The second part of "Alchemy of Souls" confirmed to air this year!

tvN confirmed the premiere of "Alchemy of Souls: Part 2."

On August 26th, it was officially confirmed that the second part of "Alchemy of Souls" will premiere this year, in December. According to reports, the cast and staff of the drama are already filming and the series will conclude its shooting this fall. 

tvN confirmed the reports and shared that the second part of the drama is indeed airing in December. 

"Alchemy of Souls" is a fantasy romance drama that revolves around the people whose fate has been twisted because of a magic spell known as the "alchemy of souls." The first and second part of the drama is directed by  Park Joon Hwa and written by Hong Sisters Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran.

The drama started airing in June 2022 both on tvN and Netflix. The first part will conclude on August 28th. It was also revealed that, unlike the first part, "Alchemy of Souls: Part 2" will only have 10 episodes. 

"Alchemy of Souls" is led by Lee Jae Wook, Jung So Min, NUEST's Hwang Min Hyun, Shin Seung Ho, Yoo Joon Sang, Oh Na Ra, Yoo In Soo, Oh My Girl's Arin, and more. 

Last July, there were reports that Jung So Min will be replaced by Go Yoon Jung in the second part. The production team gave a brief answer and stated that they can't answer to the reports because it may be a spoiler for the ending of part 1."  

"Alchemy of Souls" will air the 19th and 20th episodes on August 27th and 28th, at 9:10 PM KST. The series can be viewed both on tvN and the global OTT platform, Netflix.

For the second part, all of the characters will return to the series. Jung So Min's position is the only one that's not yet confirmed. It was also confirmed that actor Do Sang Woo will be added to the cast in the second part. There might be new more casts to be added in the future.
