The only Jdramas i have liked so far are: Buzzer Beat - basketball, drama, romance Kurosagi - drama, revenge, little bit of romance Tatta Hitotsu no Koi - sweet first love story

I haven't even finished Boys before flowers so I can't start Hana. There's an anime that had the same plot as Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge so I don't think I can get into that either... Nodame I can't do. If I was going to watch School romance I'd rather it be an anime >_> Liar Games although most people like it looks so damn corny that I can't even fathom watching it :( Kurosagi sounds interesting like Robin Hood. I might give that a try :) The quiz show 2 maybe...

"Bangs head against the wall" This is a lot tougher. I wish half the J-Dramas didn't look so corny

For a starter - Do NOT describe LIAR GAME, my favourite drama, as corny if you haven't even seen it. What exactly are you looking for?
Yamapi's Ending Planner?

Btw, Liar Game and corny? Seriously, it has a very good plot and though the set might appear a little surreal... corny? Where did you get that from?

This one seems a bit better than most of the others mentioned...

bokami wrote: hmm if raven is a male

maybe in Romance department...Densha Otoko will do....and the male lead's ugliness is no problem lol, i hope he watches anime for better fun.

This one actually seems interesting xD I think I might put it on my to watch list :2

I'm not a traitor YET "Runs away from Noona before getting beaten" :P
I keep seeing "Need Help LisNoir " on the forum page. All I can think of, is no psychiatrist can fix all her problems. (jk... sorta) :p
Raventhedark wrote: Nope never seen one :2 Sick of love triangles, and Zettai seems a bit Kinky lol 1 Litre doesn't sound very interesting to be honest... Bloody Monday I might give a try :)

Yeah, I thought the same after I heard about it. But if you ever have the desire to watch a Drama, that makes you cry really hard (At least in my case :P) then watch 1 Litre Of Tears.
Haven't watched any j-drama :s i have only watched j-drama so far though got some k-drama on plan to watch list Well anyway i would recommed: 1. Hana Yori Dango 2. Liar Game - am currently watching S2 <3 3. JIN - One and only historical drama i have watched so far and it was epic :)
LisNoir wrote: Romance is....eh....different in Japanese dramas. You will have to let go of Korean type of romance <3 when watching one...lol

I only watch Japanese dramas when I'm getting diabetic from all the sugar in Korean ones...lol But now I have Iris...so yeah...lol

And almost all mentioned are based on mangas...lol

I totally agree with you...

You really need to know where to draw the line. :)
Guilty Akuma to Keiyakushita Onna Ryusei no Kizuna Keizoku 2:SPEC (there's no romance but it's my #1 favorite) I went on a hunt on my list to look for historical/action/romance...but in the end the ones I feel like recommending are just my favorites. xD I don't know if you're up to watching Chinese dramas (I know I was apprehensive about watching them), but they did this beautiful historical+romance drama, Startling By Each Step, and it was mindblowingly good. The premise appears to be rather cliche, but the drama itself is looove. :)

I think Rain unnie liked (maybe loved) that. She gushed about it for weeks. I think she still does...lol

I loved that drama, too (:

Haha not all Jdramas are based on manga, some are based on novels, too :p But they do come up with their own stories. Let me go through my list...although truth is I watch more Kdramas these days =___=

Why bring up my nonexistant drawing ability? *looks up into sky and yells* Why did you curse me with these nonresponsive hands you cruel world?!

Also Pride is worth watching.
LisNoir wrote: Jajaja...yeah. They do look corny. And also they don't have shiny video quality like Korean dramas, so they look older than they are...I'm just telling you so you are prepared...lol

Zettai Kareshi is based on a manga...lol

I am NOT prepared Lol

and I have seen a good japanese romance with Kami in it but it's not on my list anywhere... I will go look for it

The Live version of Ranma I might be interested in, but like most of the rest were mentioned already... Is this all J-Drama has to offer? /sigh

What am I looking for? Something that isn't corny. Something that's NOT based on a manga. Something not based on School Romance And something that piques my interest... Seriously I saw the Liar Games thread earlier today. Although the plot seems a bit interesting I saw the preview video..... It was a total turn off......

I'm just going to go watch Bokami's suggestion now... >_> I have a feeling that's the only J-Drama I'll be able to handle.
