According to sources, the upcoming K-drama Death's Game has commenced filming. The script reading for the K-drama was conducted on February 14, and the filming was set in motion on the 20th.
Death's Game is a fantasy melodrama that revolves around the life of Choi Yi Jae, an unfortunate and unemployed man who only has an empty bank account and a failed relationship. Giving up hope to further live, he decides to commit suicide. But, things don't go his way when he wakes up alive and is given extra chances at life by an otherworldly entity Death, who sentences Yi Jae to 13 lives.
The upcoming drama has a star-studded cast that consists of Doom at Your Service actor Seo In Guk as Choi Yi Jae, Record of Youth actress Park So Dam as the powerful other-worldly entity Death, and Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow actress Go Youn Jung as Jung Ji Soo.
The drama will also cast Lee Jae Wook (whom we remember as Jang Uk from Alchemy of Souls), The Good Detective Season 2 actor Jang Seung Jo, Choi Si Won ( famous for his performance in Love Is for Suckers), the athlete-turned-actor Sung Hoon, and Her Private Life's male lead Kim Jae Wook as Choi Yi Jae's reincarnations.
Death's Game is adapted from a webtoon that was written by Lee Won Sik and illustrated by Gul Chan.
The drama will air seven episodes and is reportedly set to premiere in the second half of 2023.
