"Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" continues to win hearts in its last week of airing.  SBS broadcasts a new drama.

The fantasy period K-drama "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" aired its penultimate episode on January 7. The show garnered an average nationwide rating of 8.21%, making it the most-watched show for the entire week on tvN. 

The drama's 10th episode will air on Sunday (January 8), marking its finale.

While we see "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" approaching its end, the new SBS drama "Payback: Money and Power" is rising to fame. The revenge thriller premiered this week with an average nationwide viewership of 8.7% (January 6) and 7.4% (January 7), according to Nielsen Korea. The average rating of the K-drama for this week is 8.05%.   

"Payback: Money and Power" stars Lee Sun Kyun as Eun Yong - a money trader and owner of a global private equity firm. Moon Chae Won plays the tough Park Jun Kyung - an army major and upright judicial officer who graduated with top scores from the training institute. Kang Yoo Seok is seen as Jang Tae Chun - Eun Yong's nephew and a prosecutor, while Park Hoon as Hwang Gi Seok - a chief prosecutor. 

The drama also stars Kim Hong Pa (as Myung In Joo) and Lee Gi Young (as Oh Chang Hyun) among others.
