The manga adaptation features a Doogie-esque hero who travels back in time 150 years, where he learns that maybe there’s more to being a doctor than a massive IQ. Because apparently that’s not something you can learn after 1860. (Dramabeans)

This drama is the Korean remake of JIN, which someone has told me to watch a few times and I've put off after watching the first 10 minutes of it because there's no eyecandy. (I like my eyecandy, can you blame me?) But it seems the drama Gods have listened to me and have not only given me a remake with eyecandy, it's also a Korean one. (Now I only hope they don't take the eye candy away, since I actually want to watch this....lol)
I want to watch this because of Jaejoong!! :D

My reaction... "Another medical drama...meh, who's the cassss... JaeJoong! SSH! I'm watching!" ...lol
I want to watch this for the whole thing. SSH, JaeJoong! and the plot. I have not seen the Jdrama "yet" so I have no preconceived notions about it. I am interested. We shall see. Unlike Operation Proposal where I did see Proposal Daisakusen. I am not watching OP, not because I'm snobbing out over the original (which I can tend to do sometimes) but because I can't watch that plot again! Once was enough I think. It depends of the remake for me whether I can give something a second go. But I am keeping my mind open to watch both Jin and this remake as well. JaeJoong!!!
MBC has just picked this up! The conversation-slash-article on dramabeans say it's due 'sometime this year.'

And it's another time-travel story?! So 2012's theme is Time-Traveling and all the men do it!

Lis, here's some eyecandy for you. Sorry, no Jaejoong yet. You might even have read this already. :)

Hahaha. I don't really care for medical dramas either but the fact that it's a time-travelling one and especially Jaejoong being in it makes it a must watch for me :p It's kind of funny, the other day I was watching live performances from JYJ and thinking I wanted to watch something new with Jaejoong and the next day the news for this came out haha.

I haven't seen the Jdrama yet but I do plan on watching it sometime. This one I'll probably get to first because I'll watch it while it's airing haha.

I haven't seen Proposal Daisakusen yet but I'm still planning on it. I started Operation Proposal first though because I've been dying to watch something with Yoo Seung Ho in it ever since I found out he's only 8 days older than me :p That's the closest I've come in age range with any actor I know of haha. I'll probably postpone watching the original for a while though. I'm liking OP though (:
JaeJoong and SSH..i don't care about the plot..i'm watching !!! ^_^

Song Seung Heon-Kim Jaejoong’s “Time Slip Dr. Jin” scheduled to be MBC’s successor to “Light and Shadows?”

The drama “Time Slip Doctor Jin” starring Song Seung Heon and Kim Jaejoong has finally been confirmed to air on MBC starting from either June or July.

On the 4th MBC officials stated that Time Slip Dr. Jin would be broadcasted by MBC in either the month of June or July. It will be the successor of the current hit “Light and Shadows” and is expected to be a powerful drama because of the combination of the two male leads [Song Seung Heon and Kim Jaejoong].

The drama “Time Slip Dr. Jin” tells a story of one of the best doctors from 2012 transcending time and space to end up in the Joseon Dynasty of 1860. This medical drama is based on the Japanese manga “JIN”, for which a TBS drama by the same name was created in 2009, causing a sensation throughout Japan.

Song Seung Heon and JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong will appear for the first time together in this drama that is directed by Han Heui, who has worked on the direction and production of dramas such as “Over the Rainbow”, “Super Rookie”, and “The Bean Chaff of My Life”. The scriptwriter for “Dr Jin”, Han JiHoon, has written several hit movies and dramas including “Taeguki”, “Boy’s Don’t Cry” (t/n: also known as Once Upon a Time in Seoul), and “Time Between Dog and Wolf”.

Song Seung Heon will be playing the role of a genius doctor who must use his intellect to deal with the challenges of traveling over 150 years in time. Kim Jaejoong will take the role of the first son of a noble house that is known for their exceptional martial arts skills. This role will be Kim Jaejoong’s first attempt at historical acting.

The production crew for the drama stated that “We will finalize the details for the casting of the female cast sooner or later” and that “filming will begin on April 15th”.

Though there has been controversy as of late because of the similarities in plot between “Time Slip Dr. Jin” and the SBS medial-fantasy fusion drama “Faith”, both dramas are still in production. Broadcast dates for “Faith” seem to be scheduled to begin in the month of August.
