Amazing!
I don’t usually write reviews because I suck at them but this was worth it. I just finished and I’m still smiling from ear to ear. Such a beautiful story and such a beautiful background. It portrayed the fears and anxiety that can come with being gay and the idea that love conquers all. The ending was beautiful and almost had me in tears. Definitely rewatching this.On a different note the actors were amazing and the music fit perfectly. The story was also very well made.
Can’t wait to rewatch!

I LOVED this - the story was brilliant, not too much drama and 'death, doom, destruction' that usually accompanies such dramas.STORY - the story was very good. There was an age gap of about 11 years and a child from a previous relationship for the character Shi Yi Jie (wonderfully portrayed by Jiang Chang Hui - aka Steven). He also had an ex-wife but, without adding spoilers, I can't say much more on her. The younger character Fei Sheng Zhe (played by the very cute Zhang Xing - aka Hunter) was the right balance of emotionally damaged (due to traumas at high school) wariness and desperate to love, nurture and be loved in return soft-heartedness. His relationship with Yi Jie's daughter, Yo Yo, was wonderful too. It had a happy ending and never left you feeling disappointed. the last scenes definitely made me smile...but a teary one of happiness.
ACTING/CAST - here's why I only gave this 9.5.......the KISSING. Seriously, I know that Hunter was the young and inexperienced student, they're straight men in RL and all that - but guys come on, kiss PROPERLY. They're supposed to be besotted with each other and yet the kisses (on hunter's part to be fair to Steven) was just VERY tame. Hunter seemed determined to keep it to the always disappointing 'lip bumping' no matter what Steven tried to do to make it more realistic. That is the ONLY reason I gave it a 9.5; the wife's character was a nutjob anyway, so any overacting there can be forgiven. The storyline was a lot for a little girl to take on and understand, so a major pat on the back for the little girl who played Yo Yo; she did a really good job. The other two characters who were Sheng Zhe's student friends were also well portrayed.
MUSIC - the music was good; the ending song was the best. It didn't have the catchiness that the songs from series one did - but they were still good and I liked the ending song in particular.
REWATCH VALUE - well, I've already watched the last three episodes three times so I can definitely say that it's 10/10. What I did like a LOT was the hugging, little touches, affection and cuddling that was included - I have a gay cousin and I know she's like that with her partner; it's not always all sex and passion. the LGBT community have the same companionship and affection side of their love as we do,and it was so genuinely nice to see it properly portrayed for once. It's one of the reasons for me rewatching the last three episodes almost on repeat.....it made those episodes the cutest of the eight.
OVERALL - although the little indicator above suggests 9.5 as an overall score - for me this has to be a 10. Sure the kissing was a bit tame (especially in the bed scene), but other than that it was such a well acted, beautifully cute and low drama story that to not give it a 10 would be criminal. HIStory: Right or Wrong is a MUST WATCH for any BL fan.....in fact anyone who loves a decent love story and can look past the bad kissing.

Cutest thing ever
This series was literally the cutest thing ever ???I was originally going to rate it 8/10, but the last 20 minutes of the series changed my mind completely.
It has that older men/ younger man thing to it, but I feel like that made it so much better. Out of the other “History “ series that I have seen so far, this one is my favourite.
The younger ML is just the definition of adorable and how the older ML doesn’t let the younger ML go after he confirms he likes the younger ML is just uhhhhhhhhhh???
Just amazing

Right or Wrong is the story that left a significant impact on me. I think the series is very timely as it touches on the hot button topic right now in Taiwan, which is the fight for marriage equality. What makes this series interesting for me is that the main characters Shi Yi Jie is not only divorced but he has an 8 year old daughter while Fei Sheng Zhe is a young innocent guy back by unfortunately sad experiences as he was betrayed and bullied in the past. I think this is a thinking BL, because it makes you look at the situation from the character's reference point. It makes you ask the questions on why they're behaving like that, and where are those behavior's coming from. I think central to the story line is trust. Both Shi Yi Jie and Fei Sheng Zhe has trust issues from their individual past experiences. And this trust issues came into question in couple of important scenes that defined where the plot is headed to. Personally, I think, both actors brought a lot of emotions to their scenes which makes this an effective BL movie with high re-watch value. I felt good after watching this movie, I feel that all the things that I expected to happen were covered by the story line. So this is a beautiful movie. Was this review helpful to you?
liked the story
The first episode was very chaotic to me. It went back and forth without context, it was very confusing.luckily it didn't take long. Once the story really took off, it got very endearing and I really fell in love with the characters.
i say characters, not actors, 'cause personally I think the acting was a bit of a letdown. There were times when the student was supposed to be crying but it looked more like smiling, almost laughing to me.
I can't believe no one in production noticed this.
Luckily the story made up for it. Especially the last episode gave me the warm and cuddly feelings quite a few times. So all in all, not bad

Missed opportunity to greatness
C+When you think the party is going to be lit but ended up bland.
The first thing I cannot forgive this show is the clear lack of complicity in the leads’ acting. You. Need. To. Step. Up. Some if not many actors play in BLs to gain experience and visibility in the process. You might as well go for it all the way. Push it further and let go because you’re here to tell a story and deliver. I don’t know, I think it could have been much better with a different cast.
Steven Jiang seemed more self-assured and in it than his partner. At the end, it also felt a little off, I don’t know if it’s just me. Either they didn’t give it their best or they didn’t have enough will to it together.
It felt simple, tl;dr. Need it spicy.
The story starts off well and promising. Shi Yi Jie reminds me of one of my teachers at the uni whom I had a little crush on. Therefore it felt relatable though not enough since there wasn’t the level of rising tensions there is when you fall for someone to the point where it even crosses some boundaries. I mean, romance-wise, I wasn’t sold. The 16 yo kid who almost sells his ass in the street somehow becomes dead inside at 19 and doesn’t want the relationship and just keeps doing chores and taking care of the teacher’s daughter. The teacher who somehow fell for him tries and pursues him playing the therapist. It was flat. Where’s the passion? The excitement? Maybe it was too household-y. What’s with the ex-wife sudden comeback? Why so much of the little girl? There wasn’t enough of the scenery necessary to the character internal focalisation.
Nice concept. Barely exploited.

Great Rewatchable Story
**Brief Synopsis**B (Student): Fei Sheng Zhe
T (Teacher): Shi Yi Jie
- Beginning: B is a student at the university T teaches at. B is also taking care of T’s daughter after T had helped him some time ago. At first T only cares about his work and not his family, but B slowly gets him to change and get him to come back more so he can spend time with his daughter.
- Middle: As they start spending time together as a family, T starts to realize that he wants B as a partner rather than a simple nanny. He immediately tries to find out what B is thinking and once he is sure B feels the same, he confesses.
- End: T gives B some time to think it over but tells him that he won’t accept no for an answer. B does finally agree to date him after he told T about his past trauma. But before they could have their happily ever after, T’s ex wife appears and isn’t too happy about their relationship. She tells him that T will get bored and reminded of his past trauma, B runs away. T catches up to him and forces him to believe that he will not leave him. The series ends with B and T married and starts life as real husbands.
**My Opinion**
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT:
- I love how healthy this relationship is. Things are talked out and thanks to T, no misunderstanding takes place. When it comes to relationships, sometimes you just need to put aside all embarrassment and say how you are feeling. If T had hesitated, this show would have been a lot more angst.
- I really love the visuals of seeing them together. They also have great chemistry together, making their intimate scenes really hot.
- I love how their relationship developed. The little girl is also adorable and adds to their dynamic.
- I love the ending after they have gotten married. I’m really happy to see a society where all relationships are accepted.
- I love their interactions and how T takes care of B, mentally and physically. You really can feel the affection between them.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT:
- The acting isn’t really good at times, making it awkward to watch.
- The editing makes it look cheaply produced.
- It was way too short, but at least the plot doesn’t feel rushed.
**Conclusion**
I loved this show so much and will rewatch it again for sure.

A CUTE FAMILY WITH 2 DADS
I found it better than HIStory 2: Crossing the line. The plot was nice. Along with the kid, 3 of them looked really cute togather. Inspite of the age difference, the MLs had a good chemistry. The Professor was really hot!! XDSome issues like - being bullied because of being gay, being a divorced guy with a kid...these were dealt with preety well. But, the teacher- student relationship, how they could be affectionate even inside the college campus, and the gossip of students and other social issues were kind of ignored. Even though they did say they didn't care, I think it's kinda unrealistic. But then, the whole point of the drama was to encourage self-happines and prioritising oneself rather than caring about the society. So I guess that's okay. Even though IRL, things will be lot more hard to endure but definitely with a strong will and love, people can get through everything.
At the point where the ex-wife came in to beg her ex-husband's bf to let go of him...I seriously stopped watching. I was like- please don't let this be one of those plots where one of the MLs leaves the partner for the sake of his family and eventually realises they can't live without each other and gets back together. But, Thank God it wasn't! He firmly denied her. That's when I was happy and continued to watch the drama. Overall it's good. A cute, feel good drama.

Finally decent story from HIStory series
After the chaotic story from 1st series, a little doubt want to watch another short drama from this series. But since it's short I still do for fill the blank before sleep... Haha... And kinda glad to watch this one...This drama have good story tell, beginning - middle - end. They take their time to groom both man relationship & trust. Although still in my opinion the beginning they kinda rush it, it's all happen so fast. We even missing the moment Shi Yi Jie (YJ) ask Fei Sheng Zhe (SZ) to be the babysitter, or at least in the version that I've watch. Suddenly SZ already be the babysitter for YJ's daughter.
This drama tell the story about how SZ & YJ grooming & getting closer to each other without them realizing it. The struggle with trauma & society view about gay, especially the one that previously married & have children.
What I really like how YJ take their relationship seriously. Even talk to SZ's mom about their relationship.
Overall quite satisfied with the drama...

Though plot is important, it only becomes perfect if it is executed well. A movie with a simple plot can turn into a beautiful film if it is portrayed well. I loved the story behind the series because it discussed about a lot of societal issues but I just couldn't feel the burden.
I loved the film but I just want more I guess.

soft, sweet, heartwarming
i never write reviews but this drama was so sweet it melted my soul. i was wary about the student/teacher trope but it didn’t feel gross or groomy at all in my opinion. i really enjoyed how heartwarming the story was and the ending was everything i wanted. i’m already on my way to rewatch this any time i feel sad. all the main characters are loveable especially the daughter. i feel stupid for putting off watching it honestly, highly recommend giving it a shot if you enjoy soft sweet stories as much as i doWas this review helpful to you?
