Shorts are too short...
Shorts are too short...When i like them!To me the story was top notch. I should also say that I have issues with giving shorts a 10 even if I think it is all round top notch. It is a conundrum, that I punish a short for being short because I wanted more time with the story, and the characters. However, with this series I believe the delivery was inconsistent. Both in story and character delivery. (Ok say something nice)
I really liked the secondary characters. Especially the CEO.
With the leads I feel that Shin KT actually felt more for Wan, even though the story line tries to tell the story to the contrary.
Again, I loved the story. A long and maybe a better fit, but I always say that about shorts I like.

Is it too short or just enough?
*happy ending*Just like other reviews, I might say that this is one of the best BLs out there. I really love the focus on just one couple. And the angst of unrequited love felt like I was watching Sekaiichi Hatsukoi but with a more proactive protagonist. Ki Tae really went all out for Wan and I'm loving it so much.
The drama at ep 7 was chef's kiss. Though I wanted this to be longer, I also felt that the pacing and the length was just enough to keep my toes curled for excitement and not get bored of the series.
Is it just me, but game program k-bls really hit hard for me. Just like with Semantic error.
This series is just so nostalgic, feel-good, sweet and heartwarming without the excessive nc scenes. Definitely a must watch!

One of the best BL series I watched.
This series has no unnecessary scenes. For me this is one of the best series that I'd watched especially since I have a short-term focus, the time for every episode is just exact. No fillers, no unnecessary things, no add ons, just focusing on the story line itself.Every episode has an own agenda. The title for every episode has a big relevant to what this series going to show per episode. The story line is good.
Though it is just a short series, the movie itself solved every questions that the characters and watcher has.

This IS the best Korean BL!
...here I am crying after episode 8, because this series is over. Easy, natural and purely romantic - probably describes this story best. The chemistry between the main leads alone deserves a 10/10 and is the reason why this for me is the best Korean BL I have ever seen. The acting of Lee Seung Gyu in the last two episodes gave me chills. But the whole cast is just so wholesome. Also, can we acknowledge the storytelling? Finally, a BL without any toxic, unnecessary sidekicks. Finally, we have a couple who talks about their fears and shows vulnerabilty! Finally, a story about two people who needed to find their own truth, what works for them...and then found and supported each other.
And THANK YOU for giving us realistic, soft and heartwarming kisses in a Korean BL. Nothing compares to the emotions that these two main leads portray through their touches.
So please PLEASE bless us with a season 2 to enjoy their relationship journey! Also I'd love to get to know the supporting cast better. The work colleagues were all so lovable - and we need to know what their high school friends are thinking, right? They all seem so nice. I am in love ?

Putting this on my S-tier kdrama BL
March 30, 2023U heard it folks, this drama just boosted its way into my higher level of Kdrama BLs.
Our Dating Sim, ate, devoured, served, and slayed for 2023.
I love the cast and our two lovely leads, Mr. Ed and Mr. Ian
I will be going by their English name for the purpose of this review.
Ed ate, he is the standard. I want him, I need him. He needs to be in life.
Ian, he slayed, I love their communication with each other. NO STUPIDS MISCOMMUNICATION in the present moment. I will be excusing what happened 7 years ago...ahahahha
This is such an informal review but I am so sad this show ended. I am still not ready to let this one go.
See yalls back when I rewatch!
PLEASE WATCH IT, gives so much dopamine and serotonin.

Predictable storyline
Our Dating Sim starts off with an interesting first episode but turns out to be terribly predictable in how it unfolds. The leads have some chemistry but the tension didn’t feel as tense as it should have most of the time.Perhaps many people will find this thrilling because it’s about the one who got away and returned, making the reunion even sweeter and more satisfying.
But was it just the way I liked? Hmm, not quite. The relationship wasn’t particularly memorable and the story got way too predictable and stale after a while.
There could have been more depth to their characters instead of taking a shortcut with the cliche (and also unrealistic??) “I have always liked you” / "I have been waiting for you to return" narrative.

Sooo cute!!
I wish it was longer. it was the cutest. There was minor plot hole that didn't make sense but it was still cute. 10/10 will watch again. The actors' chemistry was amazing. I need them in more series. I liked that they did things a little differently than other BLs with the same premise. Definitely a comfort BL.
Pros: >Great actors
>Great couple chemistry
>Fast Pace
Cons: >not long enough
>A little confusing in the very
beginning

Simple, cute and great acting
i just love a Korean bl drama where both actors feel comfortable and chill with each other, especially during kiss scenes etc.. This sadly happens to rarely but Our Dating Sim did everything right with choosing these actors. I loved their chemistry in the drama, the simple but cute storyline and especially the little scenes at every end of each episode that made me smile everything. This is a great quickwatch I can recommend to everyone here. But I also loved the side characters and the portraying of how difficult love sometimes can be. It wasn't too much sugar-coated but it had both things - the realistic side and the beautiful side of love. Was this review helpful to you?

7 years of longing
I cannot deny it...one of the best Korean BL dramas.I love how the 2 MLs are so natural in their interaction between them. The portrayal of the characters was also top notch. It was so enjoyable to watch the 2 of them being playful, emotional and lovey dovey.
The acting was amazing especially in Episode 7 where Shin Ki-Tae cried his heart out thinking that Lee Wan had disappeared again. It was so emotional that it makes you want to reach out and hug him tight.
As the story slowly unfold, we realized that Ki-Tae's feeling for Lee Wan was mutual and Lee Wan mistook his reaction as being negative. Throughout the seven years, Ki-Tae was desperately looking for Lee Wan. What a waste of seven years.
It was also interesting to note that the role changes after seven years whereby Shin Ki-Tae became the one who was deeply in love with Lee Wan. He was so adorable and it was fun watching him going after Lee Wan.
My only complaint is...it is too short! It would have been great if the series had at least 20 episodes of 30 minutes each. Sigh...wishful thinking!
So people...watch the drama and fall in love with Shin Ki-Tae and Lee Wan! And after that...wished for more...wink.

OUR DATING SIM ??
YALL THIS KBL IS ACTUALLY SO GOOD IM HOOKED,HONESTLY DROPPED IT AFTER 3 EPS DUE TO EXAMS BUT I WATCHED AFTERWARDS, AND I DO NOT REGRET A SINGLE THING!! The story was written so well and i loved the characters, this was super cute and also fun, i loved the litlle game thingy in the end of each episode, portrayed all the feelings properly and finally some consent, which some bl writers dont know what is it, also the camerawork is so satisfying like fr, dont watch those shitty ass bls you find on “korean bl dramas list” if you didnt watch our dating sim yet, i will never let yall forget this masterpiece, i so recommend this kblWas this review helpful to you?
A nice, short, no heavy drama, fluffy story.
It was enjoyable and well done. It defiantly needed more time for the story to flow naturally rather than randomly speed up to fit the time limit. Also, I'm unsure if it's just the copy I watched but there were random small scene cuts, maybe 10 seconds here and there that were missing. If you have about an 1.5hrs to watch something light-hearted that also provides an easy on the eyes experience than I suggest you go for it :)
I'm gonna have to try the movie version next time, though I'm pretty sure it's not different and everything is just edited together. Great rewatch value anyways so it works out none-the-less haha

CUTE BUT I NEED MORE
This drama is too endearing to take in. in particular shin ki tae. His facial expressions are all very cute. The narrative is quite nice. The acting is outstanding. But each episode has such a short amount of screen time. Because of this, I believe that the storyline component was very lacking. This drama made no lasting impression on me when I finished the series. I have no idea why viewing this series has left me feeling so depleted. Why is there not a single image of a bed throughout the entire series? Lan sleeps alone on the sofa even in the final episode when they are together. How is that even conceivable? Additionally, I didn't like Lan's attempts to conceal the Australian camp. He revealed the camp in Australia to the other three members in front of Ki Tae in the most recent episode. Ki Tae appears to have previously heard from Lan about that, based on his demeanor. However, the drama lacked a scene like that. However, I really liked Lan's character when he rejected Producer Ahn. He was sincere when he said that he might come to regret it. However, he is content with his choice as of right now. He rejects the idea of enduring love. He and Ki Tae might eventually part ways. But just now, he wants to take full advantage of the present.
