I started to watch Dramas with Goong. When I fist saw it on Tv, I could not stop myself to watch dramas. And still Goong is one of my favs. ;)
I was reading the Absolute Boyfriend on mangafox and saw a forum post about a live action drama. I looked up the Zettai Kareshi drama and never looked back!
I was searching Youtube, when I saw, by chance, Playful kiss. That's how I started.
Cancelling our cable and getting NetFlix introduced me to dramas. Boys Over Flowers kept popping up in the recommend watch list. I started it and turned it off after 10 mins thinking it was totally ridiculous. A few months pass and I keep seeing it as I'm browsing through NetFlix so I give it another shot. Honestly, I thought the first couple episodes were really over-the-top and funny but before I knew what happened I was hooked!! Lol Then I found out there were 2 other versions and watched those as well. I actually didn't become completely addicted until watching Meteor Garden. That led to a bunch of Taiwanese dramas and eventually back to kdramas. NetFlix and Hulu have a TON for instant streaming so I'm never in short supply :-)
I was introduced to it by my friend who just made me sit and watch "Full house" with her. I hooked to it right away as it was so different from what I used to see in my language.
I already looked all of this damas too cool !!!
my sister started me off with "Listen to my heart/Can you hear my heart" now that was a long and confusing drama. i cant stand the business genre anymore...
I was first introduced to Kdramas through Netflix and I started watching them because I had already been watching Korean movies for many years so I wanted to see how the dramas compare and what all the fuss was about. I started off with dramas that consist of top movie star actors whom I was already familiar with - Jung Woo-Sung, Jin Mo Joo, Lee Byung Hun, Seung Heon Song, Jang Hyuk to name a few. I did this to avoid the disappointment of watching complete garbage that constantly makes it into the top 10 - I'm talking about all those stupid childish fantasy ones (with lousy actors where the male looks like an absolute faggot with all that make up on) that get popularized because of so many kids out there who rate them 10/10 simply due to eye candy lol. This does no justice at all to the really great Kdramas with a good mature plot (which have REAL actors) out there that go unnoticed or get bad ratings because the first episode was too confusing/mature or there was no eye candy. My other method of beginning a drama is to try and avoid anything to do with Lee Min Ho or No Min Woo.
T'm really impressive because here wé can see many kind of person and many kind of beginning
Oh i don't know this drama maybe i have ton watch it
It's my best friend who tool me in Dramaland, she basically told me the whole story of you're beautiful, and then she started speaking about Hana Yori Dango, which I was reading at that moment, so I decided to watch it, and it was my first drama :D
I got to dramas through Kpop and Omona@LJ - my first drama was Iris, it was great drama, but what really trapped me in dramaland was You Are Beautiful.
There is already an existing thread for this topic. You can check it out here.
