WHAT THE ACTUAL

i am very dissapointed. i was rooting for this series because i love do bong soon so much. ga jelas bangettttt fakkkkk. things i hate :
- they could just more focused about the comedy aspects, heesik and nam soon relationship, family things like in do bong soon
- the chemistry's kinda off between them as a family karena how can they made nam soon yang baru ketemu and they made her dealing with stuffs
- the first few episodes was good. tapi semakin kesini makin kesana GAJELASSSS
- i don't even know heesik's background i was so excited for his character but they made it looks like he's a second lead i hate ittttt
- one of the things that keep me going was hee sik and his team yang kocak abis and he got less screen time like are you kidding??
- the amount of people praising si-o, stop it
- im not here for that grandma's puber kedua thing. it was funny at first, and i can't take it anymore
- and how about that pappa's bell that hit heesik head?? they should made it as a memorial between heesik and nam soon SEMUANYA SIA SIA
anyways, the writer sucks. this series will remind as a series yang menemani saya di kala per stressan skripshit (like twinkling watermelon). if the rumors are true that they renewed this for the third season pls be better (honestly, don't do that)

Indeed, a Masterpiece ❤️

Smile Code is a must watch. From the cast, to the storyline and even to the cinematography of this series, it was all superb!!!!

Moreover, the chemistry between real world besties, Linyi and Shenyue is soooooo real. The plot twist in thia series is really the superb acting skills of linyi and yueyue. I highly recommended this drama and I will always rewatched this 🤖🐈🌙❤️

You will surely feel an outburst of emotions. Every episode can make you want for more. I do not even want Smile Code to end. That's how the story creates a bond between the drama series and the audience.

The most hilarious duo aka Zhang Chu Lan and Feng Bao Bao!

I Am Nobody is a drama full of comedy and action and I have to say not a single episode was boring to me. As the story starts with Chu Lan finding out his gradfathers body was dugged out and went missing he met a girl named Feng Bao Bao on the graveyard, their meeting was comical itself, Feng Bao Bao fighting with ghosts and running like a ninja and Zhang Chu Lan just being there scared.

What I loved about this drama the most was the supernatural act and our clumsy yet funny main protagonist Zhang Chu Lan and even more funny and weird Feng Bao Bao. Their journey was full of discovering new things, fights and mysteries. On their journey they met a lot of new people, such as Wang Ye whom Zhang Chu Lan met on the Martial Arts Tournament. I loved the whole aspect of it, to see various supernatural powers other Outsiders holds. I just wish Neo Hou's character Wang Ye, had more screen time here. I also really liked the journey of Bao Bao finding who she is!

This drama was overaly so much fun to watch. The action was great and the characters were amazing as well! Can't wait for season two to come!

Well-written

The rating is based on my personal enjoyment, not on the intrinsic value of the drama. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so please be kind. If you disagree (and you probably will), please just move on.

Are you one of the C-drama fans that has actually not watched this show, and you are wondering if you should watch it? You definitely should. It is a standout in the C-drama genre. I watched it a couple of years ago and rated it lower. Who knows, if I watch it a couple of years from now, I may enjoy it even more! There is no question that it is, overall, very well-written. The cast was excellent. I especially loved the father/father figure. There was laughter, there were tears. The music helped draw out the emotions of certain scenes.

This drama is, for the most part, about what makes a family. It explores blood relationships, found relationships, and the strength of true friendship. It addresses actions and their consequences. It also speaks to the results of those consequences on others. We don't live in a vacuum, and what we do affects others, whether we like to think so or not. Then, there is the issue of anger/trauma and forgiveness.

The only reasons I couldn't rate it any higher for myself:
1) Too many episodes and some storylines that could have been cut - for example, the woman that kept trying to set the dad up with someone. Also, the constant back and forth of the two girls and their mothers' disapproval of their career choices.
2) Too much changing of who likes who, especially among the friends.
3) Romance fell flat. It wasn't supposed to be the focus, I know, but they never seemed to be more than friends. Even at the end, she still called him Brother. There was an episode or two that tried to develop this, but once they were together, they didn't act any differently than before.
4) I realize that this is a cultural thing, but letting your parents walk all over you for your entire life leaves a sour taste in my mouth. There's a difference between respecting your elders and being a doormat.
5) The parents' actions traumatized their kids enough that they were having nightmares, insomnia, etc., but, with a word, all was forgiven.
6) Regarding above-mentioned trauma - resolved too easily. Counseling wouldn't have gone amiss.
7) Both brothers thinking they like her, but one gets over it in a couple of days. Personally, with their closeness while growing up, I couldn't understand either of them liking her in a romantic way.
8) The ending was flat for me. Especially after sitting through 40 episodes.

Bottom line? I am definitely in the minority here, and I will still recommend this drama to others.

MBTI comes alive within the stories of people

Experiments begin with a hypothesis. And then a conclusion.

If I had to guess the hypothesis for MBTI Inside… perhaps the hypothesis are:
1) How different (or similar) are people from each other?
2) Is MBTI a reliable personality system? In other words, the real question is, can you box people into 16 personality types?

What’s my conclusion then, after watching MBTI Inside? Without representing the producer’s answers,
1) People are.. people and
2) MBTI is just another tool to help us communicate, understand and relate with others.

I like the simple structure that the organisers have with this social experiment. It’s 5 Days, 4 Nights of 16 people, each representing one of the MBTI type, interacting with each other in a place. They are divided into 2 groups for most part of each day: Day 1 explored Extroversion vs Introversion, Day 2 explored Sensing vs Intuition, Day 3 explored Thinking vs Feeling, Day 4 explored Judging vs Perceiving and Day 5 is the day they wrapped up. Each night, everyone cast a likability vote and optional dislike vote. It’s informative and insightful watching the interactions of people grouped in the respective categories. It helped one to simply understand MBTI while also asking yourself where would you feel more at home at.

The other thing I loved are the participants selected for MBTI Inside. Similar to any other variety show, people will be the heart of the program. Everyone comes with the right intention of wanting to understand themselves as well as the right level of curiosity and respect towards others. I love hearing their sincere answers during their interview segments, as well as their own wrap up / conclusion after going through the activities by the end of the program.

Watching this show also made me better understand myself (as well as the people in my life) through the participants’ heartfelt reflections and interactions. And though I felt closer to figuring out if I am indeed the “type” I thought I am, I think the essence of this program is ultimately to accept yourself, be curious of others, and that we can get along with each other even if we are different so long the right space is given.

A buffet of emotions

This is not your typical romcom story. It has substance and it tackles a lot of different aspects of young adult life. The good, the bad, and the in between.

It dealt with modern relationships. The working life of a typical adult where there are competitions and disappointments. The trauma from the past that affects the current you. Losing a family and navigating through life and loss. The friendships made. And again the importance of support system from a lover and friends.

I’ve seen a lot of people hating it because it’s not “fun” unlike the other romcom stories, but to me this is fun, it is great. The actors are great. The cinematography is great. The OST is great. What more can you ask for? (Anyway, I’d just like to say that the comedian Gu Yi has the humor based on their culture so not all people may like it)

Not gonna lie, if this made it to Netflix for sure this will be a big hit because people like a young adult like me would love to see someone like Gu Yi who is brave to love and who face her life positively amidst challenges. And there’s also Liang Daiwen who is strong enough to face life through his mental illness and his willingness to improve for himself and Gu Yi.

I really wish for this to be put on a wider streaming platform so a lot of people will be able to see this. It’s a pity because it deserves more praise.

One last thing, some people find it not good that this took 34 episodes. But I think this is enough to fully convey the story. There is the beginning to introduce the atmosphere and the plot. The middle where it has those problems arising between them. The redemption arc. The family arc. The final arc where they fully accepted themselves. I think people should give this more credit. They didn’t half assed the story where they just suddenly lived happily ever after.

Well this has been long. All in all, I love it. It’s a mixed of romance, fun, and reality. I’ll watch it again - definitely. :)

It's good but slow... I mean very slowwww

A story where two flawed and broken people find happiness(not the usual kdrama happiness where everything is fluffy and cute and cringe). It is a story which revolves around two people their crappy ex. Korea has a thing of contract marriages this year have seen many contract marriage dramas..
The trunk was an highly anticipated drama of 2024 and for all this anticipation it did disappoint me a little:( the drama was sooo...how do you call it?? It did not have that x factor which pinned me on my sofa to watch it.. I hope you got what i meant;) I was about to drop it but for Gong yoo i gave it another chance.
The performances by all the actors was above par they all did the best they could for what was provided to them. I love slow burn romances but this was a slow as a snail:/ I felt like the male lead is a baby with a lot of attachment issues in a big man's body and the female lead who is not ready to move on from her past.
The cinematography is commendable and the background score is also good. All of male leads cars are soooo god;]
So if you like slow burn romance with dark themes go for it it is a good watch

Touching story about tricky personalities

Presumably this is a “love story” but thankfully there is more to it than that. An excellent performance by Leo Wu, demonstrating that a child prodigy from a difficult background is not naturally blessed with good communication or emotional management skills. Zhao Jinmai likewise shows that an over-protected, pampered prodigy princess can be a good person who is also a terrible whiner and painfully immature at the same time; FL and ML are almost polar opposites. By the tail end of the series I had heard enough of her pre-schooler-in-a-shopping-trolley whining voice, even wondering if it was dubbed.(I have noticed in C-drama there are a lot of female characters acting like spoilt children and whining to get their own way or worm their way into someone’s good books; not doing women’s equality any favours with these nonsensical portrayals, but they could be doing exactly what the director told them to do). By the time the episode of the family restaurant scene came about, I didn’t want to watch anymore, even though I knew the character portrayal was faithful to the trajectory of her childhood development. I was too irritated to care anymore. I kept watching to see a secondary relationship develop with Wang Xingyue’s character (among others) and I was sadly disappointed when that did not occur. Good acting, nice music, interesting plot lines, worth watching. I won’t re-watch though.

Uninteresting and undecided

This BL lacks basically everything a BL should – at least for me – have: an engaging story, relatable and/or interesting characters, decent performances and chemistry between the main couple.
The story doesn’t have to be painfully plausible nor super realistic, it can contain a reasonable number of plot holes etc. etc. – but it has to be engaging, it needs to pull me in. The “Love Sea” story (there was one, you can take my word for that), was so uninteresting that I had to force myself to follow it. I also got the feeling that MAME couldn’t decide whether to focus on the relationship of Tongrak and Mahasamut or their personal issues (like self-doubt, trauma or inability to connect) or something else. The result, predictably, was poor: a story about a little of everything – eventually a story about nothing in particular. It was so unengaging that I couldn’t care less about its development or the characters involved.
Since I mentioned characters: I try to set the bar low – don’t be annoying, have something I will like you for and let me understand where you come from. Again, this was where “Love Sea” blew it, mainly because both main characters as well as the secondary couple are annoying like hell. This stems from both the script as well as from performances of Fort, Peat, Chanya and Aya (and Forth). Redeeming qualities? Hardly any and – in any case – far too few to balance it out. Sure, the story tried to explain why the characters are so unlikeable, but – at least for me – it didn’t change anything, I didn’t have a single “oh, now I get why X is like this – I’m gonna like X from now on” moment. If anything, I liked the characters even less.
I was wondering whether “Love Sea” would be any different – better perhaps – with a different cast. I still do not know that; what I know for a fact is that this cast made it worse. I used to think – having watched “Love In The Air” – that Fort and Peat had a decent chemistry; now I doubt that. There’s no chemistry between them here and the script is not helping it either; both Fort and Peat have exactly two poses each (Fort: smug and fake-caring; Peat: smug and whiny) and they switch between them, trying to produce something interesting – to no avail.

If you are in doubt to give this drama a chance DONTT!!! You will love it

3/6 episodes are out and mahn the series has all my attention...If you liked drams like Atypical family, moving etc you will like this one gor sure. The gifted people storyline is not new but the execution is definitely interesting the way they do not give us any idea of the gifts of the characters is new, usually kdramas introduce the gifts of characters early on in every shows. This drama is definitely underrated I don't get why it is not getting the attention it truly deserves.
Do give it a chance you will not regret it:):)

Con: you have to wait one whole week for every new episode

Amazing story and acting, uneven ending

This is an amazingly creative writing, a very unusual Chinese xianxia trope, which is a high praise.
Acting, cast, music are all on point. There are some episodes first half that’s more draggy than necessary but for most part you can’t skip. For this I deducted half point.
The other half point deducted is the ending. It could have been done better. Don’t worry it is a good ending but having invested 31 chapters, we deserved more closures to all the characters.

Overall highly recommended and enjoyable. This year is truly a good year for cdrama watchers.

A journey thru life and love

I absolutely love dramas that portray real life. It's like watching someone else's story unfold before your eyes. Just like all of us, the characters are flawed. They make mistakes, and sometimes, we don’t fully appreciate the value of someone in our lives until they're no longer there.

In this drama, at first, I was confused about why he didn’t believe in happy endings, settle down with someone he loved, or why he seemed to sabotage his past relationships. But after learning about his background, I thought, "Yeah, that makes sense." Our traits and approaches to love are often influenced by other factors, such as family issues or past relationships.

I love that they didn't create this series for people to fantasize about or romanticize the life of a gay person, because it was NEVER easy for them. I admire how they made it so realistic. One thing that made me love this drama was not the Gyu Ho and Go Yeong pairing, but Go Yeong's gay friends. The drama shows that while love may come and go, good friends will stay until the end.

I also want to mention that Go Yeong's relationship with Mi Ae was superb, but in the later episodes, we rarely heard about Mi Ae. Sometimes we have friends like that: we were really close in the past, but now they’re focusing on their own lives. There’s no beef or something, just new priorities.

It was nice seeing Go Yeong go through different kinds of problems and heartbreaks in life. Each of the guys he dated taught him something new. I really appreciate how flawed he was.

There were many topics addressed in this series, such as parents being in denial about their son's sexuality, the aftermath of sex, the idea that people can always change and grow, depression, and watching someone you love go through something. I loved it so much. I really hope there will be more series like this in the future, showing us that life isn’t always about being happy—and that’s okay. Life keeps spinning, and you just have to learn to navigate it.

Not everyone will like this, but if you can relate to Go Yeong—whether you're scared of coming out of the closet, or even if you're straight and enjoy watching someone go through different stages in life, sometimes lost, happy, or annoyed—then you'll probably appreciate this. It's not that sad, at least for me, but it's not exactly happy either. But one thing’s for sure, it somehow comforted me in an odd way.

I watched many kdramas but this is MUST WATCH MASTERPIECE!!

Must watch drama for kdrama fans. Really this is the best drama of 2024. I can rewatch it many times without boring. Many people like chaebol characters, powerful fantasy characters but this drama characters are common people. They talked about how their real life is hard. I most liked it because i felt the drama is real not just a drama. After i really touched that they choose woo do hwan as ML. He really nailed it. I fell for Hea jo because his traits. Also the FL & ML chemistry is soo good. Also the drama name is suits for ML. Lastly i hope every kdrama fan can watch this drama.💗💗

so good so far

I’m only on episode 2 and I’m addicted. the plot and the plot twists are really good. the casting is great Aswell the chemistry is there. I love the plotline romance meets mystery meets action. this popped up on my Netflix and I added it to my watchlist and started watching it last night. it’s great so far and I love it. the acting is great and I personally love romance/action plotlines especially in kdramas. there are 12 episodes in total and I can’t wait to watch all of them. for some reason the setting reminds of penthouse- it could just be me but it gives that vibe.
