Lee Jong Suk will reportedly reunite with "W" director in a new K-drama

Lee Jong Suk and the W director will possibly work together again after eight years.

On September 13, media outlet MyDaily released an exclusive report stating that Lee Jong Suk is returning to the K-drama scene with director Park Seung Woo. The two will work together to bring in the new K-drama titled Seocho-dong (literal title).

This will possibly be Lee Jong Suk's grand comeback to the K-drama world. The actor was last seen in the 2022 series Big Mouth alongside Girls Generation's Im Yoon Ah, Kim Joo Heon, Kwak Dong Yeon, Yang Kyung Won, and Ok Ja Yeon. 

Aside from this K-drama as the possible comeback of Lee Jong Suk, this will also be his first K-drama work under his new agency Ace Factory.

In 2024, Lee Jong Suk made a special cameo appearance in the film The Plot which was led by Kang Dong Won, Lee Moo Saeng, Lee Mi Sook, Lee Hyun Wook, Tang Jun Sang, and Kim Hong Pa. 

Lee Jong Suk is best known for leading the K-dramas Romance Is a Bonus Book, While You Were Sleeping, Pinocchio, I Hear Your Voice, School 2013, and more.

Seocho-dong will tell the story of a lawyer with nine years of experience. He is known for his good looks and skills but he is also a straightforward person. 

The upcoming K-drama will be helmed by director Park Seung Woo who is also known for creating the works Adamas, Kairos, Spring Turns to Spring, and more. 

Attention is focused on the reunion of Lee Jong Suk and director Park Seung Woo, and whether the actor will sweep multiple awards with this new K-drama, similar to his achievement in 2016 when they first collaborated.

According to reports, Seocho-dong will begin its filming at the end of 2024. There are no official confirmation yet on the premiere date as well as the broadcast channel for the upcoming K-drama.
