It's really sad that they're shutting down. They've been a great site and my source of english subbed dramas for years now. I can't believe they're shutting down. I'll miss SpeedyJoe alot T__T

yes... darksmurfsub is indeed a good place... more people should register there ^_^
Hi everyone :) I'm completely new to these forums, but I posted something on DC's Facebook page and I decided to copy it over to here as well. I'm not sure if anybody else has noticed this, but I have finally found concrete evidence of the reason DC was shut down. Here goes:

wrote: If you search for 'DramaCrazy' on Google, you'll notice this warning if you scroll right to the bottom. It says:

"In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at ChillingEffects.org."

So, we now know the reason DC & AC were closed down was for copyright issues. We also know that the site was probably given a strict time limit to get their things together before Google simply removed/terminated their site from the database. The owner of the Cease and Desist notice chose to withhold their name, but it was probably the maker of a show or one of the paid drama sites like DramaFever.

And there you have it.
That is not the reason. At least not by itself. Those are common and found for a lot of sites. Google cannot remove or terminate any site. They can only hide results that lead to those sites or the page with the content that got the notice. These notices are a routine thing by now. They're not the ones that get a site closed. Considering it closed down so fast, with little warning time, this was something much more serious and perhaps unplanned. Either that or then they were simply not nice enough to let people know beforehand. Still, such a big community would have. All the admins and mods on the forums were rushing to get people out and find new places for them. So I somehow don't think they just decided to close it one day and never bothered to give a heads up earlier on.
I love AC/DC mostly for the forums, discussions and friends there. To be honest, I have not been watching dramas and movies that much from AC/DC; having been a long-time user and contributor in viki. I am also fluent in many languages, so I always ended up watching raw HD vids without having to rely on subs (hence I do not require AC/DC as my source for dramas). I go to AC/DC for the chats and I am mourning the lost of friends and the ongoing threads. To me, those are the most precious. RIP, AC/DC. p.s: if you know me from DC, do add me here!
in worse case scenario the last resort is... 1. buy original dvd that are worth over 20,000 yen each 2. learn korean and japanese that takes about several years to be fluent since those dvd has no subtitle (maybe some have) 3. wait for a time machine so we can time travel back for the dramas we have missed 4. sleep till this dooms day era is over

1 sounds awesome. Now where did I put my spare 200 dollars? Oh, wait... Nope, don't have it. XD

PS: Your avatar is spot on.
will its seem we need to say goodbye DramaCrazy, it was nice 4 years watching drama with you, wish to see you soooooooon, can any one help me with another site to watch drama, i dont know what to do HELP!!!!!
I only wish that this is either a joke or simply a nightmare and that when I wakr up everything will be fine! I can't believe that both my Drama and Anime providing sites are no longer operating! Those two sites other than giving us the latest episodes really fast had an amazing chathegory system and their homepages where filles with the latest releazes! I was able to be organized thanks to those two sites! What am I going to do now????
I was in such a shock yesterday :(((

But now that I think about it - what about that fb fan page that's in the bottom of the page now on dramacrazy.net, under the short message...

It was created yesterday and somehow I think they will use it to let us know what to do next...
i felt sad while i read their message in the fb page this morning, i was hoping it's not real. i sort of panicked because i had a lot of catching up on my dramas. i've been watching dramas in dc for almost 2 years now, and it is the best site for me. i'll terribly miss dc! =(
Damn :( for me DramaCrazy.net is the fastest streaming site for me :( its so sad to see them go.
