It is what it is....
I highly recommend you to go and rewatch TharnType s1, after watching this season. Because apparantly s1 will help you remember back again why 'TharnType the series' WAS so special, and what magic it truly holds that captured so many hearts. With this being said, I will explain why.
I every series, as the seasons progress, we expect more catchy plots. In this case, the Season1, despite a few problematic subplots (like consent issues, etc.), we got a chemistry-acting-drama-fun packed series. In compare to that, S2, with a more mature, a 7 years old couple, the plot was completely boring.
The greatest hole in the season is the plot, or to some degree, the screenwriting. There are literally times, where you want to skip through the scenes for absolute cringe or overacting or too much fanservice. Introduction of Fiat in between TharnType, and the resulted tiff was far too stretched.
For a relationship which is into 7 years, Tharn and Type can be too much immature and whinning. Type's constant anger issues, or Tharn's whiny 'Tyyyype' to cool down his lover! But this is no big problem.
To make a good hero, you need a good villain. I had Lhong in s1. I hated him from within my guts. maybe that's why I loved that character so much. You get it? But here, Fiat? Yes, I hate him. But the character himself? Oh such a baby! I infact never even felt pity for him. And Leo was nothing but a side piece to Fiat, with just over protective tendencies and no other contribution to the story.
LeoFiat is a couple with so much potential. Their story could have been developed- from mutual pining to feeling discovery- the potential was utterly wasted, even as a side couple.
But what I liked, is that they at least gave enough screen time to establish other side couples as well.umm well Maybe that could also be the reason why you would want to skip many parts as well. Let's be honest, that many couple was crowding. Tell me what was the importance of Tharn's cousin brother's relationship with his boyfriend? How much has it impacted the plot?
See.. Mew, Gulf, Mild, Tong, the parents (some who are the old casts) are real amazing actors. But to make the acting department work, everyone needs good acting. I never liked some actors' work, like that of Dr. Khunpol- too mechanical and forced, Thanya as well. Something was absolutely off about her.
The BGM was also very repeatative, but I can't really point that out, Cause in series/lakorns not much focus is unfortunately given to BGMs, in every scene.
I loved the ordination part- I got to know about a new culture of a new land, the rituals was amazingly shown. and also the part how Tharn's dress changes everyday as he bows down for greetings. There was a change in Type's character after the ordination, he became more pliant. I wish there was more time for this, to actually show Type's develpment!
TT s2 was generally running on a plain line graph, with a predictable story line. We saw it episode by episode, if you binge watch it, you will perhaps understand. Yes, there are genuine moments of love and acting. But the bar in BLs has risen.
TT2 has shown me, not every hyped up series is/will be good. I just wish MewGulf and the other new actors get a better chance next time.

INSERT CRICKETS !!!
From so much promises that were made by the team we got .... crickets that's what we got. This was literally something unexpected. Like WHY????? I think that WE as FANS deserved better season, with better writing and WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY better story. It was hard to watch from time to time. The chemistry between the actors was there but I don't think that they need to rely on them to sell this. Yes the cast is important but the story needs to be included too. NO WORDS about the writing. It was bad, point blank period.
They could've easily make 6-8 episodes with better writing, better screen play and development. Why bother to make 12 episodes when most of them felt like filler episodes? CASH GRAB,that's what this is.
So disappointing.

A boring and disappointing sequel with no real story being told
NO-SPOILER REVIEWTharnType was such a unique and intense series with great characters, but unfortunately, the sequel is a complete letdown. The high variation in review scores is probably between those who are just happy to see these beloved characters on screen again and those who expected some actual plot from a sequel.
Pros
- It's nice to see Tharn and Type together again, with plenty of couple moments together.
- It was interesting to see both the old supporting cast and some new cast members come together.
Cons
- Little to no real plot. The few moments of potential plot developments felt forced and weren't believable.
- So much wasted potential in terms of overall storytelling as well as the potential to develop side couples.
- The pacing was entirely too slow with nothing happening for large amounts of time. It was legitimately boring at many parts. The entire sequel series could have been a standalone movie.
Overall
- Probably only worth watching if you're a hardcore TharnType fan and just want any excuse to see more of these characters on screen regardless of the plot.

Intense with emotional ups and downs
It doesn't fulfill what I expected, but it also didn't disappoint. If you want to experience a load of emotions, and also want to feel happy(and a little sad) then yes you should watch this!
It showed the hardship you have to go through to make a relationship work. It really doesn't matter how many years you've been in the relationship. What matters is the understanding and love between the two persons, and this series portrays this better than any other series I've seen(till now).
I felt that the storylines had some loopholes at some points, and could have showed the struggles of gay couples more strongly, but otherwise it's seemed very fine.
The acting of both mew and gulf is awesome(as all of you already know), and also supporting cast is too good. The whole team is so fantastic.
Music is cool too, can make you both smile and cry depending on the mood and the scenes. And yes I'm ready to rewatch it but after some months ig hehe.
Watch it. I promise you won't regret. <3

disappointed
Tharn and Type has been together for 7 years and still failed to communicate and trust each other. The one kiss that Fiat and Type had, Tharn could have asked him or even believed Type when Type explained what happened. They could have sit down together and use proper communication.
The part I disliked was Type’s workplace was stressful for him because of his boss and the way he uses his anger at Tharn like do not use your anger towards someone who had nothing with your work. Type could have vented out his issues to Tharn rather than getting pissed off at Tharn.
Fiat’s character was really annoying, like his dad and the trauma does not really explain his actions and behaviour towards Type and saying “he has no one by his side” when Leo has always been there for him.
Tharn kept pressuring Type to marry him was a huge big red flag, Type was not ready during this time which was a big miss.
When they reunited after the huge fight, they obviously made up with sex rather than apologising. And Type’s father was really rude too, he kept insulting Tharn for seven years and still asking Type to get a girlfriend instead.
Overall, I love the acting but the story was a big miss. The OSTs were good too.

Absolutely Perfect
I loved the second season. Tharntype is my favorite BL, and the second season finished the series perfectly. I’m looking forward to the special! I can’t wait to see Tharn and Type married. Mew and Gulf’s performance was superb playing their characters, and every episode was beautiful. That Fiat.... I loved to hate him. I’m glad he pulled his head out of his ass (or Type’s ass..) and now I’m rooting for him and Léo. I’ve been shipping them since the beginning. And Champ and Dr Khunpol.... So cute! I’d love to see where their relationship goes! And Techno!!! I want to see him and his boyfriend’s story, too! I hope there’s a lot of spin-offs! I’m not ready to let Tharntype go! I loved the entire series. It’s a beautiful, complicated, sometimes problematic, complex love story, and I loved to watch it all play out. And special mention to Type finally “dealing” with his boss! Epic! I absolutely loved it. The sensual scenes were epic in the second season, like in the first. No shame, I loved the sexual chemistry between Type and Tharn. The storyline was superb, and the actors did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend this series in its entirety. Was this review helpful to you?
One of the best thai bl!
I just love this second season. The chemistry between the main actors (mew and gulf) is so strong and the hot scenes are one of the best. Not many thai bl has good sexy scenes without them lacking something, either the kiss is too weird or the actors dont seem comfortable around each other but this doesnt happen here. The kiss scenes are one of the best i've seen! The acting of mew and gulf is really good and i like how we can see in this season type's growth. I have watched many bl and i can tell you tharntype is one of the best bl thai series! I really cant understand the low rating that im seeing here. I'm not a big fan of the supporting characters so I skip most of their scenes but besides that this series doesn't lack anything. Watch it!Was this review helpful to you?
It is NOT boring.
Y'all really liked all the toxic drama and fights but this season is giving us something totally different. Here we have a long term and healthy couple who talk things out. Yeah, maybe their problems are not like the ones they had on s1, they're more about the problems normal people have. You don't get a crazy best friend who makes your exbf get raped, you get problems at work and problems about the way society sees LGBT+ people.
You get a supportive partner who loves his bf and is there for him.
You get a man dealing with so much stress he ends up breaking down in his man's arms because the world's too much.
You get love.
You get a couple that, even after 7 years, still love each other so much it warms your heart.
You get a couple that is still romantic after all this time.
I know from next week we're gonna step into the Drama (tm) and all that but so far so good. Also, people getting mad because we didn't get that many kisses or love scenes? Are you here for the plot or to see 2 men kissing?

Sooooo badddd!
What happened? The acting, plot, character development, script -everything was just so poorly done. Perhaps the acting was the worst. I suppose its an industry of Thai BL dramas where they have a captive audience. But times are a changing. There are better quality BL dramas being produced in Japan, S Korea and Taiwan which will soon surpass the dross coming out if Thailand. Also did the censors put the scissors through this? There was none of the passion of the first series, kissing scenes being replaced by hugs and back pats.
This will be my last episode of this drama., despite liking the two leads.

The Exact Opposite Of Season One. Uninteresting and Slow
So I noticed that by the time we were halfway through this sequel show nothing had happened yet. Just domestic stuff, work issues and Tharn wanting to get married. This is okay if the stuff they were showing was interesting but it really wasn't. I found myself hoping that more would happen in this series, but once they changed the director I had a feeling it wouldn't have the same storytelling element that the first season had. Which worked so well. Even the pacing in this was so trash. Some scenes were so long and it was really weird. The first season was fast and it worked! There was no gap space where with this it was literally an entire show of gap space. There were a new set of characters introduced. We had Fiat who is such a shitty character. Lhong was more interesting as a antagonist, where Fiat just gets on your damn nerves (Update: He's much better in the companion series!) . Leo was confusing. I didn't really care much for him and his pushy domineering attitude (Update: Again much better in the companion series!!) . Cir and Phu are mad cute, though I question how that even happened lol they are so different. Then the doc (whose actual name I totally forget) was kind of forgettable. Was he sweet? Sure, but that's not enough to make a character interesting. Discussing the recurring characters quickly, Techno comes back with his crackhead energy. Which has been cranked up to 11 this season around. He was better presented in the first season, but he got a laugh out of me a few times in this at least. Tharn and Type are the same characters for the most part. Maybe slight changes? But nothing too distinguishable. The only thing I can say are heightened are the love scenes, go figure lol. Do I think the love scenes in this were better than the first season? Yes, yes I do. Mew and Gulf continue to be some of the best chemistry BL actors I've seen and they upped the stakes in this. Like my lord. Also Gulf needs to chill tf out with his facial expressions. He giving the camera the eyes every 5 minutes whenever Mew is in the scene with him I swear!
So...onto some plot holes. Literally we had to deal with Fiat's bs for a huge majority of this show. It was obnoxious and then we finally get to the supposed "cheating" scene. This is what was going through my mind during that episode. "But how is everyone on the roof all of a sudden at the same time!? What the actual - it doesn't make sense lmao. Is Leo just dust btw? Why is Fiat so stupid and blind. But also Leo being like "I can't lose him!" while subsequently ignoring him tf. They kidnapped HIM WHAT!?!? And Type threatening to basically bust in his kneecap. Okay this is extreme and traumatizing. Listen I know they need to get them together but seriously. " This was all an accurate depiction of my feelings during all the insanity. It was poorly done and made me almost bust a lung at how ridiculous it was when we were meant to take it seriously. At least I wasn't bored during it though. Then moving onto the ending. Type becomes a monk....what? Okay I guess he just gave up his medical profession? I enjoyed seeing the culture of Thailand's process with becoming a monk but from a storytelling standpoint it didn't really make sense. They (Tharn & Type) don't get married, you have to wait for a special episode for that and nobody really gets any consequences. The end.
I loved seeing the actors again but come on. This could've been something of worth to watch if they didn't half ass it the entire time. It really felt like that and it was so frustrating! You had a perfect set up and ruined it. Should've gotten the same director if you could. Also fix your fuc**** subtitles Line TV don't subtitle the lyrics of songs over the dialogue!!! Sorry ya'll Imma stick to the first season. Hope all the best for Mew and Gulf after this ending!

Disappointed
I’ve always been one of those people that think, if the first season was good/ok don’t ruin it by doing a second season... if there’s going to be s2 give it justice....This season was a flop and to think I was excited
when it was announced. Too many side characters, some unnecessary scenes and what was the point of that cute couple (whose name I cba to remember- but one was dr) when they could have added more of those scenes, and less of Fiat/Leo
I got bored, can’t even bring myself to watch the last ep and meh to the special episode *roll eyes*

To anyone who wants to watch this series, I advise you NOT TO and that's coming from someone who really loved mewgulf and season 1 of tharntype. At first when I heard there was going to be a season 2 I wasn't really excited about it because I know thai bl series in general don't really have good second seasons but when I saw the excitement of the fans I began to feel excited too.
I wasn't looking for a masterpiece but TTTS2 doesn't even have a plot that make sence, it had so many plotholes and was so boring, tharn and type were supposed to have been together for 7 years but they can't even comunicate properly , most of the time they are shown on screen they are either fighting for stupid reasons or kissing to porn music and don't even get me started on the other couples ,Leo and Fiat are toxic for each other, to me Fiat is still a spoiled brat who doesn't know boundaries and he was forgiven too easily and Leo was a character that I liked at first but the moment he was okey with type kidnaping he's long time crush(Fiat ) I started hating him, that's not love 😑😑
The 2 other couples that remain I can't say anything about them ,in my opinion they didn't have enough screentime for me to get attached to them so they are just to there.
TTTS2 could have been so much better if mame had took the time to seriously think about a good plot and not use mewgulf just for money.
I would have liked to see an in depth reasoning as to why type didn't want to get married and little by little tharn would have convinced him,or the two of them having more serious discussions then i love you and I love you too also a look to their insecurities as a couple who had been together as a long time.
When I pictured TTTS2 I always imagined the series to be more serious then the first with funny moments here and there.
In the end mewgulf have a special place in my heart and I will always love them and I hope they have a succefull career but I can't say the same about mame.
