The action thriller K-drama Vigilante will reportedly have a sequel.
On July 19, several media outlets reported that Disney+ is gearing up for the second season of Vigilante. According to reports, main leads Nam Joo Hyuk, Yoo Ji Tae, and Kim So Jin will return to the new season. It was also reported that the production company is already looking for additional casts for the new season.
The production company Studio N who produced the K-drama denied the circulating reports. They relayed their statement through media outlet Daily Sports and revealed, "Nothing has been decided yet for the second season of Vigilante."
Vigilante revolves around a model police student at a police university during weekdays but lives as a Vigilante who punishes criminals on weekends. The story was adapted from a webtoon of the same name written by CRG and illustrated by Kim Gyu Sam.
Due to the good response and the storytelling of the K-drama, many are hopeful that there will be a second season. After the K-drama was released, it topped the viewing time and became the most-viewed series in eight major countries including Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines.

He is a model student at the police university but during the weekends, he becomes a Vigilante who punishes criminals.
Yoo Ji Tae on the other hand played the character named Cho Heon. He is the detective who chases the Vigilante that punishes criminals in his own ways.
Lastly, Kim So Jin portrayed the role of Choi Mi Ryeo. She was the reporter who introduced the Vigilante to the public.
