I feel like a 8.5 for this show is pretty acceptable. Like it wasn't over the top but it wasn't crap. Lol.

It starts off with a girl that has a traumatic past that goes through something mentally and it sucks because she doesn't know what she needs to do or how to help it in any way. You have a business man that really just minds his own, has a funny assistant, has a strained relationship with his brother and all in all, this show is like What's Wrong With Secretary Kim but like...not as dramatic honestly. Lol. The two cross each other because of fate really and the rest is kind of history. The perks of this show is the female lead is sweet and adorable, hard working and understanding. The male lead tries to be aggressive and mean but he's really sweet, has a soft spot for the FL and even when he's trying to be tough, he cares for her and I love that for them. LMAO. At first things are a little put off because of misunderstanding and your average bickering but the chemistry they had and evolved into was wonderful and the kisses were...*chefs kiss*; also the side stories, not even bad. I also LOVE that the girl that had a crush on the ML didn't come and try to be a home wrecker lol love when it's not toxic.

The acting was great! I personally have never seen the main leads in any shows but they did fantastic and I like that they clicked together. I liked the brother a lot more in Girlfriend because he wasn't a jerk but he played a good actor because you couldn't tell who he was actually helping. I also liked the best friend, she was great in Go Go Squid, great in this show too. So all in all, I liked everyone and everything.

The music was sooo nice. Like so nice. I really liked that they timed the instrumentals perfectly; it's a rare occurrence for that.

You know what? I rarely rewatch shows, but I think I just might. They were honestly so sweet together, had great kisses, were not toxic at all and they really were just trying to do what they need to do for each other and I dig that. So overall, a great show. A fluffy kind of show with a cliche storyline but you know what I say, old but gold in my book.

Sweet romance met with dark background/past

Good thing this drama is 25 episodes, any longer and it would of gotten draggy. Overall this is a good watch but it wasnt my most favorite. The song intro portrayed a lot of cute and sweet scenes.( which there were), but it isnt your average cute love story. I would say the backstory is some what dark. I mean the female lead had a trauma past incident , when she gets scared she goes into sleepwalking phase where she basically is not conscious. Her only medicine is the main male lead.

Male lead is a ceo of a film company. Female lead is an voice actress. Through an incident she believes that the person who can help cure her is the second male lead , aka male lead's brother. Second male lead is a famous idol, that's how she gets to know the male lead. The mom tricks the female lead to become the maid for male lead, but she though it was for the idol ( which he could help her if she gets scared.) the cure is for them to hug or kiss lol . Male lead ceo is step up rules in his house and if you break them, you have to pay a fine. Thus beginning their bickering and eventually developing into love :)

Romance- First of all the female and male are so cute together. They have really cute and sweet scenes. They have a good chemistry with each other. Their kisses are also believable and passionate. They also are shy to show that they are in love . The second male lead also ends up liking the female lead ( no big surprise)

To me the development of the relationship between the male and female lead was kinda slow, i think like 14 episodes in/after that they are actually together. Also the latter half focused on her getting her memory back about what happen to her and the kidnapping when she was young. The kidnapping part of the story is where i minus some points. Some parts didnt really make sense... like they were like young when it happened but the story portrays it like its couple years ago that happen. Maybe for the flashbacks they didnt do it obvious enough... im like what? In the process of her finding our what happen during the kidnapping is when it turns a little more dramatic. its no longer the cute love story... so just be aware.

One annoying character I could not stand, was how that character knew that when the female lead sees something scary it triggers her sleepwalking and annoying evil side character did that like many times... to mess with her and mess her voice acting screen ....

I would say romance is half of the story and the other half is finding out what happened in the past.

Lots of laughs and affection <3

I don’t remember the last drama that made me laugh this much. There’s a fair amount of cuteness and kisses as well as some bickering which I enjoy. The story was strong enough that they didn’t need to waste a ton of time on the 2nd couple. I appreciated the amount of consistent affection between the the main couple. It’s something we don’t always get in these dramas. Honestly, the whole drama was enjoyable and held my interest all the way through.

Would Recommend.
Would Re-watch.

Smiling all day because of them <3

Firstly, this drama genre is cliché not something new but I really love itt! The scene is not too over (except that scene with goose) and the balance between his work and love life is perfect!

From the description you can already know the biggest conflict in this drama and nothing more to worry. Just bare it for a few mins every episode. Her cure is Shi Yi but she spent more time with Shi Meng, I really love that plot! All this thanks to clever Mrs. Ling and her helper Hao Ying Jun.

One of the things I LOVE is they didn't make Wei Lin to suddenly like the fl. I'm sick of that kind of plot already so I'm really happy when the writer make him as her love teacher and the biggest supporter of Shi meng and Fang yan ><

Fang yan bestfriend's Yao Yao is kinda annoying some times and make the fl confused but when I think back she is really realistic. Not overprotective just a concern friends. Her love life is kinda cute too ><

This drama have some flaws for example that incompetent Dr. Chui, that popular Shi yi who never get exposed/noticed outside by fans (this is weird for idol in cdrama) but everything else is bearable. The conflict solve quickly and 24 episode is perfect for this drama if not it will be draggy for sure.

The couple is the cutest, lot of kisses and it so natural. She is not that hard/annoying fl so it's really easy to like her. Although I think she is dumb sometimes but it's not too over. She is open towards him, no misunderstanding at all. Shi Meng is actually such a soft male lead. Like I love how he try to cook for her sometimes (yea ik he's bad at it) but we can see his improvement! That's why if you want a fluffy, light and funny drama this is for you!

Do you believe in destiny?

The drama explores the concept of how two people are destined to be together. Even as a misunderstanding seemingly pushes our leads apart, destiny pulls them back together. If you don't mind seeing some typical romcom tropes and a misunderstanding that lasts for more than half the drama, then this drama is a great light watch with a lot of chemistry between the leads and more than enough fluffy moments to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Story: The story deals primarily with the female lead's sleepwalking disorder and her attempt to cure her mysterious disease. This disease brings her closer to the male leads and then a love triangle is formed due to a misunderstanding. That's pretty much the main story, and its a happy ending. There's some pretty unrealistic moments but the story doesn't drag too much and there's always some sort of progress in each episode. I'd say the story is pretty shallow (I pretty much predicted the whole mystery half way through the show) and its purpose is the serve as a bridge between the main leads. The romantic development is pretty much the strongest development of the story.

Acting/Cast: The main couple has awesome chemistry and watching them go from a bad start to sweet romance is sure to make you smile. There is a side couple too and they also have good chemistry. The acting is not bad, considering I only knew some of the main actors as support roles in other dramas. Since it is a light romcom you can't really expect too many emotional moments or moments that really show an actor's competence.

Some of the drama's characters are pretty questionable though. There's the typical evil doers that attempt to screw over the female lead and the drama doesn't really explore them even though they repeatedly sabotage the female lead. Thus, they feel like shallow plot devices to cause chaos and problems and can be annoying to watch. Then, there's the second male lead with his selfishness that makes it hard for you to root for him. Though his selfish behavior is understandable, I found myself rooting for the main male lead way more.

Music: I enjoyed listening to the soundtrack as the tracks were pretty good and they fit their respective moments. Although the songs were used pretty repetitively and they didn't strike me enough for me to listen to them apart from the drama, they weren't half bad.

Rewatch Value: You'll probably go back and rewatch some of the funny and sweet moments but that's pretty much it. There's no point in rewatching this drama as its not groundbreaking or especially memorable. It's great as a one time watch though.

Nice romance. Bad writing.

WHAT I LIKED:
- The leads : good chemistry. The actors are cute and they were good at conveying emotions. The girl was overacting a little from time to time.
- The romance: many cute and romantic moments and kisses. They love each other with no real rivals and the schemes of the second lead are annoying but couldn't make them doubt their feelings.
- The secondary couple : Yao Yao and Hao Ying Jun. The man was clumsy but funny overall. The girl was a bit annoying but a beautiful MILF. Their love story was intriguing. Sometimes I liked them more than the lead couple. I just had it difficult to accept the origin of the boy which was not plausible for me but I guess it happens in chinese dramas.
- The SML : The actor did a good job as the character was a real hypocritical weasel.
- The plotline: It's a romance but it also has a darker story to tell. I appreciated that story.

WHAT I DID NOT LIKE:
- Although the dark backstory was interesting, I though it was messy and poorly executed towards the end. The part with the leads as children is well done but the way the mystery is solved was convoluted and had several plot holes and Deus ex machina elements. In eps 22/23/24 the writers were clearly and uselessly leading the audience and this was annoying to the point I fast forwarded a little bit.

OVERALL:
I was not always hooked and struggled to watch to the end but overall, it is a cute romance to watch with happy ending but spoiled by bad writing in the last part of the drama.

mushy love

Couple is so cute more roles with them together would be great. Maybe I watch to many dramas lol but I am certain that the little girl he was with when he was taken was her. Waiting to see if I am correct though.

Gotta say found one mistake or maybe winter solance is different in China and its actually Spring time here when they have theirs but I swear looks like Spring in the drama maybe I am crazy .

The music is just great it all sounds like it was made to relax you and make you fall more and more in love with this drama the crew that made this drama did a great job in picking the music for it.

Kinda hate her bestie girlfriend though saying she ain't got no right to fall in love everyone has the right to fall in love. True love is understanding and accepting each others weaknesses rather it be the need to have someone other than yourself give your lover comfort in times of need or whatever.

Good dose of Romance, Slight Mystery

Original chinese title is Fall In Love Shi Meng! reflects the drama better.. breakdown of the contents would be:
5% plot setup.
30% cohabitation hijinks.
20% developing affection & attachment.
20% sweet start of romance.
20% 2nd ML interactions with ML, FL
5% Mystery & wrap up

Fate or destiny is considered part of the theme but in the end is also dependent on the person's action. Shi Meng and Fang Yuan can be considered "Interested at First Sight" but truly "Develop Affection and Love" as they cohabitate as the idiom says "Familiarity Breeds Fondness".

Shi Meng only focuses on work, has a rift with his brother and generally has an unapproachable air and gets annoyed easily. Fang Yuan can be considered duped into staying with Shi Meng as a 'caretaker'. They stayed together with Shi Meng installing a set of rules but Fang Yuan hilariously pushes his limits in silly ways. Fang Yuan is quite a lovely character, not stupid, positive disposition although sometimes her illness dampens her mood.

Theres some role reversal where FL takes the initiative and so things, small action to grand gesture to make the ML happy. Then theres the ML thats seemingly cool and reluctant would end up doing gentle things for FL like teaching her to skate or helping her wash her hair. So trust me, theres quite alot of lovely moments.

Ep 1 was not really interesting until the last 3mins. Ep2 to 4 I was distracted and turned to other dramas. Ep 5 onwards finally hooked me. Ep 6 onwards was binge worthy.

The plot isnt super original and the start wasnt without issues. But overall its a very good watch. The ML and FL makes a beautiful couple and their acting is quite natural.

Ps Theres really alot of tall goodlooking actors popping out in C dramaland everywhere. This year alone have com across quite a number of average to good dramas starring new actors. Truly spoilt with choice. You may have overlooked this drama due to lesser known actors and little promotion but its a show thats mostly light and sweet with a touch of mystery and good dose of romantic moments between leads

Witty funny modern romantic comedy!

Great dialogue and scenes, terrific chemistry between the leads, and excellent rapport among the actors overall. I love that it is not only the male lead that can execute the grand romantic gestures! What Fang Yan did for Shi Meng totally stole my heart! If a girl does that in real life, lucky is the man who loves her! The romance between the OTP is so endearing and enjoyable to watch, and the kissing is very nicely done. I watched some BTS clips, and Ma Meng Wei and Ao Rui Peng are so naturally cute together.

It's a light rom-com, but it does have a dark back story. Still, not too dark that it takes away from the romance and fun. Objectively, I know this is not the best-written show and is predictable at times, but the pacing is consistent and not draggy, and the story makes sense with no overly complicated plot-lines. There are certainly loopholes but nothing glaringly big that it dims my desire to binge-watch this show. Like most dramas, there are definitely tropes, but somehow they fit in this show.

As the ML and SML respectively, Ao Rui Peng and Luo Zheng acted well, but I think they could have done better with their micro-expressions. Still, they are both so effortlessly cool and good-looking. I like Ma Meng Wei's acting better than in "Love The Way You Are" but she is not styled as nicely in this show. Her hairstyle and outfits do not do her any justice. One can tell that she is much prettier than how she is presented. I just don't get the over-sized and old-fashioned outfits, with a combination of bangs and high ponytails (or shoulder-length hair) that are the signature style of many female leads.

The supporting characters are awesome, especially Osborn Chen, who is hilarious with his expressions and dialogue! I loved their antics, their unique personalities, and their roles in helping to progress the OTP's relationship. The Goose - LOL!

The OST is also nicely compiled and very fitting for the different scenes and moods.

Overall, I would rewatch this show since it is a simple story that is well written and executed.

Interesting plot but has some flaws

Literally finished this drama in 3 days LOL. I actually liked this drama. The plot was interesting as it dealt with a girl, Fang Yan, who has a sleepwalking disorder due to a traumatic event. And there's this cold guy, Shi Meng, who basically just works and doesn't really care about anything else. Of course, the typical starting off as enemies first and turns into love shortly after. I actually liked the built-up of their relationship. I found it more interesting and less cringey compared to when they officially got together in which they were VERY cringey LOL.Fortunately, this drama did not only revolve around the couple falling in love. It had interesting subplots to it in which connects to why they are really meant to be. Probably if it weren't for those other subplots, I would've dropped this drama cause it would've full of cringey moments. But this story actually went somewhere and connected the pieces together.

However, there were some flaws. I felt like there were still unsolved issues. Like, it was never really specified in the end if she had completely cured her illness (sleepwalking disorder). Like yeah, the psychiatrist said that Shi Meng being by her side and regaining her memories would most likely heal her. But they never really showed in the end if it really did. So I can't really see/say for sure that her illness was entirely cured.

Also, her illness was described that she would sleepwalk whenever she gets shocked/scared of something that pops up in front of her (example a scary doll). However, there were times in the drama where she encountered scared/shocked moments but never had a sleepwalking spell.. And that kinda threw me off and disappointed me since they did not really portray the psychological condition well enough.

Despite all this, I still enjoyed the drama!

A sweet bunch of cliches

Those who know me know that I am team cliche, so this drama was right up my ally with allot of wonderful recognisable cliches. No annoying characters and as far as I can see no one actually forcing themselves on the other, if it weren't for the co-habitation and cliches I would seriously have questioned if this was a c-drama or something else, but yes it was most sertainy a c-drama.

Most of the twist where predictable but they did have their own touch to many common beloved characters and twists so a plus on that. The goose in this drama is very charming and has won my heart as well as did make for quite some humor in to the romance making way for the following line: "I want to watch the snow and walk the goose with you"

The female lead is a bit too naive for me to give this drama more stars but is at least not stupid enough to make me wonder how on earth she survived so far... The male lead is the common lovable melting Icicle and all the friendships in the drama are lovely. The dubbing is however pretty bad, which is kind of funny since the female lead is a voice actress...

All in all a decent watch but not much more.

Likes:
- Au Rui Peng as in the actor (not his character in this drama), I just find him cute with his facial expressions and gestures. To be honest, watching him was what made me finish the drama. Will watch out upcoming dramas from him.

Dislikes:
- Break up with you for your own good plot - uuuurgh this frustrates me in every drama - skipped the episodes for this part
- Why? really why? is it always a common scene - touching stuff that you obviously are not supposed to touch and then make trouble cause you break something

Take away the dislikes, this was a decent watch. There were cute interactions between Shi Meng and Fang Yan, much better in the latter parts of the show. I'm so glad that Shi Yi wasn't a super villain. Not much to say about the rest of the story really.....
