Every episode gave me strong emotions.

This is an excellent drama I happened to stumble upon and I have no regrets! I have not watched that many dramas but I absolutely love this one. I cried so hard and it felt good to watch this. Although I must say I have never rooted anyone like I rooted for the supporting actor (Jang Ki-yong).

I definitely recommend this. The premise may not be original or you may find it a bit cliche but this drama's take on it was amazingly great!

Always Have Kleenex Near

This is the most I've ever cried while watching a show. The storyline is heart-wrenching but realistic. Second-lead syndrome is definitely real in this. I've only ever seen people talking about Nam-Gil and Jin-Joo but I'd like to point a spotlight at Seo-Young and Ban-Do. I think they had a lot of chemistry, and I felt bad for her and Nam-Gil as you knew that Jin-Joo and Ban-Do clearly still love each other. Scenes including Jin-Joo and her mother are especially heartbreaking. Oh and be sure to have a whole box of Kleenex on you for that last episode.

I just finished this series just a year ago and i just wanted to make a review about these. The series is a complete success for me because it made me laugh and made me cry at the same time. "Don't waste your chance" would be the moral lesson of the series, since the show promotes on correcting your mistake for second chances. I was somehow relate myself from the story since there are parts where Ban Do trying to correct his mistakes somehow it ended up being failed which really hit me hard. You'll just find yourself crying if you ever relate yourself on how the story goes.

Heartfelt romantic-comedy drama with a twist of fiction

This is one of the most heartwarming drama that I've ever seen.

Although this is a romance drama, it also touches other subjects like family, youth, friends and life all in one great production. At first I thought it would be just like Emergency Couple but I was surprised when they added the element of time traveling in the story making it unique on it's own sense. The way that the introduction was presented is very realistic since it's true that in real life, marriage doesn't really mean a happy ending. Rather than an ending, marriage is a new beginning and that's how they derived the story from. Aside from the main leads' marriage issue, throughout the drama you'll come across the story of their families and also their friends during college.

Jang NaRa really made her character comes to life as a housewife who lose confidence in herself through the years of marriage and started to live her youthful years again. The acting is very natural specially on the crying scenes. More than theromantic scenes of Jang NaRa and Son HoJoon, I find the scenes of Jang NaRa with Kim MiKyung together very touching. I cried a lot seeing them together. The chemistry as mother and daughter is really there which is fantastic.

The supporting characters also made their characters come to life as their story were also included. I really felt like they were college friends and everything is very natural. The second leads, Jang KiYong and Go BoGyeol made me think twice if they are better partner for the leads. Second lead syndrome is real.

This is definitely a hidden gem in the K-Drama Land with a great idea and cast altogether. It will surely make you laugh and cry with the characters.

This movie is one of a kind story. It talks about relationship especially to married couple. It is an ordinary scenario bit it realy existed in our real world. I know going back to the future is some kind of a fiction movie but the bulk of the story is so much relevance in our lives. The truthfulness of the story really capture my heaart. The actors especially the main characters carried me away. There are brilliant bravo!!! The sincerity of the main actors brought me to tears... yeah it has a crying part but it also funny it reminds me about my struggle suring college life... hehehehe.. anyway, every episodes are full of depth that you dont want to miss it.... so watch this and you will not regret this..

The simple spoiler-free version of this review: Great cast, cute storyline. It's shorter than a typical 16-episode drama, which I actually thought was a good idea overall since it could definitely feel like things would drag if continued on.

Adding a small spoiler warning for the below!

I'd tried to give this drama a go a while back but somehow never got past the second episode. However, I love the entire cast so in hunting for a new drama, I decided to give this another chance. I thought the premise to be interesting (love an exes back to lover storyline ... I suppose you don't know when you start if they'll get back together, but honestly, when do they not?) and I really enjoyed how they shared snippets of what really happened in the past compared to what happened in the new version of the past.

While I don't know if such revelations about a relationship are as 'easy' in real life ( AKA if we were to go back in time, would we be able to see how we missed certain things in our relationships? Would redoing that past really be able to tie together a relationship again? ), it was nice to be able to see the main couple realize the circumstances that separated them and helped to make their relationship stronger the second time around. I would have liked to see more than just a half episode of their new present, but I guess that's not the point of the drama. Could easily make for a cute short series on what happens next, but I doubt that that'll happen.

this drama is soo warm. I enjoyed it a lot, it is kinda slow but the whole story is very heartwarming and just so beautiful for me to skip any scene. the story about regrets and second chances love it so much. romance, family, friendship and life were all included in this drama. there were many emotional scenes, and I cried a lot too. the acting was good, nothing bad or awkward and nothing really stands out. since there were only 12 episodes, I enjoyed it even more. it wasn't draggy. I guess if it's 16 episodes my rate would be lower. anyways incase you need a warm drama, watch this.

This drama becomes one of my favorite drama after i finished watching it. Marriage is not the end of everything. The drama is about a 38 year old married couple who decided to get divorce after 14 years of married life .

The plot was very interesting and one you find out the mysterious fantasy behind the couple, you will definitely surprised and curious to know what would happen next. Every episode from first to the 12th was a different experience to me.

You should just give it a try. Because it would be an amazing drama experience especially when you touch the finale episodes.. emotional driven and may broken your heart after watching in it.

Lack of direction

This story should have been of 2nd chance of a couple.. but most of the series the 38 years old fl was just getting led by the nose by 20 year's old boy.. it's so stupid...
We get to know the problems and resolutions of their marriage by the last two episodes. Other 8 episodes are typical rom com..

There are already plenty of well written reviews of this show. Just wanted to add that some of the comical scenes were so fresh that I couldn't help chuckling even well after the episodes were over.

My favourite LOL segment: when 20yo Ma Jin Joo and her 2 girlfriends tried to walk down a steep slope in high, high heels. The 2 girls carefully "surfed" down, whilst our over-confident heroine started off well but couldn't stop going down. I could just picture myself doing the same stupid thing. Of course if I had the gorgeous Jung Nam Gil to catch me, I'd do it again in a flash!

I truly enjoyed this well-written drama, with its strong cast. The beyond-the-happily-ever-after look into marriage, followed by the journey of falling back in love was beautifully crafted. Loved, loved, loved Kim Mi Kyung as Mum, and her chemistry with her daughter. She shone brightly with her warm and beautiful aura. Jang Na Ra was the best I have ever seen her. Son He Jun was pretty good, just a bit unconvincing in the truly sad parts. Jang Ki Yong made my eyes happy :)

I watched Go Back Couple after watching 18 Again and was afraid that the dramas were too similar and that I would make some unfair comparisons. Surprisingly, the storylines were quite different, with Go Back Couple focusing on university students’ lives while 18 Again was more focused on the father’s relationships with his children and wife as a high school student. I have to say, I absolutely hated Choi Ban Do in the beginning of the drama, and I’m definitely not alone in this. While he did seem to redeem himself in the last part of the drama and even made me shed some tears for him, I would have liked a little bit more closure with the couple, since I was left with the impression that the two returned to their time mostly because of the child and not because they thoroughly reconciled their differences. I could have also done without the unnecessary “love triangle” since it’s generally very hard for me to root for the second lead when I already know that the married couple will eventually end up back together. Instead of acting as a good friend for the FL like the second FL did for ML, he was mostly just a very annoying obstacle that was exacerbating the misunderstandings and starting unnecessary drama between the leads. It just got a little old after a while. Overall though, this drama was great and did a great job of tying up loose ends and fully exploring the idea of two middle-aged adults turning back into university students. I had a lot of laughs when they acted way older than regular students, and the mother-daughter relationship here was absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful. I’d imagine it would hit very close to home for people whose mothers also passed away. This is a beautiful drama full of amazing life lessons. Just don’t get too mad at the ML, he’s trying his best.

Marriage is a bumpy ride.. Prepare the tissues.. You will need them for these.

I have seen this series recommended multiple times… so finally decided to check it out.
Totally worth it.

It starts with a painful break up based on extreme circumstances. Life is hard, especially for new mothers and fathers. Time becomes a commodity/ escarse resource in your life… days blend together and suddenly the joy of living is no longer visible.
That’s so true… that is the test of life for JJ and Ban Do.
In a mkment of pain, JJ wishes never to have met Ban Do… and her wish comes true… they both go back in time to the time right before they met.
Filled with knowledge of the future and opportunity, ghey bith embark in reliving their youth… which is understandable. No responsibility of a family… living under the parents.. enjoying student life… who would not want more?

Here is where you see the diff approach between men and women… Ban Do took the chance to court the first love, a ballerina dancer who he never dared to ask on a date. “His maybe… if…”. While JJ spent her time enjoying her family life with her mom.

I hated how Ban Do treated JJ… always putting her down, to a humiliating break point. Also JJ was not nice to him. For most of the series, I wished them happiness separately… but of course, in korean drama fashion… they found their way back to each other.
Their love was there… buried under the boredom and routine.

The series has a steady pace, keeping it interesting and the support characters were funny and lovable as well.
I enjoyed it very much… and both JJ and Ban Do managed to make me feel their emotions and end up wishing them luck and success…
Ending was ok for me.

Music was really nice.
Overall… I recommend it and would watch it again… its now one of my top series.
