clever depiction of the cat and dog traits

Adorable overload. Good acting from young, inexperienced actors done well.Loved the opening scene and background upbeat music. We are given the crazy information of who these visitors are and then taken to review the day before for more understanding. There is plenty of cuteness and the actors are very easy on the eye.I like the unusual premise and am looking forward to seeing how this threesome plays out.

Animated cells keep this drama 'real.'

I enjoyed the quirkiness of this RomCom. Kim Yu Mi (Kim Go Eun) & Gu Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun) explore the ups and downs of falling in love and developing a relationship. The role of Yumi's cells is paramount to the enjoyment of this rom com. I love that we are given access to all of Yumi's thoughts and feelings, both rational and irrational through the lives and reactions of her 'cells'; little smurf-like cartoon characters representing different aspects of her psyche. For anyone who likes to reflect on character motivations this drama delivers in spades but all from Yumi's POV. Different aspects of her behaviours are allocated to a cell. This adds to the comic appeal as certain cells come to dominate and their responses drive some of Yumi's more irrational actions but also help her to sometimes be more assertive. I haven't read the webtoon (at 512 chapters I am expecting a second series at least) but this seems to me to be a unique take on how to depict a blossoming romance. The mixture of animation and acting mesh nicely and Yumi's expression reflects her inner turmoil brilliantly. It is a sweet romance and Woong adds an animal magnetism that ups the sexual chemistry for what are an essentially fairly ordinary, nerdy couple. The question left open at the end of season "Am I afraid Woong will leave me? Or am I afraid of being alone?"

A very gutsy drama.

What a startling and unexpectedly good surprise this drama was. The female lead is outstandingly written with a realism and gutsiness that I have not seen in any of the (228 last count) dramas I have watched. We are let into and given behind the scenes access to the Miss Korea pageant with Oh Ji Yeong (a former department store elevator operator) pitted against all the other title holders. The offer of financial backing and support from her ex, school, boyfriend in exchange for promotion of their revolutionary new product BB cream rekindles their relationship. The story is a gritty and realistic stripping away any pretense at fantasy glamour and focussing on the sheer physical effort required to present the perceived ideal. The tension steadily builds in the environmentally uncertainty of the 1997 IMF bailout. Access to monetary support, for the pageant and for the bb cream manufacture, stimulates some unsavoury behaviour. Throughout the drama I became invested in the main characters and Ji Yeong's family members. Their trials and tribulations are ably portrayed in all the everyday decisions that they confront. The women in particular shine as strong, decision making and smart.I would liken this plotline to an athlete preparing to compete in international competitions with a view to Olympic Gold. It should appeal to all genders who appreciate well written, well acted, drama that has a stark realism and depicts the struggles of ordinary people trying to not just survive but to succeed.
