But despite all that, Time Slip Dr Jin kept me interested. I think part of it was all the unintentionally funny moments. The sets, plots, and action scenes were also pretty good. But the main thing was Kim Jae Joong playing Kyung Tak. You could tell he was giving his all in every scene. Most of the other actors checked out after the trainwreck. Jae Joong kept it up and provided a lot of the highlight scenes towards the end. I think he did an amazing job. Honorable mentions also go to the guys who played the Prince Regent and Young Hwi. They were okay most of the time.
The music was alright, but edited in awkwardly, causing some of those unintentionally funny parts. I really wish this show had been better, but it was just okay. Hopefully Jae Joong gets to be in a better drama next time.

NOTE: I'm a Sageuk drama fan but my younger sister isn't.
Alright, I knew I wouldn't listen to her if she told me to not watch this drama because she doesn't even watch the Sageuk dramas I tell her to watch... I did listen to her though when she told me to not watch this drama because a lot of people in the internet said the same thing as her, "This drama is not worth wasting time!" I want my wasted 22 hours back!" This drama sucks..." okay you get my point(I know you all heard the same!)
But I got to say, I quite enjoyed this drama and regret not watching it after it finished airing! It kept me on the edge of my chair(well not really since I watched this drama in the comforts of my bed. Okay, it had me griping my pillow :p ) I wanted to know what will happen to Dr. Jin, if Kyung Tak and Young Hwi will finally fight along each other, if the Prince will be able to reach his goals...
Ah, I don't want to spoil it! Well, all I can say is that I recommend this drama for those who are able to stand a political drama :o It doesn't have any romance between the leads in the past(only care) and just a warning, the drama will have you confused in the end... I would have given this drama a 10 if it wasn't for such confusions >.< I find them minor though so nothing to worry about!
Anyways, I do have to mention this for those who like to see such strong bromance in dramas because this drama has it. Honestly I cheered for them instead of Dr. Jin returning to his time! LOL Kyung Tak and Young Hwi gave me such feels~ hehe :3

The story isn’t bad once you realize that the whole plot is based on Dr. Jin trying to save the girl. All the rest is just his journey as he tries to achieve his goal. There are so many holes in this time jump story that it becomes ridiculous. So, I say just ignore all of that and enjoy it for what it is. Honestly, Dr. Jin wasn’t my focus in this drama anyway. I spent most of my time concerned with Kyung Tak, which is the son of the “bad guy” in this drama.
Kim Jae Joong plays Kyung Tak to perfection. I felt more deeply for this character than any of the other characters. He stole the show!!! I gave the acting a higher rating based mostly on him. Song Seung Hun is Dr. Jin and he does a good job, but I didn’t really care what happened to his character after a while. They don’t really explain anything anyway. Park Min Young acts well and is as pretty as ever. I liked both of the characters she plays although you only get glimpses of her as Mi Na. Lee Won Jong who plays Joo Pal is in like a ton of dramas and he always does a good job, but seriously…how many dramas can a man do in one year??? It is crazy!!!
The music is fine, but nothing that I remember.
I guess I recommend this drama to people that like historical dramas and medical dramas. I don’t enjoy either, so I’m not sure why I watched this in the first place. LOL However, I am happy because I really enjoyed Jae Joong and look forward to seeing him in more dramas.

It had intrigue and suspense and mystery and was unpredictable till the very end, much unlike the typical completely cliched dramas where you could practically predict what would happen next, word for word.
Although I expected it to be much like Faith, it completely exceeded my expectations, staying true to the medical drama form, and much more interesting than the usual medical dramas as it was set back in the Joseon period and was also intertwined with actual history. Time Slip Dr. Jin managed to weave time travel, alternate universes, the butterfly effect and other theories that so called 'similar' dramas failed to take notice of, and I think that it was this that set this drama in a different league.
The characters were reasonable and practical and realistic (at least, mostly) and this definitely gave the drama the depth that many other dramas lack. I honestly loved it!

Story: The first 5 episodes were kind of just crazy but slow at the same time. I was getting the feeling that all we were going to see the entire drama is random people just dropping like flies and Jin has to try and come up with different ways to save them. But then as the drama progressed I started to see that there was an actual plot starting to develop (the royal politics, love triangle, advancing medical technology, the Gisaeng’s mysterious connection to Jin). So for me anyway the drama did get better and better with each episode that passed and I really enjoyed it till the end. With that all being said, the drama wasn’t perfect because I found myself lost and confused many times but hey I was just happy I didn’t have another boring drama on my hands.
Acting/Cast: I hate to say it but wow was this the wrong part for SSH! Im a fan but his historical look was awful and his line delivery was monotone, which made his character really boring. Oddly enough though during his modern scenes I found his acting okay. I think he should stay away from historicals all together. As for Lee Bum Soo, its hard not to notice that he totally stole the male lead status away from SSH. His character development was amazing as he went from being this crazy alcoholic looking bum on the streets to a man in power that is respected by many. Lets face it, he pretty much carried the show. So...I was proud of rookie Jae Joong as his acting was kind of shaky in the beginning but you can tell he practiced really hard and got stronger by the end of the drama. Park Min Young was really good but I feel like her character was useless to the story and she looked like a really young girl in her historical garb so it was really strange for me to watch her scenes with SSH.
Music: Good fit for the drama but not memorable. Nice sounding song by Jae Joong though but kind of boring at the same time.
Rewatch: I liked it well enough the first time so I wouldn’t mind watching it again but it would be way down the line.
Overall Dr. Jin isn’t that bad as everyone is making it out to sound. Hey if it got someone like me (who doesn’t dabble in this genre too often) to watch till the end, then it’s pretty watchable.

Loopholes, twists, and more!
This drama is rather old, yet i decided to give it a try.The story is quite good, with the typical time travel aspect, but the writers decided to make it so complicated that it was turned into a cringe-worthy drama!
You won't get answers regarding the things that happen in the drama.
The cast is pretty decent. The leads have great chemistry and develop very well, but again due to the nonsensical complications, their relationship becomes nonsense too.
The music is rather average, except for one song that is so relatable to the drama.
Overall, a veryyyyy average and cringe-worthy drama. Not recommended.

First of all, I enjoyed this drama because it’s an historical drama. Though there isn’t romance, it has a touch of modernity because of Jin. In the historical part it’s interesting to see how people used to live and see how there is so much of conspiracy in a court. The political part is really good. The drama may be a bit boring because problems arise, calm down and then arise again!! It’s repetitive sometimes.
But despite this, Time Slip Dr. Jin is a worth watching drama!!
The acting is also really good. As the main characters you have Lee Bum Soo who did an awesome performance. In my opinion he is the heart of the drama. I was also surprised by the acting skills of Kim Jae Joong. You must really watch it for yourselves! Don't listen to the rates. Just watch it!

Plot is awesome, for the start I was hooked into the story line. I never watched medical drama before and I never image that it will be so interesting to watch. All the twist in political fights between two major opponents were amazing to watch. They always surprised me with some ace up their sleeve.
I was skeptical in Song Seung Hun acting skills. In mine opinion he had some ups and downs but overall he did very good. As for the leading lady of this show, I'm not a really big fan of Park Min Young acting as well, but she wasn't so bad at it. They gave her spine and moral character that we can look up to. But as a main heroine I preferred Lee So Yeon. She was just as I image she would be- perfection.
Of course Lee Bum Soo was wonderful in every frame in every minute of the show! And his laugh I love it! Really complex character that is amazing to watch thought Lee Bum Soo performance. His growing in this show to become a really great leader. He is one of two mine favorite characters in this drama. The second one is Kim Jae Joong. Although he irritates me a lot in his actions and "I can't made my mind" attitude his situation in the plot is not that easy to handle.
All instrumental background music was so well fit with the story and Kim Jae Joong voice makes me sentimental and melancholic every time I hear it. You can actually hear his struggling to succeed.
Re-watch value is a little low, because if I do re-watch some dramas, they are usually funny ones.
This drama is about change and revolution , about love that cannot be, about strong but difficult friendship, about family blood that defines us, about life and death threatening decisions that had to make and a miracle of life that can be saved with medical knowledge.
I'm a little disappointed they did not give us logical explanation why did dr.Jin traveled thought time... all well I like this show anyhow.

I really learned a lot about the Joseon Era and I was looking up on the internet parts that were unclear to me.
Song Seung Hun, is a really great actor and his emotions are so real. Really love him in this drama.
Jae Joong was the bad guy you loved to hate, he really nailed this role, I was cursing him so much, then loved him when you realized everything he did was because he wanted to be loved by his father.
The psychic ginseng got on my nerves as her motive was to get Dr. Jin, of course it did not work. The surgery scenes were too graphic and I had to look away from the screen on occasions.
But it was great, and filled with sword welding, fight scenes, humour etc

* the only bad thing about this drama is that the time travel thing was missed up...so what it's just an hour in 22 hours...this drama is mainly a Sageuk so If you don't like Segeuks you won't like it...otherwise I don't think it's that bad - at least for me it wasn't a waste of time ^.^
* the OST was good
* I'll re-watch it few years from now
***PS: I did a research about the historical background of the drama & I've got to say that I really appreciate what the writer & Lee Bum Soo did to Lee Ha Eung's role...they did a great job turning that evil man who killed thousands of Koreans for their religion to such a sweet person who wouldn't change his morals (I get now why Lee Bum Soo accepted that role after his success in History Of Salaryman)
*hope that was helpful :)
