This will be the worst weekend of my life!!
reika wrote: I don't really think it's that bad people. For one, there's d-addicts.com where the subbers and raw uploaders actually put their works. Infact, I shared some people opinions that those streaming sites actually get their materials from d-addicts and just hardsubbed the subs and converted to a much lower res and upload on their sites.
I'm actually surprised that many drama fans actually watches on streaming sites. For one, quality is ofcourse much better on DA. :D

This may not be bad for you but for some of us this is the worst thing to happen as a drama fan. especially if you love jdramas like i do. for many of us downloading isn't an option. Also a lot of sub communities take a long time or are really difficult to get into. So while in a perfect world what you are saying seems reasonable this world isn't perfect. Streaming is a convenient option for many who need a drama fix and the quality isnt that bad. DC was the best site of its kind cuz it was always up to date, it had a clean, colorful, and user friendly design. It catered to more than just kdramas. It was my paradise as I only watch jdramas. But that is not the only thing we are losing with AC/dc we are losing the forums too. A community where I made many friends, learned more about Japanese culture, music and language. And where I discovered MDL. I blogged for the 1st time ever and started my 1st drama list on the AC/dc forums. For many of us DC was a part of our daily lives and that shouldn't be dismissed.
well it's really sad, but you can watch your dramas in other web pages, :-)
AC/DC shut down courtesy of DF... AC you will be sorely missed :(
DF was the cause?

Yup. They were part of the reason. I believe it was more of a tag team effort by subbers (That have wanted DC shut down for years now...) and DF who has been shutting down sites. Sites like Mysoju and others...

Let's stop blaming DF , it was already proven that DF was just one of any that was complaining, the biggest being the TVs producing the shows.
i saw the site... i hope it's not true. :(

I support DF. I have a subscription with them... But I'm still going to call it when I see it. They're are the number 1 K-Drama hosting site for targeting other sites... The hypocrisy is, that they were doing the same thing the other sites were doing originally...
I totally agree. You just described exactly the same situation I am in.

It would be really difficult for me to continue watching dramas, beacuse many sites are unavailable in my country. It's the third time something like this happened to me and once again I feel somewhat empty. DC was my beginning with asian dramas, through DC I learned about MDL and it accompanied me for the last two and half years. I will deeply miss it.

I have a subscription with them too, I just saying that we should not blame DF alone, SBS, MBC and other tv channel are also to blame when it came to those complaint there were not that happy of loosing money.
Just wanted to let you guys know the Dramacrazy.eu site is a fake. Keep away.
Found this:

The Joys and Worries of an East Asian Lover
The name says it all!

July 11, 2013 by eastasianlover

And Dramacrazy is back after one week of drama!

(Read the edited part below the video for sure before jumping to the site)
Yay! Yay! Yay! It is back. Yes my dear drama lovers.
Same interface, same huge collection (no, not same, but it’s still big, some things may have, as well, been lost), a lot of things same same. Check this out! (Almost sang it like they do in English movies) - http://dramacrazy.eu.
What is new you ask? The rankings! All I can see are Korean Dramas in their rankings. But oh well, it may take some time to be put up properly. We can understand. Just keep up your good work people. I am so happy that I’m gonna cry (just an exaggeration, I’m not that sentimental, you understand, right?).
And such a title you say? Obviously, why to cause all that drama when they were going to put it back again? They could’ve told us to wait for one week. Giving shocks like that!
Lol! And their server just went down because there are too many visitors. Anyways, I’ll just share this good news today
Happy Drama watching!
And on this happy occasion, today’s song is –
Edit – 12 July 2013 – Alright, I have to say this. I was pretty excited yesterday and wanted to tell the news to everyone. Now I have read a lot and seen the site properly too, there is a lot of difference – good and bad. Good – there are no ads (till now, touchwood). Earlier, whenever I clicked any link, an ad would pop up. Now, there is none. But this makes one wonder, how will they host the site for free then? Bad- there is no Speedy Joe. That can be attributed to the fact that the site has recently come up. But there is pretty much one mirror only.
When you check the FB page of Dramacrazy (.net one), they say, everything else with similar format is fake and even claim that these fake ones have virus/ are spyware infected. Dramacrazy.eu people say, it is the same. Don’t know, what to believe. I think I’ll wait for sometime and see if the new ones are able to bring back everything. In the mean time, we have gooddrama. (I had to post this because all traffic I’m getting on my blog right now, is on two Dramcrazy posts only. So wanted to clarify this.)

Update – 24th July 2013 – Finally, the original dramacrazy’s people have once again stated clearly that the new one is a fake. Seriously! Why all his drama? People have moved on. As for myself, I haven’t gone on new dramacrazy ever since, though I said I would wait.

Finally these are the words posted on their fb page – “ Just to clarify one more time since more and more people seem to think that we have come back on another domain. We have NOT (unfortunately). Any other site with our design/similar domain name is a FAKE! They are just a cheap imitation attempting to mislead our users. This goes for both Animecrazy and DramaCrazy. Like mentioned before, they are not us and are virus/malware infected. Avoid them at all costs.

Please Share/Tweet/ spread the (bad) news. Thanks.”

Now it’s up to you to visit new website or not. I’m done here.
