Well it started with a suggestion from my friend to watch this K-Drama called "Heartstrings" last summer i put it off for a while then finally i watched it and it had Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa in it *last summer was also when i got into K-pop with the song Fantastic Baby by Big Bang* Any way i fell in love with that drama ^.^ and then when i finally finished it i was lost on what to watch next >.< i finally ventured into looking for a new drama and i found the actor that i really like till this day :3 Jang Geun Suk in the drama "You're Beautiful" x3 Yong Hwa was also in it soo yeah <3 since then i've been watching K-dramas whenever I can :) the more the merrier x) i guess it all started with a friend for K-Dramas for me :3
Um my Tv? Since I was able to speak and understand things properly so I guess when I was 5 :p
There was really no special actor or actress that got me into dramas. I had watched the Hana Yori Dango anime, so when I heard about the live action version I got curious, and decided to check it out. And whaddya know; turns out I liked live action way better than anime! It took all of five minutes for me to get completely hooked. Then I just started reading drama synopsises online, and chose to watch the ones that sounded interesting.
Jerry Yan. Meteor Garden actually got me into Dramas. But that and Down With Love are the only 2 Taiwanese dramas I've seen. After that PersonalTaste and Lee Min Ho just got me so hooked to Korean Dramas now I don't watch anything else.
It was me!

2003~ Me and my friend rented the chinese movie New Police Story with Jackie Chan and Nicholas Tse. It was my first asian movie ever and I loved it. My friend and I immediately fell for Nicholas Tse and soon I started listening to cantonese music. I had all his albums and listened to them for years. (I also watched almost every movie with Nicholas Tse).

2005~ I stumbled across this website where you could learn the basics in japanese. At the time I had no idea how japanese sounded or anything, so I found it really fascinating and fun to read. Soon I started to learn japanese on my own and decided to find a japanese movie to watch. If my memory is right my first drama was Hana Yori Dango and I watched it on youtube. I remember that it felt so unreal that you could watch japanese TV with english subtitles online.

I watched every japanese drama I could find on youtube and it didn't take long before I found korean dramas too. Later I found mysoju and I started watching even more dramas and movies. Taiwanese, chinese and thai too.
I was a massive fan of manga and anime, and I read the occasional manhwa, like "Goong" (you can imagine my reaction when I discovered the drama) and "He was Cool"; "Mary stayed out All Night" had been translated - well, a few chapters, and I really, really liked it. There really weren't a lot of chapters released, though, so I was hoping to find some online spoilers with a bit of research ... and then I discovered that it had been turned into a drama. I had never heard of dramas ... (those were dark days) and I was curious, so I watched it. I then watched every single one of Jang Geun Suk's dramas, haha. So I guess it was JGS for me!
Me. I was searching for something to watch in my local tv, and I stumble upon Stairway to Heaven...It was too much for me, never watch it entirely. But after that ended, the local tv channel were airing My Lovely Sam Soon and I watch it, over and over again, I have watched that one like 12 times already. I search it online, and found a few sites of pure drama. That was in 2009 the rest is history!
Myself lol I was bored one day watched one then another and another~ I don't really remember my first drama either D:
myself and Hulu...I don't mind subtitles so when Hulu had a big promotion for Bad Guy, I watched it. The rest is history.
my friend watched Playful Kiss accidently on youtube and got addicted after watching several dramas, she needed someone with her, so she gave me a list to watch and websites Lie To Me was my real first drama actually ive seen Full House on TV before and liked it, but it was dubbed and i never really considered watching asian stuff in general so i guess it doesnt count lol :P
I was reading the Absolute Boyfriend manga on mangafox and saw a forum talking about the drama. I didn't even know they made live action dramas of mangas at the time. I googled the drama, fell in love, and the rest was history.
I watched a drama on Hulu, with Rain, and that got me interested. Then I watched Faith and Lee Min Ho got me sucked into dramaland hard and fast LOL. Since then, there are about 10 actors/actresses that I dig and search to find anything they do, but LMH is, well... he just is :)
I was introduced to dramas from Japanese language learning blogs. I believe it was Tofugu that finally gave me the push to actually start watching them. But basically I sought them out on my own. I branched out slightly into K-dramas thanks to Kpop. And this is really random, but years ago I used to watched a local Korean channel. This was before my family had cable and we only had broadcast tv. There was this Korean channel that showed dramas at late night with English subtitles sometimes. So I would watch them even though I didn't really follow the story and the picture was fuzzy lol. So I guess that technically was my first introduction to dramas. Anybody from New York remember that channel? I hope I'm not the only one. If I remember specifically it was channel 18 on broadcast tv.
