Jeon Jong Seo will possibly star in her first-ever historical K-drama!
Several media outlets reported on March 30 that Jeon Jong Seo has been picked as the main lead of the upcoming K-drama The Queen of Wu (working title).
Jeon Jong Seo's agency Andmarq shared their side regarding the casting news. According to the agency, "it is true that Jeon Jong Seo got the offer to lead the new K-drama The Queen of Wu. The offer is still under review and nothing has been decided yet."
The Queen of Wu will be a historical K-drama that will revolve around Wu, the first queen of two kings in Korean history. According to reports, the series will be a historical action K-drama.
Broadcast date and other details about the K-drama are yet to be revealed.
If Jeon Jong Seo confirms her casting, this will be her first ever historical K-drama since her debut. She made her acting debut in 2018 through the film Burning. After starring in the movies, several opportunities were given to her and she has starred in multiple works ever since.
Aside from the Queen of Wu, Jeon Jong Seo is also set to lead the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama Wedding Impossible with Moon Sang Min, Kim Do Wan, and Bae Yoon Kyung. She will possibly join Bargain Season 2 if it becomes officially confirmed. Jeon Jong Seo will also join the upcoming movie Ballerina with Kim Ji Hoon and Park Yoo Rim.
Jeon Jong Seo is known for being part of the works Bargain, Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area, Nothing Serious, The Call, and more.
