lead is just the way I have ever dreamt of. Basically this drama is a dream come true. You gotta watch definitely if you are into mafia love. The story is really gripping & you won't regret even one bit.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Was this review helpful to you?
Carlos aparece pouco mas roubou me coração.
