"Uncontrollably Fond" and "Descendant of the Sun" Anyone noticed that these dramas have finished filming before it airs?
Well I'd just like to say this is a really good thing because if this because a new trend, Korean dramas will never feel rushed any more, directors won't have to take criticism from some teenager online and change the script and finally a drama will be the drama it's suppose to be.
Simon and martina talked about this in their video" "issue's with the Kdrama industry" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17KCGxU8wGE
Where they talked about the issues with korean dramas and how its better to finish filming a head of time.
I honestly, think the quality of dramas will be better if they continued this way(Finish everything then air). I wanted to share this because this is really good news. Any thoughts?
They are also in the middle of pre producing Moon Lovers. It will air in the Fall.
That's really interesting! I do like it when dramas can be their most authentic selves with the stories depicted as the staff intended so I hope this does end up becoming a trend!
Cheese in the trap was preproduced.
@irish and it turned out amazing!
The Hong Kong and China industries have been doing this forever. Hk is not that successful cuz their dramas are failing. The Chinese market is quite successful though and I love how they air episodes everyday because they finished filming already. Korea could try it, but I enjoy the anticipating for new episodes every week. It's more thrilling like American series.
A lot of dramas up until this point have been dictated by viewer ratings and what the viewers want to see, which understandably ends up with a lot of them being pretty much the same (bar different - it's great, usually, when instead the story actually follows from the beginning to end how the directors and producers want it to go. This leaves little opportunity for rushed endings, plot holes and really left field scenes (like when a couple hates each other and then in the span of one episode they're acting as if they're married. Or the character you KNOW was supposed to be the second lead becomes the first.).
